Gay Judge in Miss USA Contest Calls Miss California “Dumb Bitch” Over Gay Marriage Answer

By Debbie Schlussel
**** SCROLL DOWN FOR UPDATE ****
You may or may not be familiar with “Perez Hilton” (real name: Mario Armando Lavandeira, Jr.), the gay, Cuban-American blogger who makes hundreds of thousands by scribbling comments over celebrity pics (and gushing over the Obama family).
He was a judge in Donald Trump’s “Miss USA” bimbo-fest, last night and is upset over Miss California’s answer to his gay marriage question. I’ll admit, she was clueless. (“Opposite Marriage”?) First she lauded her claim that in America people have the right to choose whether they want to have a gay marriage, which is really only true in a few states. Then, she claimed she only supports straight marriage in her family. It was a dumb answer. But Perez Hilton clearly was upset that she didn’t abide by his pro-marriage orthodoxy. Yup, you’ll never win this stupid bimbo-fest if you give a conservative answer to anything. But, then, a conservative wouldn’t be in this stupid “contest.”
First, watch the video of the bimbo eruption, er . . . answer of Miss California on the “Miss USA” contest. Then, watch the video of Perez Hilton’s response.

**** UPDATE: Reader Steve passes along an e-mail message he sent to Perez Hilton, after watching the above vidoes, an excerpt of which follows.

To: perez@perezhilton.com
I heard no boos at all when Miss California gave a truthful and honest answer to your question, obviously meant to put her on the spot and make your political point. . . . Beauty pageants are no place for homosexual flaunting.

I’ve never been a fan of these pageants and if not for your post, I wouldn’t have even known about it.
While the girl struggled with her answer, the real issue is what the purpose of the question and the attitude of the questioner reveals about the state of intellectual life and free speech in America.
Clearly, Perez Hilton wouldn’t have been happy if she gave an extremely well reasoned and articulated answer that didn’t match his political views. He is using his role as a judge to screen out anyone who commits the “thought crime” of not holding the appropriate views. He then justifies this McCarthyism by saying that she is alienating people and not a unifying person, as if that is the purpose of all political thought. Sorry, but his incident is, in its own way, symbolic of the Obama age.

Amen. I am tired of holding my thoughts in fear of offending some limp-wristed pole smoker. But the object I find most perplexing, is the targeted demographic. More precisely; who actually watches this shit?

i do not get the appeal of these pagents, and if they are annoyed at her over this answer they are just as dumb as she is.

mindy1 on April 20, 2009 at 4:00 pm

Sure, Miss Cali is a bimbo who couldn’t articulate an answer. That doesn’t take away from the fact that this poofter needs an old fashioned beat down

Debbie, thanks for providing his email address. I decided to send him this:
Perhaps it would have been clearer had you worded the question thus, ìMiss California, do you agree with my politics regarding gay marriage, or are you an ignorant bigoted bitchî? She may have then responded in the ìcorrectî manner.

My Question for Perez Hilton would have been. “Perez, when people of the opposite sex have intercourse they create a beautiful baby. When Homosexuals have sex what what do they create?”
Uhhh, a turd.

californiascreaming on April 20, 2009 at 7:08 pm

So then I am assuming you only have sex when you want to get pregnant, correct? Because that is what many churches believe! Sex for pleasure is wrong and is not allowed under certain religious teachings. Enjoy your faith!

I am pleased to see the crowd reacted positively to her statement that she felt marriage should be between a man and a woman.
I think she did OK.
On another note (I hope I’m not changing the subject too much) there is some thing really absurd about asking questions related to homosexuality at a meat-market… ooops… I mean beauty pageant that has been marketed toward heterosexual men for over 50 years.
But hey! Nobody listens to little old me.

Glad to hear that in the state where all this gay marriage crap started–SCUM FREAKCISCO ANYONE?–that there was a “rep” who despite all the idiocy of the false left-right paradigm spoke her mind with little repurcussions.
Perez Hilton on the other hand…well even “he” would make the “so-called Reverend Fred Phelps” blow SEVERAL gaskets!

I would send a message to the President of Miss USA:

Let her know that Perez Hilton is not to be invited the next time.

Perez Hilton is just a deviant fanny bandit. Why are these homosexuals even allowed to ask questions based on whether or not normal girls agree with his deviant lifestyle? What will the pagent do next, hire a pimp to ask her if she agrees that a “playa should be allowed to play.” I always knew Perez Hilton was a loser, and this just confirms it.

