Obama Sends Major US Corps to Prop Up Egypt’s Ruling Muslim Bro’hood – Coca-Cola, Exxon, Pfizer

By Debbie Schlussel

Well, Obama is finally doing something to fix the economy. The Obama administration sent representatives of major U.S. corporations to jump start it. The problem is, it’s not our economy. It’s the jihadist one in Egypt. Corporate execs were sent to prop up Muslim Brotherhood rule over Egypt. Sadly, Coca-Cola, Exxon, and Pfizer, were part of the group and plan to do business with pro-HAMAS Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi.

obamasmiling.jpg

This reverse corporate welfare to prop up the parent organization to HAMAS and Al-Qaeda is frightening and could have far-reaching consequences. Don’t be surprised if these companies start giving more and more money to HAMAS CAIR in the U.S. and other radical malefactors that enable and even fundraise for Islamic terrorism and intolerance.

CAIRO – A delegation of more than 100 American business leaders is touring Cairo this week, part of a White House-led effort to burnish Egypt’s image as an investment destination and help restore the country’s flagging economy.

Yup, screw America’s economy. Obama is concerned about a more important economy–that of ground zero for jihad.

The delegation forms the crux of a wider U.S.-led effort to prevent the economy of Egypt—which Washington sees as an important security ally—from becoming more destabilized.

Washington and Cairo are in the midst of negotiating the terms for about $1 billion in debt relief and U.S. diplomats have said they are nudging the International Monetary Fund toward extending a $4.8 billion loan to Egypt’s government.

Egypt’s newly inaugurated president and prime minister on Sunday reassured regional executives from U.S. firms including ExxonMobil, Coca-Cola Cos., and Pfizer Inc. that they plan to restore the kind of political stability and growth that had made Egypt a regional economic champion before its revolution early last year.

The unusually large trade delegation puts in sharp relief the political uncertainty and inefficiency that could continue to drag on growth and put off foreign investment.

The rush to rescue Egypt’s economy followed President Mohamed Morsi’s inauguration as the country’s first freely and fairly elected president in late June. . . .

But Mr. Morsi’s administration still oversees a transitional governance system that lacks a parliament or permanent constitution. He awarded himself full authority over the country’s executive and legislative branches in a decision last month that sidelined the once all-powerful military. . . .

Arriving at Cairo’s airport, many businesspeople caught a glimpse of how lingering political difficulties are damaging Egypt’s economy. Many of the executives’ flights were delayed or rerouted because of a labor strike by employees of EgyptAir, the country’s national carrier. . . .

Mumtaz Al Said, Egypt’s finance minister, told the American business leaders on Sunday that Egypt needs an injection of 270 billion Egyptian pounds (about $45 million) in investment to reach 4.5% annual growth by later this year, but that a 7% rate of growth would be needed to help the country’s unemployment problem.

When they said, “Coke Adds Life,” in the old Coca-Cola ads, who knew they meant it would add life to the jihad? I heard Coke is already developing a new drink for the purpose: “The Blind (Milk) Sheikh.” Comes in Vanilla and Chocolate with lots of blood. After all Coke’s new friend, Mohammed Morsi, vowed to free Sheikh Omar Abdul Rahman a/k/a “The Blind Sheikh,” who helped plan and carry out the 1993 Al-Qaeda World Trade Center bombing, from America’s prisons.

Glad Obama has his priorities straight about which economy to jump-start. Clearly, the only thing he can give the American economy–ya know, the one over which he’s supposed to be Prez–is a middle-finger salute.

Facebook Friend Jake Lee:

Pfizer? Its a good idea to give Viagra to the Muslim Brotherhood?

Facebook Friend Michael Hill Goldstein:

Can we send Oscar Mayer to open up a bacon processing plant?

Yep.

DS_ROCKS! on September 10, 2012 at 4:40 pm

Oh, the madness extends far beyond this attempt at corporate assistance.

Even as Egypt is negotiating for a billion in debt relief from the US, Egypt is negotiating with Germany to procure two new submarines for a cost of just over … one billion dollars. Egypt is also buying surface ships from Europe, as well as advanced fighter jets and tanks paid for using US military aid.

And it gets worse. Even as the US is scaling back the upcoming missile defense exercise with Israel scheduled for October, the US is scheduling defensive and *offensive* exercises with Egypt.

One thing about Coca Cola: The local bottler was originally Jewish-owned. The property was seized in Nasser’s day without compensation, the owner and his family expelled.

Raymond in DC on September 10, 2012 at 5:07 pm

Well, we know that the stimulus in the US didn’t help the economy. It went to the special interests, the unions, state governments that fizzled it away, and Obama’s buddies. So what will happen in Egypt? The same thing. It will go to the special interests. But, as you say, the main special interest is the Muslim Brotherhood. So the money will go to the Muslim Brotherhood, and the pockets of the rulers and their buddies. And the economic results will be about as good as those in Gaza and the West Bank.

