Let’s Hear It For Obama-“Liberated” Libya: People Disappear as Muslim “Democrats” Get Vengeance

By Debbie Schlussel

Just remember that billions of dollars in U.S. bombs, pilot time, plane resources, and gasoline were spent bombing Qaddafi, so these animals could come to power.  And that’s not to mention the hundreds of CIA agents who went to Libya to “advise” these scumbags.  Now, let’s hear it for Obama-induced Libyan Arab Spring . . . and many Libyans just vanishing (no doubt, after they were tortured and cut into pieces).  We were MUCH better off with Qaddafi ruling the roost and maintaining stability among the barbarians, as I’ve been saying for well over a year (and before that).  This is from Mustafa Fetouri, an independent Libyan journalist without ties to Al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood, which are now running the place.

Sean Hannity, Mohammed Jasser Both Urged Obama to Back Libyan Rebels, Attacked Him for Not Doing So

Thanks, Barack!  (And Newt Gingrich, Sean Hannity, and faux-“moderate” Muslim Mohammed Zuhdi Jasser, all of whom urged us to go in there and depose Qaddafi, too!  Vannity and Newt both criticized Obama for not going in and supporting these Islamo-cretinous “rebels” before he decided to.  Being the typical know-nothing, fake, and liar that he is, Sean Vannity now claims he was against going in–a bald-faced LIE. See the video, below.)

Rebel militias particularly in Misurata, Sirte and Tripoli are being accused of a series of basic rights violations, murder and armed robbery. The government has yet to make a single arrest in those cases, let alone begin the process of trying them.

At least 10 of my friends have long since disappeared. I know that at least three of them were killed in cold blood, while another two are in jail. I know nothing about the other five. Their families, desperate for news, every now and then check whether I have heard anything.

They have tried every possible means available to find out what has happened to their loved ones, but in vain. Of the 10, eight were university professors whose only crime was going on live television to urge an end to the war last summer. We all share the same values, true Libyans concerned with rebuilding our country after years of living abroad.

It’s not clear how many prisoners are being held in the “new” Libya. While human-rights groups, including those representing the United Nations, talk of 7,000 to 10,000, eyewitnesses and former prisoners talk of three times those figures. Warnings are now common about widespread torture. A recently released friend told me how he had been kept for more than a week, his diabetes medication confiscated by guards. He was tearful when he described what was going on in what he dubbed Misurata’s “concentration camp”, where prisoners as young as 15 are kept behind bars with no visits from relatives or access to lawyers.

The living conditions at those prisons are terrible. Death by torture is widespread across the country, but the most notorious stories come from Misurata.

In Tripoli, people vanish sometimes without a trace. Less than a month ago a well-known and highly respected career diplomat, Dr. Omar Brebesh, a former ambassador to France, was lured from his office for an interview by militia members, some of whom he knew personally. He went to their makeshift office outside Tripoli and vanished. A couple of days later his body, showing signs of torture, turned up in a forest west of Tripoli.

In a recent article, Dr Brebesh’s widow described the brutality her late husband had suffered and she even named a couple of the perpetrators. His oldest son had actually been called to take his father home, but not been told that Dr Brebesh had been killed until he saw the body.

Women are also being mistreated. After “revolutionaries” entered Sirte, they intimidated the few women who had stayed in the city by taking them to Misurata. Any woman who tried to protect her children or her valuables faced the same intimidation.

[Emphasis added.]

Yup, sounds like a real Jeffersonian government to me? Aren’t you glad that Sean Hannity, Newt Gingrich, and Barack Hussein Obama all agreed on going in and wasted billions of your tax dollars to bring these animals to power?

Alhamdillullah [praise allah]. Springtime Arabia is just as I predicted.

Oh, and praise uber-dhimmi dhummis Sean Hannity, Mohammed Z. Jasser, and Obama, too. Weak minds think alike.

Mustafa Fetouri is what we would have liked to see the Arab Spring become.

Decent people like him are a minority in the Arab World and any one who doesn’t like living under a radical Islamic dictatorship is getting out while they still can.

