INTERESTING Video: Facebook Graffiti Artist Becomes a Quarter Billionaire

By Debbie Schlussel

I can’t feel sorry for David Choe, the Facebook multi-millionaire, who–by some accounts–is now worth over $250 million.  But I understand his complaints about privacy, and I find his story interesting.  It’s interesting because if I were in his shoes–when Facebook’s future fortunes were not exactly known–I wonder if I’d take the $60,000 he turned down as a starving artist for stock.  I think I probably would have made the same decision, but ya never know.  What would you do?

Watch this (and don’t let the fact that Baba Wawa is doing the story distract you) . . .

I would have taken the stock for sure.

This guy is nothing special, just very lucky. His eccentric personality is contrived and off-putting. Locked up for a short stay in jail, he had no choice but to “paint” with urine, blood and soy sauce? First time I both laughed and retched at the same time.

He spends his time in casinos and quite likely is also a virgin -note his juvenile fantasy that women are calling him offering a lifetime of oral sex – he will be broke in no time.

Know what? With $250 million, more or less, you can easily hire people who will be glad to enforce your privacy, with out making anything like the kind of dent in your bank account that the government will. In fact, the physical people will cost him nothing like the accountants and lawyers will to protect himself from the predations of Government.

Whitney Houston today died today… a year younger than me – had a couple of hits in the late 80s and early 90s.

After being hooked on drugs, her career crashed and she had a turbulent marriage. Its really sad when people like her go out at what should be the prime of their life.

Debbie, H. and I made Havdalah and are ready for another week. H. took a big Shabbes nap so now he wants to party like a rock star. I on the other hand don’t really feel like going anywhere so poor H. is stuck, again. Please come over and visit us Debbie so then I’ll have reason to party every night and little H. can finally spread his wings. I would have taken the 60K for the paint job but only so I could tell everyone how much money I lost for the next several decades. I’d fit in well with the multitudes of snakebitten Jews who tell me they could have bought Times Square for $7500 back in ’47 or whatever.

John Illinois is right. With that sort of money, he could hire people to help with his privacy concerns. Also, the claim that he wants privacy doesn’t exactly make sense if he agrees to interviews like this, which only serve to give him more attention…
