Men, the New Women, Alert: New York Times Pimps the “Man Corset”

By Debbie Schlussel
Many times on this site, I’ve told you about many feminine fashion choices that the gay men and masculine women who run the fashion industry have been pimping on man.
And so it continues.
Recently, I told you about “Man-genta“–the new color name the fashion industry invented to get men to wear pink. But that’s nothin’ compared to the . . . “MAN CORSET.” John Paul Gaulthier presented it in his fashion collection at last week’s Paris Men’s Fashion Week runway show. And the New York Times just loves it. Figures. (Thanks to reader Rodrigo Veleda of Brazil for the tip.)

Bottom line: If you’re a man, dress like one. Wear men’s, not women’s, clothing.

Gross-out. Moreover, the model doesn’t look too pleased about wearing it.

He looks ridiculous!!!

B”H
Gee. Suddenly the prohibition in the Torah of men wearing women’s clothing has a heightened meaning.

Excuse me while I go gag myself with a spoon.

Maybe the NY Times will encourage Obama to wear one when he summits with Dinnerjacket. Perhaps the Iranians will be so smitten with the man corset, they’ll give up nukes and cease funding for terrorist groups. Hey, my peace studies prof loves the idea.

Uhhh… “Man-Corset”??? That’s 5 kinds of gay right there.

I’m sure it works wonders on man-boob cleavage!

Doda McCheesle on June 29, 2009 at 10:57 am

Well, that’s disturbing.

Oh, ick!
My lunch is doing somersaults in my tummy.

Yeah it is an abomination. BUT, look at it like a scarlet letter that THEY WILLINGLY WEAR. If there was any doubt in your mind that you wanted to help out the person on the side of the road with car trouble, or assist somebody lifting something heavy into their car at a store, or even more serious issues, you don’t have to feel guilty anymore! Just by the cover of the book you can decide that you don’t want any contact.
Like uniforms for students. I look at it from a law enforcement stand point. Wearing the gangster style crap allows the rest of us to label them lowlifes we should watch out for.

The girlfriend looks good in an oversized man’s shirt over the weekend but its a no no for a man to wear a corset. That’s a fashion atrocity and even gay men into fashion should put thumbs down on it. It looks terrible!

NormanF on June 29, 2009 at 1:50 pm

This is so sick. Gay men have no shame. And these male models have been neutered to say anything different. A majority of voters voted to emasculate themselves by voting for KING HUSSEIN COBRAMA. This is just the liberal left expressing themselves.
This is just a by-product of liberal parenting that says children should “explore the world” than have defined roles and boundaries. So we are reaping all the crap that Dr. Spock brainwashed parents into believing. They are exploring their inner feminine side.
I bet that guy gets a horrible tan line. Hahahahaha!!

californiascreaming on June 29, 2009 at 3:36 pm

oy. It never ends–no absolutes, no black and white, all is “whatever makes you happy…,” the mantra of the godless world. The rush to Sodom is picking up speed.

BB on June 29, 2009 at 4:18 pm

Is is me, or does this model look like a tranny hooker? We just need some really horrible makeup and a wig to finish this guy’s persona. I would not even get near someone dressed like that to avoid being confused with a gay “john”.

Fricken rediculous. Male purses, that f*g male pink color, male corsets, male make up, male body wash and then there is obama. This world is going to hell in a hand basket. No scratch that. Not a hand basket. The world is going to hell in a wheel barrow. That’s a little more manly.
I’m sick of all of the lefty changes that I’ve seen over the last several years. One more generation and you won’t be able to tell males from females.

AntiJihad on June 29, 2009 at 10:19 pm

Anti, in the world of the future, men will be redundant. Biotechnology has already eliminated their pathetic role in reproduction. You won’t be able to tell males from females because no males will be around by then.

It will be the age of the she/man.

In that NY Times article that one ‘outfit’ looks like a clown suit all it needs is a big red nose. These people have way too much time on their hands.

Looks like standard wear for the male ICE mgmt in HQ. (Let’s’ not forget the “glazed doughnut” applique)…

ICEnomore on June 30, 2009 at 11:04 am

The cultural ground is definitely undergoing a tectonic shift.

ophu on December 20, 2009 at 12:16 am

You know, the really funny thing is that men and women always complain about not being able to understand each other. I wonder why.

ophu on December 20, 2009 at 12:30 am

“if you’ re a man dress like one” really? REALLY!? the fact is that fashion is a perfect example of how gender is CONSTRUCTED in society this corset was MADE FOR A MAN thus it is mens clothing. Also, the corset is an excellent example of how fashion is not about real people think about it, if the hourglass corset figure is “essentially feminine” then why dont ALL WOMEN HAVE HOUR GLASS FIGURES??
…who decides what is mens clothing or not is there some ULTIMATE guide that lists all the clothing that is masculine or is it just that men shouldn’t be able to express themselves and that anything LABELED “feminine” is inherently Inferior? no one is MAKING YOU wear or do anything you don’t want to (ie get married, express affection for the same sex, or wear a dress) comments that that make me so mad, insinuating a “gay take over” its a completely 2 dimensional moral panic and not constructive at all 🙁

Aaron on December 13, 2010 at 2:14 pm

Thank you for saying that, so I don’t have too. I actually think it doesn’t look bad, but it’s a little loose for a corset.

If models can’t wear whatever they want, who the hell can?
