VIDEO: Yes, Obama Throws LIke a Girl; Hey, At Least Bush Could Throw

By Debbie Schlussel
Is a tryout for the WNBA next? He’s got the weak, overhead throw down pat (as well as missing the target). And if you listen closely, you can hear the booing.

BTW, “Roachenator,” who posted this video on YouTube has these grat comments:

Obama throws like Greta van Susteren. Fox didnt show the angle of the pitch landing due to Obama’s media request since he didnt want to be embarrassed on TV.
Where did it land? Was it a strike or wasn’t it? Why didn’t the network choose a better camera to shoot from? Those were the questions that viewers of baseball’s All-Star Game were asking themselves at home after Fox elected to show President Barack Obama’s ceremonial first pitch at the 80th All-Star Game from a tight angle.
Ruling as a part-time umpire who had a good view from the pressbox at Busch Stadium, Obama’s pitch was a no-doubt-about-it ball, even factoring in an expanded strike zone for the Commander-in-Chief. Obama’s southpaw delivery was a little short of the plate, but Cardinals star Albert Pujols(notes) was able to save it by quickly scooping it up.
UPDATE: Pujols says the pitch “didn’t hit the ground.”

Great analysis.
At least Bush could throw. Here’s a great comparison vid:

I gotta say, my favorite comment on all this is from Jimmy Kimmel’s monologue, last night. He said Obama in jeans looks like his aunt Linda in jeans.
File Under: Girlie Men.

I listened pretty carefully to the video and I didn’t hear anything that even sounded like booing. The crowd sounded to me like a star-struck mob if anything.

Just listen to that enthusiastic crowd embrace Dear Leader; “BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!” Absolutely resonating. Barry throws like a 7 year old girl, and that ball bounced about 2′ short of the plate.

O.K., I take my comment back. I turned my laptop’s sound up and I did hear an undercurrent of booing. But it seemed to stop even before the bad pitch.

While I would ordinarily never suggest that anyone go to Reuters’ website, they have an angle on the throw that shows where it would have landed.
It would not have cleared the plate, but it didn’t hit the ground. The catcher leaned forwards and reached an open glove pointing up way across the plate to get it before it bounced.
It’s well known that both Ronald Reagan and Bush practiced their throw ahead of time.
[L: HOW DO WE KNOW THAT OBAMA DIDN’T PRACTICE AHEAD OF TIME AND STILL FAILED? I’D BET ON THAT. DS]

I canít believe this is even news.
But since it seems to be the subject of choice for MSM, G-d forbid they talk of anything relevant. The only thing meaningful about this event is the narcissist TOTUS wouldnít allow the camera to record where his throw was going to land, out of fear of being embarrassed on TV. I guess when you donít have a teleprompter to throw the ball for you thatís what happens. To bad he didnít feel embarrassed about his bow to the Saudi King, his disrespect towards the Browns, and Queen Elizabeth, and his continued apologizing to the Muslim world and beyond.

Deborah, in terms of Obama’s throw–EPIC FAIL! Bush at game 1 of the ’01 World Series…a pitch that would be called a strike right down the pike. Then again, this was at Yankee Stadium (the old one) and Roger Clemens was there to catch the pitch.

Next week we will have the PHOTOSHOPED version of the pitch complete with a MPH record and a statement from the catcher on how the ball hurt his hand when he caught it.

Notice the driver of the cart – he stares straight ahead the whole time Obama is standing right next to the cart. Only when Obama reaches over, does he glance at him, and briefly shake his hand. This is NOT the action of a man who is thrilled to meet “The One”.

UPDATE: Pujols says the pitch “didn’t hit the ground.”
Yes, Puhol’s right. But what he didn’t say and another camera angles shows, is that Pujols took a half-step forward on his right leg to keep the ball from pitching into the dirt.
Oy!

Debbie, this in a nuthshell tells us all we need to know about BHO. What a fraud. GWB at least threw like he had a pair, allowed it to be televised, and inspired real cheers. People cheered for BHO like they thought they were supposed to, and there won’t be any U-S-A chants with him in the room.

Debbie, not everyone is booing Obama. Apparently Ahmed Omar Abu Ali, who joined al-Qaeda and plotted to kill George W. Bush sued to read Obama’s books in prison which where previously banned. I guess Obama’ book club is filled with al-Qaeda members. I can imagine Ali’s to do list.

Suddenly everyone forgets the story about how Obama stiffed the troops to instead go drain some three-pointers, I guess.
That’s okay, I understand. It’s hard to remember when all your attacks are so shallow and pointless.

Listening the crowd shouting “USA! USA!” for W is melting.
What a diference between W (with all his many mistakes) and O.
