Olympic Female Beach Volleyballers to Cover Up to Appease Muslims – Long-Sleeved Shirts

By Debbie Schlussel

As I told you before, the International Olympic Committee–which still will not remember the murdered Munich Israeli athletes with a legitimate moment of silence and/or a memorial–announced a policy, earlier this year, dropping the requirement that women beach volleyball players wear a two-piece athletic bikini. The IOC specifically noted that dropping the bikini requirement was done to please, appease, and pander to Muslim countries, which would be offended by the display and wouldn’t allow its women to participate in the two-piece suits. Now, the IOC has announced that women will probably have to cover up and wear long sleeves over their bikinis, using the excuse that it’s “cold” in London. Don’t believe it. This move is, yet again, to appease Muslims.

Say Good-bye to This & Hello to Burqa-Ball . . .

islamiccrescent.jpg

It’s 86 degrees Fahrenheit in London, today. Tomorrow, it will be a high of 82 degrees Fahrenheit. The forecast for the next two weeks in London includes highs in the high 70s and low-to-mid 80s. Suddenly, that’s “too cold” for beach volleyball bikinis, and they need to wear long sleeves? Riiiight. And the beach volleyball venues are right near London, so it’s not like they are traveling somewhere far northward to the chilly tundra.

The Olympic beach volleyball players are the most scantily clad summer Olympians, and the IOC–in yet another sop to Islam and the Islamic terrorists that murdered the Israeli athletes–is laying the ground for the female beach volleyballers to cover up so as not to offend Muslims. The IOC had no takers when it announced the two-piece would no longer be mandatory and that women could cover up more. And because of that, it’s taken this new tack, claiming that long sleeves may be appropriate for the weather.

Uh-huh. The halal weather facing Mecca.

By the way, if they don hijabs, niqabs, or burqas, then they’ll be very warm during beach volleyball. And ain’t that the point here? It sure is.

When is the the world going to wake and realize the Muslims want to rule the whole world.

Rich K on July 24, 2012 at 4:56 pm

Fascists!

It’s all about muzzies taking YOUR freedoms from you… fight to the death!

As Goes... on July 24, 2012 at 4:59 pm

Yup.

Its not like Muslim males can control themselves around scantily-clad women.

Supposedly its because they have a special “modesty” requirement – uh huh – as if modesty weren’t important for religious Jews and Christians.

And they’re hypocrites – the sex harems, semi-official prostitution and glut of porn is rampant in the Muslim World.

So they don’t like women in bikinis? The IOC just proved (Alhamidullah – Praise Allah) that its more halal on summer sports than even the Muslims are!

And yet its “too political” for it to institute an official moment of silence on behalf of the slain Israeli athletes and coaches of the 1972 Munich Games.

I guess its fitting that in Londonistan, it will be remembered as the Sharia Olympics.

NormanF on July 24, 2012 at 4:59 pm

There goes the one Olympic event I was thinking about watching…

PDMac60 on July 24, 2012 at 5:04 pm

Tell the Olympic to go to hell. Ge the nuts to watch this http://tgates-of-hell.blogspot.com/2011/12/about-twenty-years-ago-i-was-first.html?spref=fb

If the Muslims don’t like it tell them to go home, they are nothing but killer and haters, the world would be a better place if they were not here. Their so call leader is nothing more than a killer and talks nothing but hate and the koran is nothing more that a hate book

dennis1946 on July 24, 2012 at 5:25 pm

Good grief. Bit by bit our way of life is being surrendered.

I will not watch the opening ceremonies because of the IOC’s decision to pander by not remembering the Israeli athletes and I hope all of you do the same.

Road Warrior on July 24, 2012 at 5:27 pm

I’m not watching either. Putting on my bikini and going water skiing! Even if it’s a bone chilling 72 degrees. Anyone who tries to stop me is likely to be run over by my Ski Nautique!

