Muslim Iran Wimps Out of Olympic Match w/ Israeli Jewish Athlete (b/c Iran Would LOSE)
The anti-Semitism of Iran (which is a proxy for the anti-Semitism of the entire Muslim world, be it Shi’ite, like Iran, or Sunni) is, yet again, on full display at the London Olympic Games, which debut on Friday and which–in appeasing the Muslim world–still will not have a memorial to the Israeli Olympic athletes who were murdered by Islamic terrorists in Munich. And aside from its anti-Semitism, the wimpitude of Iran and the Muslim world is also on display. Iran went to great lengths to make sure that its athletes will not have to face Israeli Jewish athletes (and the IOC is acquiescent in this, having Israel compete against European nations in regional preliminaries, etc.). Now, when that doesn’t appear to have worked, Iran has chosen to keep some athletes away from the Games, rather than have them compete against Israeli Jews . . . and suffer the shame of losing to those Israeli Jews. Conveniently, Iran’s one athlete who was certain to have to compete against Israel (snd would likely lose) suddenly has a “digestive infection” and conveniently missed the flight to London. Not that this is new. Iran–and other Muslim nations–have a history of doing this. They have such a lack of testicles that they cannot bear the thought that Jews might beat them (as they’ve beaten them in virtually every war, too, and in the war of ideas and inventions and patents, etc.). But, now, in a tiny pretense of doing the right thing–which he never ever actually does, Olympic chief Jacques Rogge said that countries that sit out events because of politics will be punished and penalized (though he hasn’t said what the penalty will be and there is a long, BS-endowed bureaucratic process to get there). So, Iran found a new way around it, with the “digestive infection” baloney.
Iranian Coward Javad Mahjoob Wimped Out of Losing to Israeli Olympian Ariel “Arik” Ze’evi
Despite an Iranian assertion on Monday that its athletes would compete against Israeli Olympians at the 2012 Games, the Iranian team departed for London hours earlier, leaving behind the lone athlete who had the possibility of facing an Israeli opponent.
On Sunday, Iranian authorities announced that that athlete, Javad Mahjoob, a judo champion, is suffering from a “critical digestive system infection,” forcing him to take antibiotics and cancel plans for the Games, which begin Friday.
Mahjoob’s absence has led to speculation that Iran is maintaining its long-standing policy of not allowing its athletes to compete with Israeli opponents.
Mahjoob himself has acknowledged going to great lengths to keep from squaring off against an Israeli. In a 2011 interview with the Iranian newspaper Shargh, Mahjoob admitted to throwing a match against a German opponent, saying that, “If I won I would have had to compete with an Israeli athlete. And if I refused to compete with the Israeli, they would have suspended our Judo federation for four years.”
Israel’s judoka in the 100-kilogram weight class, Ariel “Arik” Ze’evi, will be competing in his fourth Olympic Games. The 35-year-old won a bronze medal at the 2004 Games in Athens and is widely considered to hold one of Israel’s best chances of taking home a medal in London.
Ze’evi told the Associated Press last month that he did not understand athletes who bring politics into the sporting arena. “When you are doing judo, football, basketball, you have to show up on the field, do your best. It doesn’t matter who you fight,” Ze’evi said. “For me, I don’t have any problem to fight against a sportsman from any country, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria. .?.?. I really don’t understand it.”
Even though his last name means “of the wolf” or “wolf-like, ” Ze’evi’s a class act, so he won’t say it, but he understands it. Everyone understands it. They hate Jews. They resent Jews. They are jealous of the success and achievements of Jews. And they are afraid that they will be the latest to lose to the Jews. And, again, they just don’t have the cojones to deal with that eventuality.
Reader Roni:
I suppose it’s difficult to lose to a nation which in their eyes does not ideologically exist. Or they are afraid enough of risking a loss, that they will fake an infection (a known pattern with the Iranians). If that’s their stance on sports, why would you trust any statement by their ministers, on topics much more serious than sports?
Exactly.
That Was Then . . .
This Is Now . . .

The Iranians are cowards and should be wearing dresses. They have no problem bombing innocent civilians who are not in a position to defend themselves. However going one on one, man to man, they refuse.