Devil Dog on April 21, 2009 at 9:28 am

I don’t know why you had such a knee-jerk reaction to Miss California. Here’s the way I understood her answer. First she didn’t say everyone has a right to straight or gay marriage. What she said was that we have a right to vote for all straight marriages or both types as was recently done in Vermont and Iowa or what was recently done in California. I repeat, she did not mean that we could choose anywhere any kind of marriage. You took her nervousness too literal.
Then she said that she was raised in this country and in her family to only believe in one man one woman marriage. Also going back to her “opposite” comment. Again because she was nervous over the inappropriate question, she basically said gay or Opposite (meaning different genders). It was nervousness.
I assume you were never nervous when you started going on TV. Some people get that way when an unexpected question comes up.
I know I am going on about this beautiful woman, however, I saw some off the cuff stuff she did during the pageant and she seems very smart rather then just another vapid blind.

No doubt this poofta would be have been much happier judging a men’s hairy butt competition instead.
Having to look at attractive women all night clearly spooked him.

Tempus Fugit on April 21, 2009 at 2:10 pm

OK so she is a typical legally blonde type–dumb and smart-dumb at the same time–like Yogi Berra. She’s in a beauty pageant–seems typical of what I have seen in the past–I haven’t watched one of these in decades.
Question: Why would they have a homosexual activist on the judges panel for this?

BB on April 21, 2009 at 5:51 pm

Okay, let me see. A Miss USA Pageant contestant sparks a firestorm of controversy for saying that…gasp….she believes the marriage should be between a man and a woman. HOW EEEEEE-VILLLL. Now she’s being smeared as some sort of gay-hating bigot, which is the most absolutely ridiculous thing I’ve seen in the news today. I may be a “liberal”, but my religious beliefs also state that marriage is between a man and a woman. Hell, even if I weren’t “religious”, I probably would believe that…it seems like the natural and historical norm to me!
And this Perez Hilton character…for him to use the “b” word and the “c” word to describe the contestant in his online rants is completely beyond the pale of human decency. How is he advancing tolerance and gay rights by referring to this woman in derogatory terms? As BB stated above, I too am wondering how this guy was selected to be a judge. What a class(less) fool.
Contrary to popular belief, I think the cause of same-sex marriage and the Miss USA Pageant are going to take a big PR hit on this one.

JibberJabber on April 21, 2009 at 6:51 pm

For a party that demands tolerance from others, the left is sure intolerant of others. And, P.Hilton has shown his true colors, he comes across as a woman hater and he should be called on it. The language he used is a hard slap to all women.
So, let’s say it straight: he wants the world to accept his sexuality, but resorts to using demeaning names when describing a woman. Aren’t any of the womens’ groups upset about this? Donald Trump, are you listening to any of these complaints? Tell me, why should any woman watch any show that condones putting a woman down the way P.Hilton is given a free pass to do so?
This is just another branch of the entertainment industry that feels such a strong need to bring their politics into every aspect of entertainment. Guess what? People don’t watch beauty pagents to be dictated to politically. And people, such as myself, have already stopped going to live concerts because of the politics preached from the stage. The entertainment industry has forgotten that we go to these venues to escape from real life for awhile. If we wanted to attend a political rally, we would have bought tickets for one.

You know those ovens that they used for the Jews in Europe, I like to rent one for a day toss Pervert Hilton in one of them – nuf said!

Pesach on April 21, 2009 at 9:50 pm

Now that you mention it I do think we should get some of the women’s rights groups after this guy. Think I’ll go on their sites next and see what I can stir up. This bum (Perez) deserves to go down for this one. I also think we should all email the Miss USA people and voice our “concern” about his being a judge or panel member. I don’t think they’ll have him back anyway, but never hurts to let them know how we feel!

danzr1 on April 22, 2009 at 3:00 am

Why is this skin smoker a judge in a womens beauty pageant anyway! Calls her a dumb bitch because she like most people believe in traditional marriage. As it now sadly seems to be the norm “Believe in what I believe or I will discriminate against you”. You apparently can no longer speak your own mind because it may offend some special interest a–hole. So it is very likely she with her traditional moral beliefs cost her the Miss America crown because some unimportant deviant disagrees with her morals. I truly hope that this thing will never agaib be allowed to be a judge in a beauty pageant. It must have been tough for him to have to look at all those beautiful girls afterall, they dont possess what he really wants anyway. If anyone is offended by my statement then I must say TOUGH SHIT, I’M A AMERICAN MALE WITH TRADITIONAL MORALS AND BELIEFS AND WILL NEVER ACCEPT ANYTHING LESS.

Max on August 19, 2009 at 3:57 pm

I support her fully! Too bad Perez, you didnt hear what you wanted to hear. Well, the truth is always bitter. And the truth IS..Marriage and intimate relations IS between a Man and a Woman..Selah! God help your soul.