Prince Harry is going to be bitterly disappointed. He will be representing the Royal family at this event.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2177933/London-Olympics-2012-Prince-Harry-Prince-William-Kate-Middleton-30-different-events.html

With regard to the ‘underwhelming’ tribute to the Israeli Munich victims. Could there be an elemnt of low-keyism here because Mahmoud Abbas had a hand in the matter in 1972. Would show him up to be what he truly is and also show them up for what they truly are. Bigots and hypocrites.

Well, if one takes the fun out of fundamental, we’re left with mental and thats what is behind the debacle. Maybe it’s more to the point of ‘fund- a- mental’, have your pick.

Eyes Wide Open on July 24, 2012 at 6:04 pm

Um… Reading that it just sounds like the two piece is no longer mandatory, and that if the athletes want to, they can wear long sleeves. Doesn’t sound to me like they are forcing anyone to not wear the bikinis. In fact that is exactly how you have it worded, and you are jumping to conclusions that the IOC will FORCE the longer sleeves. I will bet you $100 right now, we see bikinis at the beach volleyball events, unless of course the temps really do drop.

Hamsterfist on July 24, 2012 at 6:17 pm

    Huh?

As far as I know, women wearing short sleeve t-shirts and shorts are still considered “uncovered meat” by Muslims.

They are barbarians – and what it says about the civilized world in giving up its freedoms – like women’s freedom to dress how they want – isn’t flattering.

But its not “modesty” they’re concerned about. And the IOC has shown us exactly what it thinks of women – and the Jews.

They’re expendable because Muslims insist the world do things their way. No one else counts.

I am not into Sharia Compliant sporting events.

Worry on July 24, 2012 at 7:09 pm

It is my understanding that teams from the West ie US, Canada, Australia etc are going to say a big eff you to the ioc and participate with bikinis anyway. We shall see won’t we?

Drakken on July 24, 2012 at 7:22 pm

I don’t see any events being moved from Friday night or Saturday afternoon to accommodate observant/Orthodox Jews.

I don’t see where married athletes are allowed to room together, but homosexual partners ARE allowed to room together. Where’s the muslim outrage over that?

I don’t see muslim athletes penalized when they refuse to compete against Israeli athletes. They simply forfeit. Where is the banishment for not adhering to call for sportsmanship, one of the tenets of the Olympics?

Sanford Horn on July 24, 2012 at 7:27 pm

The BBC should be forced to beam the bikini volleyball coverage to the middle-east in 3D

brickwood on July 24, 2012 at 7:39 pm

The muslim world is a world unto itself. If you don’t conform to them they sulk or worse. I say let them. Why not ban them from all athletic competition other than amongst themselves. They cause too many problems wherever they go. If they arn’t off murdering someone they are thinking about it. We don’t need that anymore. Their day is done, or at least I would like to think so. I have a grdau with a muslim freind. All this 12yr old wants is to be the same as the rest of her Canadian freinds and not be isolated from them or their activities. My concern is, what will happen to this youngster when she sees all her freinds enjoying innocent male/female interaction and she is banned from them during her teen years.

Mary Anne Britnell on July 24, 2012 at 8:13 pm

I read this in YAHOO. I don’t remember reading anything about unusally cold weather in England. Besides, wouldn’t it be cold for everyone else there if that was the case. They must think everyone is to stupid to see through this. If you are playing volleyball, you are active.

jerry doegen on July 24, 2012 at 8:22 pm

Debbie I didn’t care about beach volleyball until now. I’d like to see our skankiest athletes pound the ball down the throats of some sharia compliant women so they can see who’s boss. And quit posting that video of you in that black rubber dress unless you mean business. Nobody likes a tease.

A1: I don’t wear rubber. It’s leather. DS

A1 on July 24, 2012 at 8:31 pm

This just proves that a good number of muslims are xenophobic, women beach volleyball players in the olypmics traditionally wear bikini’s, you know why, because it is more comfortable, they’ll breath more easy and they’ll alot more mobile.