No – don’t ask why the West isn’t supporting them. Its too busy bending over for the Muslim Brotherhood and its allies to worry about democracy and freedom in the Arab World.

The few people who are moderate are going to become extinct. But don’t hold your breath waiting for those who advocated Qaddafi’s overthrow to admit they backed Islamic terrorists.

Just your day in democracy, tolerance and pluralism in Greater Barbaria.

Islamic democracy – One man one bomb. Five torturers one beheaded victim. One armed major 13 dead unarmed American soldiers. 100 sex starved Egyptian male democrats – 1 female rape victim. Such a lovely Arab Spring. Makes one want to move to Syria.

In my papi’s generation this muslim in chief would ve been impeached a long time ago,the man is systematically destroying our country,Mc Cain was no much different than Obama hence the reason we conservatives rejected him and continue rejecting him,Mc Cain is just a useful tool for the MSM and the DNC…. yes folks we are watching the gradual demise of our country….and at the end when this muslim leaves the WH if it is in 5 years my question is,will our country be worth fighting for? evil is unleashed in our culture, and yes the muslim has a lot to do with it,bc he has encouraged abhorrent behaiviour via policy or by speeches….now more than ever may G-d have mercy on our country.

Juan on February 16, 2012 at 6:00 pm

Well, if we look on the bright side, at least Muslims are being killed.

skzion on February 16, 2012 at 6:01 pm

    skzion,
It would have been a bright side, but only christians are killeed there. No muslims are killed because they think that muslims are the best people who canme to earth as their cursed Koran said. They think that they are superior exactly like what Hitler did.

Atta on February 17, 2012 at 12:42 pm

It seems like now what these individuals and groups are doing to cover themselves is to say that the original ‘revolution’ to remove Qaddafi was good, but now, the revolution is in danger of being hijacked by the extremists, and Obama isn’t doing enough to prevent this. Commentary Magazine is among those trying to save face now by taking this position, and no doubt most Republican politicians, including John Bolton, who I originally expected better of, with the honorable exception of Michelle Bachmann who was right to begin with (and took a lot of heat from the me-too Republicans for this) will take the same position.

LAI: Spot on. Commentary’s moronic editors cheered Obama on and attacked conservatives who were against Obama going into Libya. They are idiots. DS

Little Al on February 16, 2012 at 6:09 pm

I really love the threads on Egypt and Libya. I learn from them and they fuel my fire.

DS’ spot on with “Weak Minds Think Alike”. I like to add Samantha Power (the war-loving Irish buttinsky)and her feminine husband Cass Sunstein to that parade of horribles. Libya is her baby. She wanted to road-test the strategy because she would like to see the same thing done to Israel. She thinks Hillary Clinton is a monster, but she should have a good look in the mirror.

And Dr. Zuhdi Jasser is *ALWAYS* labeled as a “moderate” Moooooslim…even by Conservative talk-show hosts and learned guest who SHOULD know better. I have heard him on Savage and even Fred Grandy recently cited him (Grandy is warning peeps of creeping sharia, but obviously he is not in DS’ league). A big record scratching happens in my mind when I hear his name. Thanks to THIS blog!

Most Liberals are NOT up on the facts and when I come across one who still *THINKS* that the “Arab Spring” was a positive thing I know the dope has not read ONE PAGE on what is really happening. That is why Conservatives should never be cowed by Liberals. Building knowledge is your best defense against them. We must know 10 times more than they do.

The big question now is what happens to Syria? Is it better if it falls or under the creepy despot Assad? (And you know that equation to the question will really confuse Liberals because they have no clue about Sunni or Shi’ite…let alone Alawite!!!)

Infidel can help with my question above!

Skunky on February 16, 2012 at 7:34 pm

This is one thing the elte chooses to ignore for political gain and grandstanding,Bush did encourage democracy in those countrirs too, democracy is only as good as the values behind it, our Founding Fathers knew it and they chose a Republican constitutional govnmnt because pure democracy can be evil as we are witnessing in those barbaric countries, even here, pure democracy would be bad as well.
Skunky..where are you.?

