“Evil Jew” Israelis Train HAMAS Palestinians in Desert Farming – Funded by Jewish Natl Fund
In Judaism, we believe that G-d helps those who help themselves and that if someone comes to kill you, kill him first. We do not believe in turning the other cheek. Sadly, that is not how the Israelis are conducting themselves. Instead they are not only sleeping with the enemy, but aiding the enemy in defeating Israel economically. Despite all the vilification of the Jews and Israel, this is the third such “Israel helps the Palestinians to compete with them on this crop or that crop” story that I’ve posted in a year. (I also posted about how Israel promoted Palestinian cucumbers and how Israel helped the Palestinians grow strawberries–both in competition against Israeli farmers.)
Mazel Tov: Israel’s Arava Trains HAMAS Palestinians to Compete Against Israeli Farmers
Frankly, the Israelis are NOT acting like they are at war. Instead, they are enabling the enemy to compete with Israelis who are under attack every single day. It’s nauseating how Israel continues to pander to these people, despite the fact that these people hate Israel and love HAMAS and the additional fact that the international community will still hate Israel and the Jews no matter what. Now, these HAMASniks (Fatah is merging with HAMAS) will have these secret techniques.
Oh, and by the way, if you are one of those naive donors to Jewish National Fund, this is what you are funding! The same JNF, which refuses to do anything beyond the green line for Jews, spends money teaching Palestinian terrorism supporters how to compete against Jews on the market. My paternal grandparents were JNF national officers and have a forest in Israel named after them. They are turning over in their graves right now. (I’ve already told you about how JNF–and Shaarey Zedek Hospital–honored a Detroit-area HAMAS supporter who gives legal advice to drug gangs headed by Yemeni Muslims.)
A West Bank agricultural development team is hoping to form a partnership with Central and Northern Arava Research and Development by sending Palestinian agricultural students to learn desert farming techniques from Israeli experts.
Arava Research and Development, based at the arid Yair Research Station near Hatzeva, which The Jerusalem Post toured on Tuesday, is an agricultural hub for scientists and farming experts who experiment with techniques to grow crops in extreme desert conditions.
Funded jointly by the Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund and the government, the research unit explores methods to grow products in sandy and saline water conditions, and contains a variety of produce in its greenhouses, including sweet peppers, strawberries and ornamental fish. . . .
For the first time, a Palestinian group – which visited the facility on the same day as the Post – is requesting to give students this same type of learning experience, according to Hanni Arnon, the program’s director.
“We are trying to see how we can create a joint venture with these guys, in order to send Palestinian students – in university or just finishing high school – to get training here in the same way as Asian students,” said Ibrahim Barakat, member of the board of directors of the Ramallah and Gaza based firm Harvest Export, which provides Palestinian agricultural cooperatives and individual farmers with the opportunities to export their produce. . . .
“It’s introducing a new way of looking at agriculture – shying away from the normal stuff that we produce,” said Hani Dajani, managing director of the al-Birehbased Portland Trust.
By learning to employ some of the same techniques that the Arava farmers use, Palestinian agriculturists in the Jordan Valley can learn to expand their variety of produce and export their wares overseas, according to Dajani.
The program would aim to give skills to smaller, individual Palestinian farmers and then eventually open a facility parallel to that of Yair in the Jordan Valley so that when students return from their Arava training, they have a place to continue their research closer to home, Barakat added. “I want to invest in young people,” he said.
Arava Research and Development director Eilon Gadiel said he hoped that the partnership would succeed, noting that while the climates of the Arava and the Jordan Valley are not quite the same, many of the same farming skills apply to both places.
Eilon Gadiel is obviously one of the leftist Israeli schmucks who jumps at the opportunity to help HAMAS supporters beat Israeli farmers economically in the international marketplace. Lech L’Hitgahgayah [“Go bleep yourself” in Hebrew], Eilon. You’re taking food off the table and money out of the hands of Israeli farmers who are not supporters of HAMAS.
Not only would a joint program between Arava Research and Development and a Palestinian cohort bring new agricultural expertise to the West Bank, it could also foster a wave of better relations between two peoples, both Barakat and Dajani stressed. An exchange of knowledge and communication could only serve to benefit both populations, Gadiel agreed.
Hey, I think I hear Michael MacDonald’s voice, singing, “What a Fool Believes.”
“Exchanging information between the two parties is healthy and can bring peace,” Barakat said.
Uh-huh, just like giving instructions to Iran on how to develop nukes “is healthy and can bring peace.” Funny, I never heard a single American corporation say that giving their source code to the Chinese “is healthy and can bring peace.”
Remember, if you give a single dime to Jewish National Fund–as a good deal of Jewish Americans do–you are funding this crap.

Debbie, I plant a few trees in Israel every year thru the JNF, sometimes to honor the dead. I hope my tree money isn’t being used for any of this narishkeit. H. and I also send pizza deliveries to IDF patrols. We think they well deserve a nice, kosher pizza.
A1: Sadly, that’s exactly where your tree money is going. There have been plenty of exposes about how JNF wastes money and doesn’t even plant the trees. But, now, they mostly waste the money on this stuff. Don’t give them a dime, whether they claim it will go to a tree or not. This is where it is going. As for the PizzaIDF, that’s a good cause. DS
