BACON Now “Anti-Islamic Hate Crime” – NYPD Investigates; Walking Your Dog Now “Anti-Islamic Hate Crime” in Toronto

Next thing you know, I’ll be arrested for eating matzoh ball soup. But, first, you bacon-eaters are the hate crime artists in New York:

NYPD Investigates the Threat of Bacon

An end of Ramadan celebration was tainted yesterday when guests discovered three packages of uncooked bacon in a Staten Island park in what police are saying is a possible bias incident.

The revelers gathered in New Dorp Beach Park for the Eid-ul-Fitr when the pork product was discovered near the football field at 7:30 a.m., police said.

“On a website associated with this celebration was some derogatory comments,” said Police Commissioner Ray Kelly in a press conference today.

“This has been determined to be a bias event,” Kelly said.

The statements were made by a person who identified himself as “007 Midland.”

“We are attempting to locate the individual who made the comments on the web site,” Kelly said.

This is absurd. A website in the United States of America cannot say anything truthful about Islam without Ray Kelly saying it’s a “bias event”? And then they investigate bacon in a park? Huh? What the heck happened to the First Amendment?

We Jews invented the prohibition on bacon, which Muslims stole from our religion (their religion is mostly shoplifted from Judaism and Christianity). But we don’t have any problem with everyone else consuming it to their heart’s content. Anything less would be un-American. The intolerance of Islam and its encroachment on American freedoms is growing because we allow it . . . and because organizations like the NYPD allow themselves to become bacon detectives. Pathetic. I wonder if my friend A. H. Killa knows he’s committed a hate crime for making this funny rap about bacon during Ramadan. Might offend the Muslims.

Dogs may soon also be a hate crime in America, because they offend Muslims. Already are a hate crime in Canada, where someone was arrested for walking his dog in the park near an anti-Semitic Muslim protest for “Al-Quds Day” (Al-Quds is the Muslim wishful thinking name for Jerusalem). The dog offended them. From Blazing Cat Fur:

“I was arrested at the rally for, “offending Islam” by walking in a PUBLIC park with my dog. Apparently, Muslims do not like dogs. I was warned by a few demonstrators not to go near them. Of course I ignored them and reminded them this is Canada, not Pakistan. Well I was assaulted and returned the favor in kind.

At that point I was jumped by four COPS, dragged off and hand cuffed. Oh my the police were so angry! They said I was, “insensitive” and “inciting a riot”. 30 minutes later they cut me a big deal. No charges if I left. So I left. Imagine this happening in Canada? Walking a licensed dog on a leash at the park in front of our Provincial Legislature and being arrested for that simple act!”

If you don’t think we’ve lost the West, think again. It is only a matter of time–a few generations. Say good-bye. They are only a small minority, and look how much power they have to take away our freedoms already. Freedom to eat bacon. Freedom to walk your dog in a park.

Okay, we can burn the flag, and shoot soldiers in Fort Hood, neither of which are considered hate crimes, but having bacon in the park is a hate crime? This sounds like an expression of free speech, if indeed this was a protest against Islam. Or maybe someone forgot their bacon.

I am so so glad to hear that New York City no longer has murders, rapes, or robberies, so that the police have time to capture the bacon wrangler.

I can kind of understand the bacon thing being a hate crime actually. One time I was buying matzo for passover and someone had put a package of pork rinds on the matzo table in the grocery store. Why would someone put pork rinds on a table which only has Jewish food. Yeah, could be a coincidence, but I doubt it. This seemed like a hate crime to me. I guess I don’t fully understand the circumstances of the above “bacon incident”. Did someone leave the bacon with the intention to offend Muslims? If so, it might be a hate crime IMO.