Juan on February 16, 2012 at 7:40 pm

Get ready for R2P (“Responsibility to Protect”) Part II, this time in Syria, with the same voices calling for US intervention. Meanwhile, one of the rebel spokesmen last week said overthrowing Assad will lead to a stronger Syria, one better able to … fight ISRAEL!

The only thing the US should be doing is what they failed to do in Libya – make sure Syrian weaponry (including chemical weapons) is destroyed so whoever ultimately wins won’t get their hands on them.

Raymond in DC on February 16, 2012 at 7:42 pm

Raymond, if that is the case (on R2P) you know that Irish hag Samantha Power will have her horrible claws all over it.

Obama MUST be stopped in November. However, it does not look very good. That does not mean I will ever stop trying. Just pointing to the prognosis.

And the sad, sick news is that Republicans can’t seem to win when they should have been running away with it. As the saying goes, they are pulling defeat from the arms of victory!

Skunky on February 16, 2012 at 9:14 pm

There is one thing that you can bank on in any Muslim society. The “Good Guys” will be as bad or worse than the “Bad Guys” There is no point in making distinctions that are not really there. Libya is indeed far worse off than before the “Revolution” Republicans are unable to explott a key obama failure.

worry01 on February 16, 2012 at 7:52 pm

“…and many Libyans just vanishing (no doubt, after they were tortured and cut into pieces).”

How is this different than before?

I suppose this question needs to be held up to the light of the 2008 promise of “hope and change”. A U.S. sponsored war left Libyans without hope and in the end, there is no change.

But hey! The employment figures are looking improved so why notice?

There is NO Santa Claus on February 16, 2012 at 9:55 pm

In my opinion skunky for some one to win at anything, first they must be willing to win,the repubs running the House, mainly the weeper of the House is not fighting at all,he capitulates at every chance and first oportunity he gets, but here is where we come in,screw the weeper of the house,Skunky people like you and some folks here can articulate the conservative principles better than that loser weeper of the house,if you using your evident patriotism and convincing skills can and do spread the message we can win again,no one here be discouraged this is a fight we can win in the streets and with our neighbors,if we don t…..oh..G d helps us all if we lose and the mooslim zero stays 4 more years…. saddle up,lock and load, victory we ll be ours.

And only after the rebels succeeded did there seem to be any concern that armed revolutionaries with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood AND Al Qaeda had access to 20,000 shoulder fired anti-aircraft missiles. That’s enough to essentially put the airline industry in a perpetual state of fear for years. These weapons could have a toll well beyond their use that under Qaddafi ever could have.

Debbie, I can’t get too worked up about who gets to kill whom in Libya these days, although I agree Qadaffi, the secret Jew, was not so bad for Israel. I think we can safely refer to the current Libyan scenario as “Alien v. Predator.” Meanwhile it wouldn’t kill you to cover the more pressing news, Jeremy Lin’s takeover of NYC. I’m pretty sure there’s a Jewish angle there. Text me.

Hey A1 I got a great idea, change the name of your by line to “Mein Kempf”, or would you consider that plagerism? If I spelled it wrong let me know, I am sure you know.

Ron Wolf on February 20, 2012 at 7:00 pm

Skunky

I’d say that as long as there is a civil war in Syria w/ no signs of ending, things are going great as far as we Infidels go. One more of Debbie’s Alien vs Predator scenarios.

I agree w/ skzion above – it’s purely Muslim on Muslim violence, and Muslims are getting killed. Darwinism/natural selection @ work. Only problem is the EU countries, particularly Italy, being ready to take in ‘refugees’ from this conflict: what they should really do is tell them ‘Hey, you have your democracy now, so there is no reason to want to hop across the Mediterranean’. I think what’s happening in Libya now is just ideal – honestly, I don’t see why Debbie is complaining, 😉 aside from wasted money that could have been put into better use, like building a few Thorium nuclear power plants in the US, and generating both power and jobs.

