Tasteless (But Funny) VIDEO of the Day

By Debbie Schlussel
This can’t be a mistake. It’s a very sad story, but then some smart aleck did something really inappropriate (but funny). I give this anchorwoman a lot of credit for keeping her demeanor and not cracking up. I feel sorry for the family of this girl, Molly Bish, and hope they find out for certain who murdered her. This smart aleck who posted the graphic should get fired. (Thanks to my friend, the great, hilarious comedian Mitch Fatel–of Tonight Show fame–for the tip):

The remains of Molly Bish were found 5 miles from her home three years after she was murdered. My goddaughter lived near Warren MA. at the time and was the same age as this young lifeguard so I followed this case with a bit of paranoia.
I hope as you do that the clown who put that graphic up is fired and this family can finally get some peace.

Deb,
Molly Bish was a sweet young girl who was a lifeguard at a local pond when she was snatched & murdered. They searched for months/years but never found her until a hunter stumbled upon some cloths & reported to officials…further searching the immediate area her remains were finally found.
Stunningly, police sketchs from back then are a perfect match for the guy they have under arrest now.Neighbors & landlord plus people who knew this guy report he was really weird & had a dark, disturbing demeanor about him.He moved shortly after she was reported missing & went to Florida.

Could be that this image was just a place holder for the station until they received the mug shot–they probably had not received the image by airtime and someone forgot to remove the hamster. It’s common on the print side of things; designers often use an image that’s very incongruous with the copy to make it obvious that it should be replaced later. This could simply be a very unfortunate mistake. I hope it was anyway.

It could have been worse. I was half expecting to see a picture of George Bush.

Thank Allah and his virgins it wasn’t a story about Hussein-the-Messiah and they accidentally put up a picture of a monkey that looks like him, we would’ve had riots in the streets around the world and the Messiah would’ve closed the TV station and unleashed his “brothers” to kill White people.

Tasteless and definitely not funny. If you personally were wondering where your loved one was and some snot ass slacker hipster thought this was cool, he would have to have someone at the studio sweep him off the floor after I got through with him. One thing that is never funny or cool is laughing at someone who lost a loved or is has a loved one missing. The country got desensitized over murder during the O.J. trial. Race was more important than the victims.
