Photo of the Day: The Tolerance of Arab Muslim Lebanon

By Debbie Schlussel

Check out this photo of a dead foreign worker maid on the streets of Lebanon, who clearly fell off a balcony to her death. The photo was posted on the site of Lebanon’s MTV (not to be confused with the sleazy MTV based in America–it’s an independent Lebanese news channel). Think she committed suicide or was pushed? I vote the latter. This isn’t the first time I’ve written about Lebanese Arabs or Arabs in general–Muslims are the ones who do this–torturing and/or murdering their foreign worker maids. You think this was a crime perpetrated by a Christian? Not likely. Muslims are typically the ones who employ these foreign workers as maids and treat them as slaves, torture targets, and sex dolls. And Lebanon is now majority Muslim. They are running the show there. End of story. If this photo had been taken in Israel, it would be international headline news about how bad Israel and the Jews are. But since it’s in Arab Lebanon, the only sound: crickets chirping.

Yep. And DS has the balls to put it out there and tell us the straight dope. Thank goodness.

And there will still be the dumb, PC crowd (including so-called Conservatives) will will not want to see. These people know less about the topic than DS does…by a huge ratio, too. A further example of arrogant ignorance!

I see it loud and clear.

I read what you have to say! I don’t always understand the points you make(my fault, not yours!). Anyway, I believe you are angry or outraged at the lack of concern, for a women who is dying or already dead! Who or what is PC crowd? maybe from there, I can figure out how so-called conservatives fit in! I don’t mine being ignorant in your eyes,so long as you point out plainly, my ignorance in terms I can understand! I also take it that you consider Debbie Schlussel removed from objectivity? Debbie has strong opinions, due to violence she witnesses! Well, with that out of the way! The picture of an Egyptian Queen Vashti, or her successor Queen Esther, or is there some other ruler this picture logo by your name stands for? Is your nature the same proud, I know who I am, as the pictures? Sometimes that picture stays with me in thought, almost as much as Queen Esthers loyalty to the Jews Does!

I sorta knew that Lebanon had an MTV network, I’ve come to notice that Lebanese folks are predominatley liberal, but their liberal is not communists, socialists like leftists here in this country and in parts of Europe, their liberal in Lebanon and parts of the middle east is mainley libertarian with a little conservative.

Now to the main topic here, that’s a sad scene where that poor woman is lying dead on the sidewalk and it sorta looked like the woman was shoved from a high-story building. And you’re also correct DS about muslims in their societies hiring maids to clean their place and cook for them, but despite that, they treat their maids like crap, as you explained, they treat them like sex objects, slaves, etc. rather than real human beings!

i am a conservative and have always known that those who follow the pediphile prophet are savages of the lowest order.these sub-humans have attacked americans since our founding which leads me to believe that any one who says that they are just like us must be a moron or a liar.

I was wondering how long it would take to hear bad news from Lebanon? I heard a statistic awhile ago that said approximately 95% of crime and wars you hear around the world is related to Islam. Wow! I only began to realize that a couple of years ago. There is only one Islam. Thanks, Debbie.

Reminds me of the story Debbie posted some months back about a Nepali woman who got killed there after going there to work. Which infidel in his or her right mind will go to work in a Muslim country?

Infidel on June 13, 2012 at 3:47 pm

Know thy enemy. All the reality conscious among us know the nature of Islam. Daily, the actions of the Muslim faithful manifest,in one way or another, depravity deeper than a bottomless pit.
Imagine if Las Vegas offered odds on whether this death proved to be accidental or the result of Muslim murder. The odds on “accidental” would be long enough to turn a modest little wager into a vast fortune were accident to be shown the cause. It’d be the rarest of anomalies; the exception proving the rule.
Again, applause for D.S., a lonely voice in the media, attempting to put into focus for all within earshot the nature of civilizations most baleful enemy. Too few offer us such upfront courage.

The things that stand out to me in that photo are her personal items laying next to her and the lack of people.

Why is her purse and cellphone next to her,
If she jumped on her own,did she think,”I better get my cellphone and purse first?”