Anyway, back to Syria. Look @ it this way – if Assad stays, you have a Hizbullah backed and Hizbullah backing regime in Damascus. If he falls, you have an al Qaeda backed regime instead. It’s like asking someone whether cat poop or dog poop is more digestable.

The ideal solution to Syria is a full blown civil war taking place there b/w Assad and the (Sunni) Muslim Brotherhood, which is linked to the party of the same name in Egypt and tied to the Saudis and al Qaeda. Hizbullah needs the Assad regime to stay, b’cos if Syria becomes Sunni, it won’t likely leave Lebanon alone, and there will end Hizbullah’s power. But if the Assad regime becomes strong, then it will strengthen the Shia crescent and threaten Israel. So the best solution is for all Hizbullah fighters to go to Syria to help Assad curb the rebellion, while Sunnis like Hamas are encouraged by the Saudis to back the Muslim Brotherhood. While Hamas does have offices in Syria, it would be interesting to see whether they would take the side of Assad against the Muslim Brotherhood. At any rate, there’s no shortage of Sunni Jihadis from Egypt and Libya who’d be happy to join the Sunnis in Syria.

Remember how during the occupation of Iraq, the Bush admin used to say that it’s good to fight them there so that one won’t have to fight them here? Well, problem w/ that was that it was US troops in Iraq who were getting shot @, cussed for Abu Ghraib and so on, which wasn’t helping. The Bushies almost had it right, except that such a battle should happen b/w themselves, not involving US or other Western/Infidel troops. Saudi Arabia has a problem w/ Iranian influence in Syria? Fine, let them tell Hamas to send as many fighters to spill into Syria. Similarly, get Iran to get Hizbullah to spill into Syria as well. The more Jihadis who get killed fighting their great Taqfir (Muslim on Muslim) war in Syria, the fewer Jihadis would be there to launch terror attacks on Israelis or anyone else.

The good thing here is that Russia & China have already made it clear to the West that they’ll tolerate no interference in Syria. That’s great – let the Saudis & others work this one out for the Sunni side, and let the Iranians work it out for Assad & Hizbullah. Like the poem about the ‘Two cats of Killerney’, if this goes on long enough, the end results will be fantastic!

For everyone!

Infidel on February 17, 2012 at 5:50 am

I forgot to mention above – the Sunnis shouldn’t win either. If they do, while they may undo Lebanon, they’ll again be a client state of Egypt like they were during Nasser’s time, and form a dual front threat to Israel.

As Hugh Fitzgerald, former VP of JihadWatch used to say, ‘The important thing to note is that we don’t have a dog in this fight. The only dog we have is the fight itself. Feed that dog’.

Infidel on February 17, 2012 at 5:54 am

Infidel, thank you for your knowledge and clarity on the issue. I will be reading your posts over and over so they sink in properly. That’s how we all learn here…from DS (most of all) and all her smart fans.

NessaRose, I really enjoyed that Two Cats of Kilkenny poem. That was great!

Skunky on February 17, 2012 at 5:24 pm

reply to INFIDEL
Very Nice – good to keep in mind – I had to look it up.

Two Cats of Kilkenny
“There once were two cats of Kilkenny,
Each thought there was one cat too many.
So they fought and they fit,
And they scratched and they bit,
‘Til excepting their nails
And the tips of their tails,
Instead of two cats
There weren’t any!”

I generally agree, maybe islam will self-destruct – everyone stand back – or should we give it a nudge?
BTW, it might be nice if the same solution could be found for Iran, let the Saudis and the Persians duke ( nuke ) it out, why should Israel do the Sunnis work for them?

There is still one problem though, there are still ( althought maybe not for long ) a few Christians in Syria and some Jews next door.
How the “cat fight” plays out will have some effect on them, and we should care about that.
At one time the US was a Christian country and I would have thought that the President would have been concerned for the fate of fellow Christians anywhere in the world, but obviously those days are long gone, at least I haven’t seen any evidence of it, still WE should care, and maybe someday the US will come to its senses and return to its Judeo-Christian values and recognize the importance of trying to defend Western Civilization.