Z: A public park is a public place, so anyone can have bacon there and it is NOT a hate crime, no matter what the intention is. What’s the crime? There has to be a crime for it to even possibly be a hate crime. A supermarket is a private business and that’s tampering–what you are talking about. Not the same thing. Not even close. DS

But I don’t think moving pork rinds within the confines of the grocery store could be a considered a crime… unless they opened them and ate a few before setting them down. The bacon in the park sounds to me like a woman walking home from the grocery store, sitting down on a park bench to rest, putting a package down and forgetting it.

Norman, that’s ignorant and speaks of self hatred. First of all the Reform already have and so have many of the Conservatives. But we Orthodox will never change that because the prohibition in the Torah is clear and cannot be changed. It expressly says pigs are unclean. There’s no question of interpretation. FYI, we Orthodox don’t hate the parts of Islam that are in accord with our practice of Torah nor do we wish to prevent them from observing those benign practices. I WANT Muslimas to be allowed to wear hijabs because if they aren’t, I can’t wear a scarf either and NO, wigs are NOT accepted by the majority of Orthodox rabbis. It is a scarf that is mandated.

Oh, and Norman, a good many Orthodox in Israel will not own a dog because they believe it is unclean to touch them, there is a prohibition against neutering although some permit spaying of controlled females and while the Caanani is the national dog, the Hoopoe is the national bird, also an unclean species. Most Israelis also have a very poor opinion of cats although they will leave out food for them.

There is a high regard for dogs in the Talmud as man’s best friend and rabbis owned them.

This positive appreciation of the dog is the one thing Islam didn’t rip off from Judaism.

Dogs have played a role in Jewish life since Biblical times and that role continues in Israel today.

I’m not speaking of out of self hatred, if G-d allowed it, Jews would behave far better than the Muslims. That’s my point, if they were allowed to eat pork they wouldn’t impose it on any one else just like Jews don’t impose their abstaining from pork on others.

Jewish women dress modestly because the customs evolved among them and they weren’t imposed by men. And Jewish women aren’t forced to be invisible to spare men from a lack of self control. It isn’t compulsory they way it is in Islam and Jews don’t commit “honor killings” of their daughters. Too much can be made about the similarities between Jewish and Islamic religious practices.

Its the differences that are far more critical.

Over the weekend on saturday, one of my friends on facebook who’s from Iran and an atheist was at a anti-Ahmadinejad rally and pro-freedom for Iran rally in Toronto, Ont. (which was very peaceful, no violence, intimidation, etc.), and now this story, 24 hours later, these koran-toting muslims (or muzzies some of you refer to these religious whackjobs) held their so-called pro-Al Quds rally in a park in Toronto, Ont. and intimidated a certain Canadian citizen because the dude walked his dog, you know F**K these islamists, I AM SO DAMN FREAKING SICK AND TIRED OF US HERE IN THE WEST PANDERING AND BENDING OUR DAMN ASSES BACKWARDS TO THESE MOTHERFREAKING RELIGIOUS THROWBACKS WHO USES THEIR RELIGION FOR BIGOTTED AND HATEFUL ISSUES (sorry for the cap-locks, whenever I use caps, that means that I’m very angry and ticke off)!

A blind woman in the UK sued a taxi service for refusing her a ride with her guide dog. Being considerate to those less fortunate and visually disabled, not part of their creed.

Being a champion of all precious pooches especially the nu-breed of ‘Working Dogs’ it might be an idea if these dogs go on strike and protest en masse. Reduce airport security costs and bring in the sniffer dogs, loads of them. Insulin sniffing dogs for diabetic children, cancer sniffing dogs, earthquake retrieving sniffer dogs, Autism support dogs, the list is endless.

‘Paws for thought’, who isn’t emotionally charged with the pictures of fallen soldiers with the flag draped caskets and the beloved working dogs sadly lying at their masters feet, for one last time. Just heart breaking.

We can conclude that those who classify dogs as ‘DIRTY’ are themselves D-I-R-T-Y, inside and out.

But there has to be an identifiable target.