I’m no fan of Obama. But to be fair, he could simply be exploiting what’s happening in Egypt to benefit U.S. conglomerates.

It’s reasonable to think it’s possible he may have been pressured by these conglomerates to force their business into Egypt.

frank on September 10, 2012 at 6:36 pm

Frank, “Exploiting what is happening in Egypt”??? You mean the taking over by the MB. How is exploiting THAT good for America?

Frank, tomorrow is 11 years since 9/11…an Islam job. Perhaps you should spend some long hours going through DS’ archive so you have at least an inkling of what Islam is all about. If you knew you would never had said what you did.

It’s getting more than annoying that peeps 11 years after STILL don’t get it. If you frequent here you ought to know better.

Skunky on September 10, 2012 at 7:18 pm

Many of these countries already have some presence in Egypt. Also, anyone who would invest a dime there now would have to be utterly insane. Any large and visible American presence in Egypt would be subject to attack by mobs or terror groups. Also, the article’s referral to Egypt as an economic powerhouse in the region is silly. It has been stagnant for years. That was one of the factors behind the Arab Spring.

      Worry01 on September 10, 2012 at 11:21 pm

@ Sooooooooo….. I would just like to point out the fact that you advised Frank to look through the “DS archives” to get “an inkling” of what Islam is… Well… I would just like to point out the second fact that this is an INCREDIBLY opinionated/biased/subjective and, from the few paragraphs I read before I stopped out of disgust, extremely apocryphal. This site is for one underinformed and close minded woman to project her misguided views onto people who are obviously willing to accept her as an authority on Islam. What. A. Joke.

HooplaJones on September 13, 2012 at 11:23 pm

Hm, America would be in Fat City if ITS economy was growing at 4.5 percent each year. Don’t worry about these companies’ bottom lines, though. They will surely offset this largesse by charging Americans higher prices for the same garbage. Never thought I’d see the Coca-Cola Co. become a tool for global socialism.

Statusmonkey on September 10, 2012 at 6:45 pm

Conservatives ought to know that you can’t trust large corporations one bit. They gladly make the ovens and gas, and would do so again in the future. Large corporations are the enemies of freedom (and great friends of the left, which is no coincidence).

adam on September 10, 2012 at 7:26 pm

One other thing: Coke, Pfizer, and the rest (including the American taxpayer) are helping Egypt buy not farm equipment, not telecom equipment, no…we’re all helping them to buy German submarines. These submarines would pose a threat to Israel’s burgeoning offshore energy interests.

adam on September 10, 2012 at 7:43 pm

If we really wanted to handicap Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood, we’d send scores of Code Pink types, the SPLC, ACLU, and federal regulators. The real ugly Americans.

P. Aaron on September 10, 2012 at 8:34 pm

    @P.Aaron,

A courageous man did something very similar to that in 1919. And believe it or not, the great man – Palmer by name – was a lifelong Democrat. If Bill Clinton had appointed an AG in that mold instead of Janet Reno, those hijackers from 2001 wouldn’t have had a GHOST of a chance.

Statusmonkey on September 10, 2012 at 11:45 pm

I doubt many of them are seriously thinking about investing in Egypt. Except, perhaps, the Left-wing Anti-Christian Fascists who run Coke.

Daniel Middleman on September 10, 2012 at 9:02 pm

What Egypt needs is a civil war, similar to the one in Syria. Alas, no such divide is in sight (unlike the ones in Syria, Iraq and Yemen)

Infidel on September 11, 2012 at 12:59 am

Let us hope and pray that corporations, which have to answer to STOCKHOLDERS, will be reluctant to do business in a country where the even MORE violent, even MORE radical Moslems may revolt and seize their property tomorrow.

Miranda Rose Smith on September 11, 2012 at 1:57 am

Wow!!!!!! Between this and the newly formed “Executive Chef Corps” (brought to you by ‘Silly Hilly’ and the DOS) the world will be a much better place and my hard earned money which gets unceremoniously sucked away in taxes every year will continue being pissed away.

This country needs a serious overhaul starting with the Marxist administration and work its way down….

WTF-over!

IceNoMore on September 11, 2012 at 6:04 am

I noticed in Debbie’s post that these execs were delayed by a labor strike. I’m thinking that maybe we should export American unions to Egypt. Let the teachers unions bog down the jihad training schools. The construction workers unions can make any job last for years with no real output, and the transportation unions can definitely slow down the process of getting anything anywhere. It wouldn’t shut them down, but if it made them as effective as the unions we have in America, we would see a sharp decline in terrorist attacks.

We have a President supporting Muslim Brotherhood radicals in Egypt! The President is not friendly to Benjamin N.of Isreal! Americans need to speak on Nov6,2012!