When it comes to Syria, it’s too complicated for me to figure out, but I look to Israel for suggestions or direction, they must be considering the situation very closely, and an outcome that benefits them would probably benefit us.

Interesting explanation of Russia’s interest in Syria here
    https://warsclerotic.wordpress.com/2012/02/17/vladimir-putin-deepens-russias-stake-in-syria/
I can’t understand the US/Russia conflict, I see a Russian Orthodox Russia and the US as natural friends and allies in a Christian Western Civilization.
But apparently some people would rather make friends and allies of the Devil and squabble over oil.

Syria truly is a “Pandora’s Box” of unimaginable horrors.

Why do I picture Hillary as a naive child who can’t resist her curiosity and temptation to lift the lid and see what’s in the box ? Scary.
Or, why do I picture Hillary as a conceited “know it all” who is just going to barge in, tell everyone what they’re doing wrong, and fix things ?
I lack confidence in the US State Department, it’s judgement and it’s foreign policy.

Nessarose on February 17, 2012 at 9:16 am

Your statememts about Hilary are too correct. She is dangerous.
But I agree with Kissinger that Russia saturaated with muslim jihadists from within and without, especially in the the southern “stans” is not looking foward to a Moslem Brotherhood takeover of Syria, and UN inteference as the revenge massacre of resident Russians, Christians and Allewites begins.
Iran’s hegonomy will only increase with a weakened Syria despite Iran’s support that can turn on a dime.
Russia is nervous, very nervous about losing her number one client state in the region encouraging not only the Chechens to seek the oil controlled by Russia in the south.

The Pam AM bomber deserved as much to die as Osama, though the genius Reagan goaded him by missing his tent and killing his daughter instead.
Libya our fickle partner in oil and misery one way or the other was overdue for a facelift.
Moslems over there do not believe in face lifts when it comes to heads of states, they would rather remove the whole head literally.
Chose your poison, the “West” knew it was futile to back him so hoping to save face and curry a little camel hump they turned on the aging Daffy. Hopefully they will continue killing each other ignoring our oil wells.

Ron Wolf on February 17, 2012 at 12:34 pm

I cannot, for the life of me, understand why the powers that be in this country learned NOTHING from the Iraq fiasco. Our involvement in Libya was illegal and I sincerely hope this gets brought out against the President in the election this year. John McCain and Bill O’Reilly were also for it nightly and I just knew from day one it was a horrible idea. I am sick of my tax dollars being wasted in the Middle East while I work 2 jobs to pay my bills, gas, and food.

Too many of the Christians in these Arab countries are Islamo-Christians – Christians who display their Arab loyalties by being pro-Islamic and anti-Israel.

Honestly, while I do have a tad bit of more sympathy for them than for Muslims, I don’t really care, since they are as obnoxious in their Judeophobia as are the Muslims. More often than not, they tend to be Baathist (both in Iraq & Syria) and in Egypt, as Debbie has pointed out, they are virulently anti-Semitic. In Lebanon, the Maronites have fled from that country – the census numbers that show Lebanon as equally Christian and Muslim are from the 60s. The Maronites who were not anti-Israel fled that country or got killed. Speaking of which, the way Israel treated the South Lebanon Army was just shameful, when they evacuated Lebanon, leaving it for Hizbullah to overrun them.

The only Maronites and Melkiites left in Lebanon are those who support either Hizbullah, or the Harari regime. Not really our friends, much less allies.

Once again we learn why there’s the expression “Better the Devil you know, than the Devil you don’t know”.

Qaddafi had been kissing ass to America for 10 years trying to get in our good graces and look at what it bought him, nothing.
I see that Syria’s ruler has watched and learned his lesson.
He’s not backing down and I hope he fights all the harder seeing that Syria will become the cesspool that Libya is now should he lose.
Also he knows he’ll end up dead like Qaddafi should he lose.
