Dad: “Obama Denied My Dead Soldier Son a Medal b/c US Muslim Killed Him”; Muslim’s Dad Agrees
As longtime readers know, I’ve been following the case of Carlos Bledsoe a/k/a Abdul Hakim Mujahid Mohammed, a Muslim who murdered U.S. soldiers on U.S. soil while they were performing recruiting duties at a military recruitment center in Little Rock, Arkansas. As I told you, Melvin Bledsoe, father of Mohammed, has repeatedly noted that Islam made his son do these killings. Now, Melvin Bledsoe and Daris Long, father of Pvt. Andy Long–who was murdered in Mohammed’s jihadist attack, are bravely calling out President Obama and his administration for fighting the award of a Purple Heart to Private Long. In today’s USA Today, they say the Obama administration is doing this because it does not want to admit that Muslims on U.S. soil target and murder Americans and have since 9/11. They also provide other information that was not broadcast in press reports about Mohammed’s terrorist attack on the Little Rock recruitment center: that prior to seeking–and succeeding–to kill a U.S. soldier, Mohammed had already firebombed one area rabbi’s house and shot up another rabbi’s home. Maybe the press didn’t tell us about this because they don’t want us to know the truth: that Muslims on U.S. soil are no less violent, anti-Semitic, and anti-American than Muslims in the heart of Riyadh or Bint Jbeil. They are part of the documentary, “Losing Our Sons,” produced by Charles Jacobs.

Unfortunately, Charles has enlisted a number of con artists and liars to his cause, none of whose praise means anything good for the documentary. That includes con woman Hanan Qahwaji Tudor a/k/a “Rachel Cohen” a/k/a “Nour Saman” a/k/a “Brigitte Gabriel”–whose entire “life story” is fiction and whose past career mostly involved trying to convert Jews, while working for Pat Robertson in Israel. This tarnishes the documentary, as does the endorsement of Jeff Jacoby, who lectured us that Gitmo Islamic terrorists have a special need for modesty supreme to all other religions and and to the safety of all law-abiding American citizens. It’s also troubling that two other endorsers, Daniel Pipes and Frank Gaffney, do a phony kabuki dance, refusing to ever admit any problem with Islam, just some mythical thing called “Islamism” (so does Tudor a/k/a the multiple con artist names she’s used). It’s completely dishonest. Both have repeatedly pimped America on extremist Mohammed Zuhdi Jasser, who is tight with the Minneapolis-area imam that sent Somali boys to become homicide bombers in Somalia, and has repeatedly made excuses for the imam (who was on the no-fly list.) The movie’s latest “endorser,” Mike Hucksterbee, recently attacked Jews on his FOX News show along with John Ramsey (who may have helped kill his daughter, JonBenet Ramsey and allowed his toddler daughter out at sickening beauty contests). The only one missing from this list of charlatans and snake oil salesman is stalker and fake terrorist Walid Shoebat. Charles, you know better than to engage these frauds in your efforts. It makes me doubt the efforts and whether you know what you are doing. In any event, the message of the two dads is good, even if the messages of those they’ve chosen to ally with are utter crap and, frankly, diametrically opposed. But here’s a tip for everyone involved: Carlos Bledsoe didn’t convert to Islamism or go to an Islamist mosque. It’s Islam, stupid. He converted to Islam, and his mosque was an Islamic mosque. Period.
This spring, the Obama administration threatened to veto the 2013 Defense Authorization Act. Of all the reasons given for the threat, the objection to granting the Purple Heart to Pvt. Andy Long stands out as strange. That is, unless you know the story.
On June 1, 2009, Pvt. Long was killed outside an Army recruiting office in Little Rock by Carlos Bledsoe, who had become Abdul Hakim Mohammed after converting to Islam. Since then, we, the fathers of Carlos and Andy, have been trying to tell our story so that other parents do not experience our tragedy.
Carlos grew up in a loving, church-going family. There’s a picture of Carlos at his high school graduation with a huge smile on his face, ready to go off to Tennessee State University for college. He looked forward to becoming a businessman and joining the family owned tour company in Memphis.
But he did not get the education everyone expected. Instead, he became interested in Islamic extremism. At TSU, preachers from a radical Nashville mosque led courses in Islam. Eventually, Carlos began frequenting this mosque, converted, and took the name of the mosque’s imam. This imam taught worshipers that America “is the worst country on earth,” that the Christian faith is “the greatest lie ever told,” that this worldly life “is trash,” and that Muslims must seek death and the afterlife.
Carlos began to change his behavior: He abandoned his dog in the woods because he was told Muslims shouldn’t have dogs. He took Martin Luther King’s picture off his bedroom wall. He was sent by another Nashville imam to a school in Yemen, which turned out to be an al-Qaeda front. Carlos then returned to America and planned his own jihad.
Andy grew up in a military family and decided to follow in his parents’ footsteps. He found out he was good at it; he enjoyed it. Before being deployed to South Korea, he volunteered to work as a recruiter in Little Rock near our home. His mother, Janet, went to visit him there on June 1, 2009.
That was the day Carlos decided to kill a soldier. He had already firebombed a rabbi’s house in Nashville and shot up another rabbi’s house in Little Rock. That morning, he fired three bullets at Andy. Quinton Ezeagwula, another soldier, was also shot but survived. . . .
Congress passed a provision, as part of the defense bill, to give the Purple Heart to Andy and the victims of a similar 2009 attack at Fort Hood, Texas. Now the administration is threatening to deny it.
The president, we believe, doesn’t want to admit the first successful al-Qaeda murder on U.S. soil since 9/11 happened on his watch or to acknowledge the problem of homegrown Islamic radicalization. This indirectly provides cover to extremists at the expense of moderate Muslims. To withhold the Purple Heart from U.S. soldiers for political reasons is to dishonor those who risk everything to protect us all.
We have pledged to our families and to ourselves that we will not be silent until America knows what happened to our sons. On June 1, 2009, it happened to Andy and Carlos. Tomorrow, it could be your children.
Right on. Fantastic. These men make me proud to be an American. They get it. It’s so sad that they had to endure this tragedy to get there.
If only the rest of America would get it without such tragic consequences. But America is yet again asleep, as very quickly after 9/11 the slumber quickly returned with a thick layer of political correctness as the bedding, the sheets, and the mattress.
They lost their sons. How many Americans must lose their sons and daughters before we wake up? A lot more, sadly.
But again, enlisting the con artist dregs of the earth to promote the movie doesn’t help their cause one bit. They need to be more careful about with whom they associate.

Those endorsers…. well its bad judgment on their part but it doesn’t take away anything from their powerful message.
Islam is the problem even if our Prez and America refuse to acknowledge it. And its not going to go away any time soon.
With your caveat in mind, people should still see this documentary. They should re-learn that American Muslims are just as violent, anti-Semitic and extreme as those abroad.
And one Pvt. Andy Long was the victim of Islam. Period. Let’s never forget – or forgive!