Where Muslims targeted? No! And according to the federal government’s own report of hate crimes in America – which Debbie has posted about before before on this site – do a search – Islamphobia is so negligible it doesn’t even register as a hate crime.

Anti-Semitism does and every year it seems to increase and Debbie will have for us another report about it before the year ends.

Concerning the dog walking incident, I would like to get some confirmation. All the accounts that I can find track back to the same source.
I asked my relatives in Toronto about it, they hadn’t heard anything about it, and didn’t find anything about it on their local media websites.
My sister suggested that the man may have been cuffed because he admitted to hitting someone.
So, do we any any independent confirmation of this?

Most of the mainstream media up here shies away from stuff like this. They don’t want to offend or call attention to it. SUN TV has given it good attention, so has Radio 640, and The Toronto Sun. (The National Post has become increasingly politically correct in the past year) The folks at Blazing Catfur and a few other local blogs are all over this kind of stuff on a regular basis and have loads of video onsite to back it up.

A lot of stuff gets left in parks, so what!

Muslims offend me but I wouldn’t be bothered doing anything against them unless they started something with me.
Like the guy in the park with his dog , ok maybe he did that deliberately to annoy the Muslims but that did not give anyone the right to put their hands on him or shove him.
Interesting though that in that group a Muslim was holding a sign saying death to Jews and the police did nothing about that and that was a hate crime loud and clear , rather they took away the man with his dog and mysteriously that sign disappeared once the man and his dog were removed.
Police need to be doing their jobs and if arresting the Muslim with the hate sign created a mini riot, so be it there are lots of police to deal with them.

I look at it this way… if Muhammed (provided that he did exist, when in fact he probably never existed in the first place, yadda yadda) were to have slain 1000 people in his lifetime, then the Muslims themselves would be led to believe that each adherent is worth 1000 non-Muslims.

That would be considered dangerous and even suicidal. Which explains the surrenderist mentality of cowards and quislings – the fear that they would be outnumbered by a handful of people who believe that they can rule the world just by being a Muslim.

Debbie has some issues with George with respect to his book, “Vengeance” and the allegations that it was a complete fabrication. I read the Wikipedia entry on George Jonas and his book, which was allegedly based on the testimony of a former Mossad operative. While I haven’t read the book, which spawned 2 movies, “Sword of Gideon” and “Munich”, I’d give Debbie the benefit of a doubt.

Awhile back in Australia, a Muslim fast food server went berserk when someone ordered a bacon cheeseburger.

It wouldn’t be a problem for observant Jews since they would never handle or eat non-kosher food.

But it does point out the Muslim hypocrisy in willing to work in a food business that’s not halal.

Reading this article just whetted my appetite for some bacon, accompanied w/ sausages. Or maybe some panchetta toppings on a pizza. Or salami. Quite a selection to choose from.

I have a theory that all the world is a de facto Shariah state – the ones that don’t have it in the books implement it through vigilante activism, or lobbying. So if a Muslimah in the US wants to apostatize, she has to be secret about it, or else, a Muslim will kill her – lawful or not.

As I said on the other thread, I warned a Muslimah friend about the dangers of apostasy. But she’s a free spirit and wants to live her own life.

And if she does convert in the West she can never see her family or travel to a Muslim country again.

Islam doesn’t respect freedom of conscience so this is a serious problem. Whether you are born Muslim or convert to it its like “Cosa Nostra” – you’re in for life or you’re dead if you openly try to leave it.

There are people who have left Islam but they have to stay in the closet their entire lives. Islam has many of the characteristics of a cult but unfortunately its not a marginal sect.