I would like to see any western country against any islamic country in beach volleyball olympics, my bet is that any western country would beat that islamic country in beach volleyball, because their women (muslim women) will be covered from head to toe with that burka, and they won’t move around easily. And it’s still summer and the weather at this time in Great Britian is still warm to hot, where nowhere near fall or winter.

“A nation is defined by its borders, language & culture!”

If they don’t like then don’t watch.

sean on July 25, 2012 at 12:36 am

Didn’t watch the Olympics since the last one in Beijing, and will skip this one as well. It was interesting during the Cold War, and then a few after that. But no longer.

Infidel on July 25, 2012 at 2:00 am

You could could not fill a life boat with world class Muslim athletes. The irony is that Muslim women predominate for the last 15 years. All three competitors. The males seem to have a problem with drug testing. Particularly the Iranians. That having been said, who cares? They will be out in the first round or defect like Cubans if smart. Unfortunately in London defection is a capital crime for women. Prince Charles himself might attend the torture and dismemberment.

pat on July 25, 2012 at 2:41 am

This is horrible. Why cant people see that the Muslims want to take over the world. they even clearly state they are mass producing to then take over. its crazy!! why change everything to please them. If we asked for changes we would be the nicest “get stuffed” response.. so sad.

Never cared for the Olympics. strange Russian and French judging …. special rules to facilitate some at the expsense of others. Olympic committees famous for sex scandals and big expense accounts.
Why are they providing free CONDOMS for the athletes? Why
not give each participant a Smith and Wesson .44, or a small puppy, a year’s supply of Krakus hams? Suicide vests, ready to timers ready to set?

Otto Schaden on July 25, 2012 at 8:14 am

I’m old enough to remember how an Olympic official barged his way onto the sidelines, then barged his way to the time-keepers station, and then ordered time be put back on the clock (more than once) in order that a basketball game be stolen from the U.S. in favor of Russia. The French time-keeper relented. It was the first game that the U.S. had ever lost (allegedly) in Olympic competition.

In an interview with Howard Cossell the time-keeper acknowledged that what had happened was that the game was literally stolen from the U.S.

The Olympics are about New World Order, kumbayah/We are the World politics and make me want to puke.

CornCoLeo on July 25, 2012 at 10:03 am

BTW, those were the ’72 Munich games.

Fletch on July 25, 2012 at 10:26 am

I think the Muslims should piss off if they don’t like it they need to keep their mouths shut and not watch or go to the events. Oh wait they want to make everyone’s life hell since they don’t know how to enjoy life themselves!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And everyone that has a mind of their own should sell everything that has to do with a pig at the events right outside the gate and inside……
Muslim people are very rude and do not care if anyone else is offended or affected as long as the Muslim people get what they want. Just look at the idiots in Iraq and everywhere the U.S. troops have been pulled out from. The Muslim people do not care for their own people. SO WHY THE HELL IS EVERYONE STILL DOING STUFF FOR THEM???? LET THEM ROT AND DIE IN THEIR OWN MESS…..

Nicholas on July 25, 2012 at 10:55 am

Why the Islamic focus on beach volleyball? The female runners/sprinters are certainly scantily clad. Is the IOC going to force them to cover up as well? The swimmers?

adam on July 25, 2012 at 12:11 pm

I have a better question. What are these Muslim athletes doing about Ramadan which doesn’t end until July 18? Surely they don’t compete on an empty stomach without water. And also isn’t it lovely that not only are the opening ceremonies on Shabbat but that the events run over Tish B’Av which is Sunday.

Having said that, the Olympics are totally pagan, glorify the Greek ideal that the Maccabis fought against and IMHO have no place in Jewish life. Back in the days of the Maccabis, Jewish men were reversing their brits so they could look like the Greeks and compete. Absolutely disgusting and don’t get me started on the so called Chassidic guy who ran with the torch. Doesn’t matter his motives. The best way to honor the slain Israelis is to stop participating forever and all time.