CornCoLeo on September 11, 2012 at 10:24 am

Look like Obama is trying to make jobs and he too stupid to know we need jobs in the us. Why wouuld he want to suport this group with there bad pass records.Obama is just on the wrong side of most american issues………..EVERYONE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA NEEDS
TO READ THIS, KEEP IT GOING ! Obama in his own words.
From Sunday’s 07 Sept. 2008 11:48:04 EST, Televised “Meet the Press” the THEN Senator Obama was asked about his stance on the American Flag.
General Bill Gann’ USAF (ret.) asked Obama to explain WHY he doesn’t follow protocol when the National Anthem is played.
The General stated to Obama that according to the United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171…
During rendition of the national anthem, when the flag is displayed, all present (except those in uniform) are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Or, at the very least, “Stand and Face It”.
NOW GET THIS !!’Senator Obama replied:
“As I’ve said about the flag pin, I don’t want to be perceived as taking sides”. “There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression..” “The anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all that sort of thing.”
(ARE YOU READY FOR THIS???)
Obama continued: “The National Anthem should be ‘swapped’ for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song ‘I’d Like To Teach the World To Sing’. If that were our anthem, then, I might salute it. In my opinion, we should consider reinventing our National Anthem as well as ‘redesign’ our Flag to better offer our enemies hope and love. It’s my intention, if elected, to disarm America to the level of acceptance to our Middle East Brethren. If we, as a Nation of warring people, conduct ourselves like the nations of Islam, where peace prevails – – – perhaps a state or period of mutual accord could exist between our governments ……”
When I become President, I will seek a pact of agreement to end hostilities between those who have been at war or in a state of enmity, and a freedom from disquieting oppressive thoughts. We as a Nation, have placed upon the nations of Islam, an unfair injustice which is WHY my wife disrespects the Flag and she and I have attended several flag burning ceremonies in the past”.
“Of course now, I have found myself about to become the President of the United Statesand I have put my hatred aside. I will use my power to bring CHANGE to this Nation, and offer the people a new path. My wife and I look forward to becoming our Country’s First black Family. Indeed, CHANGE is about to overwhelm the United States of America ”
Yes, you read it right.
I, for one, am speechless!!!

@Debbie – i know you are not a fan of Dinesh D’Douza but he did warn us in detail about this Obama’s strategy in Egypt, Iran and Saudia Arabia to install the Muslim Brotherhood.

Rochelle on September 11, 2012 at 11:37 am

And how does Egypt respond to this largess?!… They are going to buy Iranian oil!…

Iran has lost so much oil revenue that the black market currency exchange rate for hard currency (US$, Euro etc) gives you double the value then the official rate… In addition, the Iranian regime needs the oil revenues to keep its economy rolling…

Of course, the Egyptians realize this will upset the US but they also realize that Obama won’t take any real measures (like canceling US aid) so they know they have nothing to lose and everything to gain…

The Egyptians will spit, Obama will claim it’s only rain and the Iranian regime will be able to continue their repression of their people for some more time to come…

My socks are made in Vietnam, and my neighbor’s cars are made in either Germany or Japan.

wallyworkswell writes, “The President is not friendly to Benjamin N.of Isreal! Americans need to speak on Nov6,2012!”

An article today in Israel’s Ha’aretz (left-wing) paper reports that Netanyahu has requested a meeting with Obama when the two are at the UN at the end of this month. The two are hardly “on the same page” these days and things are getting rather testy. Ha’aretz reports that Obama does not want to meet Netanyahu. (I suspect he will in the end, if only for appearance sake.)

Raymond in DC on September 11, 2012 at 2:20 pm

Send “Government Motors” (GM) over there. Sell them “Volts” and they will run out of “gas” on the way to the suicide bombing. And then after the Egyptians join unions, GM will outsource their jobs to China. Next, the Egyptian government will have to bail them out! And, send them LOTS of Viagra. Then they will be too busy screwing each other to try to screw Israel!

RT on September 11, 2012 at 2:41 pm

This doesn’t suprise me at all. What would you expect from Obama who is good friends with the Brotherhood. They visit the Whitehouse quite often. He’ll do anything to help them stay in power in Egypt and expand in the middle east
You also know that we(Obama and Clinton) gave the Brotherhood $1.5 Billion in foreign aid. $1.5 billion of borrowed money.
God help us all if Obama get re-elected.

Roy Patterson on September 11, 2012 at 6:27 pm

If you think Romney would have done anything different – he wouldn’t have!

America is royally screwed! We’re giving the people who stormed our embassy and burned our flag the wherewithal to hang us!

Coca Cola and Pfizer for the Jihad! All in an American Dhimmi’s good day’s work.

Debbie,
L’ Shanah Tovah.
Spot on with this column. While America burns, Obama fiddles in front of Letterman’s audience.
I penned a column addressing burning of north Africa and how those countries should be stripped of all funding.