I for one am getting a little sick and tired of us in the West capitualting everytime some Muslim gets offended. We here in the USA keep dogs as pets and we eat pork. If you dirtbags don’t like it tough. What’s next outlawing all pork products in grocery stores. Calling what happened a hate crime is a bit of a stretch don’t you think. Oh that’s right it all comes back to my original point. This absurdity needs to be stopped but we all know that the people in charge would rather hold hands and bow to these freaks than to take real action. Now I’m off to Wendy’s to get me a Baconator super size combo with cheese. How ya like me now Muslims. Bruce I like your style. I have three dogs. A Toy Poodle and two German Shepherds. They’ll all males and whenever someone comes over the poodle is the first to the door. It is always funny when they see this little dog barking at them and they think that it’s over. Then comes his backup and you should see the look on people’s faces when they see this two huge dogs come up to look at what’s going on. It’s priceless. I’d hate for some dumbass to try a B and E at my house. First you’d get the warning and then you’d get the double team. I guess that’s why Muslims hate dogs. Incidentally, not a single Muslim has been able to refute anything Ali Sina wrote.

He writes that if Muslims truly understood their religion, they would leave it.

The mullahs know it and like in any cult the key to control is to keep your followers perpetually agitated so they can’t stop to think why Islam is illogical.

In Islam, too much knowledge can be a dangerous thing and if intellectual acquaintance with its tenets is an indication the Muslim respondents to Ali Sina’s site where pretty much in the dark.

And in a cult only the top leaders know the secrets of salvation and this hierarchical top-down principle is fundamental to Islam.

Ali Sina is normally correct about Islam, but unfortunately, he tends to have some romantic fantasies about its members – Muslims. Like his theory that if ‘Muslims truly understood their religion, they’d leave it.’

He really ought to know better. After all, unlike others, such as JW – whose target audiences were non-Muslims, he began his project w/ a Muslim audience in mind, and his site was aimed @ persuading Muslims to jettison Islam. After a number of years, he realized that it was futile, and he too changed focus towards educating non-Muslims about Islam – and Muslims. So it’s not like he is incapable of learning, but he displays a remarkable naivette when it comes to his own countrymen, and asserts that most of them would jettison Islam if the regime was overthrown. There is no evidence to back that, and he’s in for a shock if he genuinely believes that.

This is the problem I have w/ a lot of people – who claim that Islam is evil, but Muslims are good people. Hello? The only reason we sweat about an Islamic threat is that there are 1.5 billion Muslims (my numbers are from adherents.com) worldwide – as you said, it is not marginal. Had the number of Muslims worldwide been even 1.5K, we’d have treated them like we treated the Branch Davidians, and we wouldn’t be bothering about Islam, or what’s in the Quran or Sunnah, or having different ‘experts’ slice and dice their statements, and all that.

That’s my only beef w/ Ali Sina, otherwise his writings and works have been great. But he’s apparently not incapable of arriving @ the right conclusions.

I do wish him success though. He’s currently working on a movie about Mohammed, and has his plans for it. The reason his statement about Iranians came to mind was that in one of the interviews about the movie project he’s doing, he made the statement I cited above about his belief that Iranians would leave Islam in droves, if not en bloc. I find that hard to believe, since Iranians didn’t do that even when they were ruled by the non-Muslim Mongol Ilkhanate in the 12th century (and the Mongols, unlike Muslims, were very tolerant on religion).

I do think he’s right about knowledge. Any one who takes the time to study the Koran, the Sirahs and the Hadith at length knows that the hagiography about Mohammed and the actual details of his life are at variance. If you understand that, you have questions. And asking question in Islam is dangerous, which is why it never happens.

There is truth to Sina’s proposition that Islam can’t afford an educated Muslim and that is why they are kept ignorant beyond the few things they need to know. Like in any cult, the leaders have a lot of power if they keep their followers perpetually ignorant. Which is why the power of Islam comes from mindless devotion to Allah and Mohammed and not through being an intellectual advocate of it.

Islamic scholars do exist who are not foaming at the mouth fanatics but they are few and between. The way Islam has always been imposed on others is through terror, jihad and massive brainwashing, not to preaching the word. People might not leave Islam immediately if the dam of fear was broken but a trickle can become a flood. That won’t happen in a few generations but it might in a few centuries.