Italkit on July 25, 2012 at 12:43 pm

This is just another way for the IOC to capitualte to the easily offended Muslim ingrates. These are the same people who have to have seperate rooms for the men and women to pray. Can’t have them getting distracted from seeing their ladies bent over towards Mecca now can they. I would like to see a female team from one of those “awesome” Muslim countries such as Saudi Arabia get their rear ends spiked by team USA. That would be worth the price for this idiocy.

Ken b on July 25, 2012 at 1:12 pm

As far as bikinis go, I’d much rather go to the beach and watch chicks, hundreds of them, over the course of several hours than see the same four women playing a boring game for a couple hours. Real indoor volleyball on a court is real sport. I consider beach volleyball about as much of a sport as other things at the beach: frisbee, body surfing, sand castle building, etc.

CornCoLeo on July 25, 2012 at 1:47 pm

    Same here.

Bronson on July 26, 2012 at 6:18 am

Hey, if the Muslim World had its way, they wouldn’t cover up female athletes.

They’d ban them from competing at all. Now that’s a halal Olympics to them. Female and Jew-free. Odds are high they will get that in the next generation.

This is just the warm-up act.

NormanF on July 25, 2012 at 3:20 pm

Hi,

So quick question because I’m not entirely sure about a couple of points. But the IOC said that it was changing the rules specifically “to reflect cultural conventions of various participating countries” according to the article you provided.

The cold weather comment is coming from the Aussie players, who want to keep their muscles warm. I’m not sure if you are an athlete, but that’s a very valid concern. And while daytime high of 75 might not be cold, the night time low is 46 is quite chilly.

They way this is written seems slightly disingenuous, I’m curious if you could elaborate on the above. Cheers!

Logical Guy on July 25, 2012 at 5:06 pm

Log, do you know that the temperatures are in London? Also, what does your unreferenced quote about Aussies have to do with an IOC ruling on attire?

No Log, the public is gradually becoming more aware of what Islam tends to do when it possibly can. Aside from some fellow traveling trolls, no one is persuaded by your remarks.

I hurl my shoes at your Taqqiya/kitman. It is lousy.

Worry on July 26, 2012 at 7:31 am

Are you kidding me?

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

For whatever reason, the IOC used to require that female beach volleyball athletes wear bikinis. Anybody who can’t see what a misogynistic and anti-woman rule that is shouldn’t even be allowed to discuss this issue. The rule was changed to allow more athletes to compete in the sport, not to make poor horny American men have to find a different way to see bikini-clad women (boo-hoo, so hard.) As any beach volleyball athlete who does not have a specified uniform will tell you, they may start an early morning of play with a long sleeve, take that off later to play in a tank top or t-shirt, and as the day gets warmer, they may strip down to a sports bra. Likewise, later matches may require a long sleeved shirt. The IOC and these athletes are saying that they may wear long sleeves if the weather requires it, not that they are pandering to Muslims.

Also, if you are the type of person that only watches beach volleyball for the skimpy attire, this serious athlete would like to send a big screw you your way, as you are exactly the type of person who undermines the value of women’s athletics.

Marie on July 25, 2012 at 6:51 pm

Thank you for the rant Mustafa.

Worry on July 26, 2012 at 7:21 am

When is the Western world going to grow some balls, and tell the Muslims to go FU*K themselves!!!!!!

Ralph A. Lapaugh on July 26, 2012 at 7:09 am

In a fit of typical and increasingly common hubris, Islamic countries participating in the olympics have pressured the IOC into adjusting the criteria for women’s volleyball to allow shorts to the knee and sleeves. The catalyst for this remarkably bad idea (Gabrielle Reece would look like Darth Vader in a Burka, but she could still spike that baby!!) is less important than the execution of this remarkably bad idea.