Sad thing is, there’s more and more Muslims coming to this country. I think there was a whole shipment of them in my city. They make demands that everyone bends over backwards to accomodate. I’m sorry but I’m always looking for all of the exits when I see them around. They get thousands of dollars given to them by the govt. to establish themselves in this country. They have all of these motels and hotels. They play out their danged responsibilities to their loans (whatever it’s called) and then pass the places off to their relatives. After that, the place is a sleazy dump habitated by lowlifes. If you’re a hapless traveler that ends up visiting one of these places, you scared for your life to get back on the highway.

horrible

kirche on June 13, 2012 at 5:20 pm

@ebayer – is that her purse? My guess is that it’s a garbage bag full of her belongings. She gets shoved over and her stuff gets sent down behind her (or before her).

May The Lord of all Creation rest that poor woman’s soul. Whatever the details may be of her death, G’d’s Final Judgement has been made. It is my belief that those who have perpetuated the violence against the “infidels” are already doomed with the false god of the muslims and will be destroyed… allah awaits in the Lake of Fire.

Wow, can any post be more pathetically bigoted and racist than this one? Oh that’s right, forgot who we were talking about for a minute.

Debbie the dumbest on June 14, 2012 at 4:20 pm

Sad story. I will be the first to admit that maids in the middle east are sometimes mistreated, but how can you be so sure that, assuming that this is a murder it was done by a Muslim. 1/3rd of Lebanon is Christian (including myself), and many Christians have maids. I have many Muslim friends who live in the middle east and have maids, and treat them great. Anyway my point is stop assuming that all the bad things come from Muslims. I know a ton of Christians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus and Athiests, and I’ve learned that for the most part all people are the same. Again It’s a sad story and I hope that if it was a murder, her killer is caught.

Gabe on June 14, 2012 at 6:33 pm

YOU BITCH YOU THINK MUSLIMS ARE TO BLAME FOR EVERYTHING!

Maria on June 16, 2012 at 5:33 pm

Some here have said that maids in the Middle East are sometimes mistreated. Unfortunately, that characterization is too mild. I have spoken with a number of TCNs (Third Country Nationals) in places like Kuwait and Saudi Arabia (KSA). In Kuwait, by and large, TCNs, especially the women, still get to keep their passports when they come into country to work (remember… Kuwaitis and Saudis don’t work… they MANAGE; thus they import labor, as they do about everything else). However, in KSA, the TCNs typically have their passports seized when they accept employment and arrive in country, making it high nigh impossible to leave. Why TCNs continue to accept employment in such circumstances is hard to figure, but 20% of KSA are TCNs (they do all the real work). One reason might be their lack of job opportunities at home: I spoke to one guy from the Philippines who is a trained engineer. He made better money waiting on tables for U.S. personnel in KSA than he did in the Philippines, even as an engineer. The key point: once people accept the notion of being nothing more than slaves, the easier it is to be mistreated in so many ways. In fairness it should be pointed out that in China they are having trouble with “domestics” hanging out windows at dizzying heights to clean the outsides of windows. Consequently, many of them fall. But it should be pointed out the tremendous pressure placed on them to do this or lose the job they desperately need.

Russ on June 16, 2012 at 9:01 pm

Two points of reflection on my post: first, the problem is more in Indonesia than China (re Maids falling). Second, some of these have been investigated as possible murders to cover up sexual abuse of the maids by their Muslim employers. It would not shock me if this is the same situation now in Lebanon.

Russ on June 16, 2012 at 9:11 pm

First: maids in Lebanon are known to commit suicide due to the lack of rights they have here. If they wanted to kill her they would have done so in a way that wouldn’t be so public. What I see here is someone who was trying to escape by putting her belongings in a garbage bag and falling from the balcony because she slipped. It is possible that someone saw her and a fight ensued, thus leading to her fall.

Second: This does not happen exclusively to Muslim households. It also happens in Christian ones as well. It is a deformity that we have in our society that we are now fighting through protests, NGOs and social media.

Third: MTV is not independent. There are no independent TV stations in Lebanon.

Fourth: These are two documentaries by human rights filmmaker Carol Mansour that cover the journey of the maid’s life in Lebanon. (I dont know how to link so please copy paste the URLs)

Damn you think Christians are some angels. Well not every religion has good people, crimes like this happen all the time, even with Christians and Jews and Hindus and any other religion you can name, yet you only focus on Muslims. What is your problem with Islam?