As Islamic countries fall further and further behind the rest of the West and Israel, the contradiction between the promises of heaven and the fruits of this world will become too wide to be ignored or papered over. In the end it won’t be its enemies that destroy Islam, Islam will die because it can’t adapt to change fast enough to remain relevant.

Sina strikes me as a Persian nationalist. He is anti-Islamic because he has seen what Islam did to a great civilization.

The Mongols didn’t really de-Islamize the Persians. But the mullahs might well do in the end what all of Islam’s enemies could never do.

Sina is somewhat of a romantic dreamer and he may be right about Iran. I’m not sure though it applies to the Arabs. Islam is integral to Arab life in a way it doesn’t affect other cultures.

And that is why its going to disappear any time soon. No cult has ever really disappeared that had a large number of followers – unless something catastrophic brought about its demise. Fascism, Nazism and Communism are extinct because their adherents were defeated.

Historically speaking, Islam is a very young religion and it has yet to encounter senescence or an intellectual crisis. As long as we are live and for the next few centuries, we will have to fight it. What gives me confidence about it is any totalitarian system has already laid the seeds for its own destruction and Islam is no different in that regard – it will take longer than any one wants to admit and I’m a realist. Expecting it to collapse in this century is the height of fantasy.

A number of people have written essays on Faith-Freedom and Islam Watch on how they were previously devout Muslims, but apostatized @ some point depending on circumstances. Sina was one of the first, if not the first.

In his description, he writes about how he, in his mid life, read the Quran, in its original form, in Arabic, and recoiled @ what it said. And how he was completely turned off once he learnt about the story of Mohammed. Good for him, but getting specimens like him from the ummah is like trying to obtain deuterium or tritium (rare isotopes of hydrogen) from the ocean. Here is why.

A lot of people assume that when Muslims know the whole story, they’d recoil. However, Muslims don’t hide the history of Mohammed from amongst themselves – the Sirah, the Hadiths and the Tafseers leave no illusions about what he did. After his death, his followers ravaged the Byzantine and Sassanid empires and built an empire from Spain to India, and later Indonesia. Any Muslim who follows that story would be, and actually is proud of such accomplishments by first the Arabs, and later the Turks. And that includes Muslims who are descendants of Christians, Jews, Zoroastrians, Buddhists, Hindus, Animists and others. Nobody is interested in what their original ancestors were religion-wise.

Also, while one would expect that Islam would have a weaker hold on non Arab countries, it’s not been the case. Iran is a bit of an exception b’cos their people don’t like being thought of as Arabs, and also, they are Shia rather than Sunni. And that’s the other mistake Sina makes – he extrapolates the example of his people on to people like Turks, Afghans and Pakistanis. Granted that they’re not Arab either, but they are different from Iranians in that they are Sunni, and also, their identity issues are different. The Turks don’t have any complexes about being or not being Arab, since they ruled a number of Arab countries until World War I. The Afghans have an identity issue – it’s Iranians that they want to be seen different from, not Arabs, since large parts of Afghanistan were part of medeaveal Iranian empires. The Pakistanis love being thought of as Arabs if anybody would do it – it’s Indians that they want to be thought of as different. So the assumptions that Sina makes about non Arab Muslims just doesn’t hold.

As far as the economic gap b/w dar ul Islam and the West, that’s there, but hasn’t meant anything. In the 1950s, South Korea was a much poorer country than Egypt, but over these 60 years, they’ve grown to the point where they are an economic powerhouse. When the Arabs didn’t have oil, their enthusiasm for Islam wasn’t any less: it’s just that they thankfully didn’t have the money to manipulate the rest of the world. Since the 1970s, something like $10 Trillion has been transfered to a handful of Arab countries, but instead of using that money for the collective prosperity of the entire ummah, they’ve either squandered it on a decadent lifestyle in case of the Gulf Sheikhdoms, or blown it on weapons of all types to be bought from the Soviets (and Russians and Chinese after them).