The same Occidental IOC Castrato that bent to the perverted will of Islamic countires seeking to once again assert their unwelcome cultural aberations into Olympic Games which were founded in Greece, the cradle of Democracy, are the same folks, unwilling to acknowledge and honor the atheltes killed in the 72 Munich Olympics. Go figure.

A Greek, Phillipides ran the first marathon (In what at that time was a world record.). The Athenian Army had scored a victory against a vastly superior force. Phillipides delivered the news, “Victory” and died. The Athenian enemy on Greek soil? Persia, now Iran.

Islamic culture, is now, has been and will be for the foreseeable future, mutually exclusive with relation to established Western ethos. The arrogant and insufferable condescension from these terrorist countries whose international criminal intent is only surpassed by by the obsequisness and myopia of the IOC.

An agony of humiliation and predation lights the way for the women of Isalm all over the planet. Honor killings, genital mutilation, whippings, stonings and extemporaneuous firing squads are part and parcel of a culture that is more and more visible on the internet and international stage less and less acceptable to civilized human beings with the exception of liberal multicultural proponents who run the IOC and the recently enslaved countries of Europe.

This change in Olympic Volleyball de riguer is not a small concession to a reasonable but interesting culture that adds spice to the world’s melting pot. It is indeed that necrotic lump you see on your testicles that you ignore until it is too late.

No bikinis today, no balls tomorrow.

chuck on July 26, 2012 at 3:21 pm

I guess it depends which way you look at it. In general, middle eastern people are more conservative. I believe that Orthodox Jews also need to cover up – it’s not just Muslims. So changing the rules to accommodate religious customs could be viewed as a good thing. Ex: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/06/21/orthodox-basketball-playe_n_881801.html

Filip on July 27, 2012 at 3:36 am

well its really a shame that committee is not providing a memorial for Israeli athletes, who were massacred in Munich.
I not a Muslim, but still I say, allowing the women to wear other than bikini during beach volleyball match,is not a good decision, then it is not the bad one either.
Atleast, by doing this they are opening the path for lots of Muslim women to come out and enjoy the little freedom, like other women.
As muslim treated their women even inferior than animals, this would help muslim women to realize their status, and also I have heard muslim athletes removing their veils, during London 2012. So it is a positive sign.
its is for sure that in future we will see muslim women competing in bikinis.

Assuming that it is because of the muslims, please realize they are not the only race or religion on this earth why do you yield to their demands. There are a thousand other nations and nationalities not complaining about this. We as a country are making a big mistake. I dont care what muslims want I dont think anyone else should either. You want to stay covered up, take your stupid self back to your deserts and hide in your little holes in the earth. You will not dictate to me or my country and the olympic committee should be ashamed of themselves for giving into tyranny. They want us all to think like them, but I dont think of deceit, lies, killing, bombing, etc etc etc.

Lynn on July 29, 2012 at 10:27 pm

Did the Muslims create the Olympics? So,I ask why are we catering to them, yet no one else, did they buy the Olympics? If they want to participate, that is one thing,it’s a choice, take it as it is,or hit the road!!!! Damn sick and tired of all this political correctness BS! Stop the madness, play the sport,it’s not church!!!

D.Gar on July 30, 2012 at 2:38 am

Dress codes by ‘various nations’ are simply oppression of personal freedoms which are being campaigned against by the major industrialized nations on behalf of the women. So, women of ‘various nations’ you can have some freedoms but not all.
Selective freedoms for selective women in selective nations aint the way it should work.

Samuel Martin on August 2, 2012 at 4:13 pm

The change was made so all cultures can wear what they want and believe in. Its not like they are banning bikinis ot anything. Muslims are people as well as the rest of us, and if they believe in covering up then let them. I mean why does it bother you? Because you wanna see a bunch of half naked girls? Well they can still wear it if they want. There is no reason to blame this on a group of people because of their beliefs. Muslims believe in covering up because its vulger to be nude…yet they can choose if they want to cover up its not technically required unless they are praying. So, if they want to be covered up in heat its them who will burn up NOT YOU. So get over it.