So the assumption that is made here is that Muslims don’t know everything about Islam. I tend to think otherwise – I think they know, and that they are not only okay w/ it, but actively endorse and support it. And to different degrees – while some may be willing to pick up a rifle and go to Syria to participate in the Jihad and others may be willing to demonstrate outside a MacDonalds in Lahore to protest something that neither US nor MacDonalds has anything to do with, such as the ‘Everybody draw Mohammed Day’, the others who don’t are just to happy to let them do this.

I do think, however, that Infidels having all this information would be something else, and that if enough of us – everywhere, be it US, Israel, Russia, India, Australia, Europe, China, et al wised up to what’s going on w/ them, things would be very different indeed. So Sina is right – the knowledge is dangerous, but when Infidels have it, not Muslims.

How then you explain that Muslims are morally and culturally backward and to be sure, they have assimilated pretty well the material and technological achievements of the West.

That’s very different from their making new breakthroughs that change their societies. Knowledge is dangerous to them because it can revolutionize an entire society. That why Islam stopped growing spiritually and intellectually after the 9th Century.

The Islamists are trying to go back to the original Islamic desert ideal and they reject even the partial degree of Westernization that has occurred in Islamic societies. They understand all too well that a little knowledge is like being half pregnant. And like I said, the day they are allowed to ask questions is when the whole thing collapses like a house of cards.

To put your conclusion differently, we infidels already have that knowledge of which Sina writes. That why its the Muslims who should be afraid of us rather than we being afraid of them. And the growing gap between West and East will throw into question the Muslim claim to being the “best religion”. Their more extreme elements may succeed in rolling back the influence of the West but purifying and Islamizing Muslim societies will probably end up leaving them even worse off in the future than they are today.

The material & technological advances of the West that the Muslims have assimilated are things they have consumed. For instance, just b’cos they have some of the top brand cars doesn’t mean that they could actually make them.

As an example, the UAE has tried to solve their water problem by reverse osmosis treatment plants, which nobody else does b’cos they are too expensive. Since money is no object for them, they’ve done it. In one of their sports stadiums, they have what they claim to be the world’s largest LCD screen. Note that none of this they can make themselves – they had to pay Western and other engineers to come and put that together for them, and that too w/ money they got not from something they created, but from what Hugh Fitzgerald has often described as an ‘accident of geology’ – oil. Essentially, oil has allowed themselves to buy their way into prosperity, but despite that, thanks to Islam, they are pretty backward. The day the oil runs out, they’re screwed. Most other countries would have used that to build up other industries and enterprises.

It’s true that Islam actively discourages ‘bida’ or innovation, which is obviously a problem as far as their societal progress goes. But if they’ve gone on like that for 700 years, why would it suddenly be different now? You mentioned that Islam is a very young religion. I tend to compare it not w/ religions such as Judaism, Hinduism or Christianity, but rather, w/ ideologies such as Communism or Nazism. It’s a very unique cross b/w a geopolitical ideology, such as Communism, and a cult, such as Heavensgate. (Scientology is quite refined, by comparison)

The knowledge that Sina writes about is knowledge about Islam, not the knowledge that it takes an introspective and a society capable of self-criticism to progress. Yeah, the West and East (I define East as Japan, Korea, China, even India, but not dar ul Islam) is pretty good in the latter regard, which is a major reason for its progress. But everyone doesn’t have the knowledge of how the evil that Muslims indulge in comes from Islam itself. Sina’s theory is that once Muslims know that, they’ll recoil and leave Islam in droves. What I am saying is that they won’t, but that if Infidels get to know the same things – which they currently don’t, despite all the news – they’d stop pandering to Muslims across the spectrum. Once you have that, you’ll see non Muslim societies a lot less dhimmified.

I do wonder what will happen once he’s made his movie, and what will be the events following it.
