“Tolerance”: Palestinians Arrest Jews For Trying to Visit Holy Jewish Site

By Debbie Schlussel

When Muslims want to go to their holy sites–which they build on top of holy Jewish sites, Israel not only allows them to go and protects them, but forbids Jews to enter those places.  But when the shoe is on the other foot, this is the kind of “tolerance” with which Jews are greeted. (And the government of Israel goes along with this crap.)

Palestinian Muslims Take Over Joseph’s Tomb After Trying to Destroy It

Palestinian Authority security forces detained five Israeli settlers in the northern West Bank in the early hours of Friday morning, officials said.

The settlers, who hold US passports, tried to enter Joseph’s Tomb, the site where some believe the biblical figure Joseph was buried, Palestinian officials told Ma’an.

They were questioned and handed over to Israeli liaison officials, local officials said, adding that the visitors were unarmed. An Israeli police spokesman did not immediately return calls seeking comment.

The tomb, near Balata refugee camp, is in an area under PA control but the settlers had not coordinated the visit with PA security forces.

Hmmm . . . if it’s under Palestinian Authority control, why is there still a Palestinian refugee camp there? The usual: to have a phony political issue to use against Israel.

The Israeli army provides regular escorted visits to the religious site, coordinated with PA security forces, but extremist settlers have challenged any restrictions on their access to the tomb, located inside Nablus city.

Uh-huh, it’s “extremist” to want to visit your religious site without scheduling an appointment . . . but only if you’re not Muslim. They get free reign of the world.

Earlier this month, an Israeli court charged four men with making unauthorized visits to the tomb. They had made several trips to the site in 2008, the Israeli daily Haaretz reported.

It was the first case pursued by the courts for unauthorized entry to Nablus.

The Jews who were arrested are lucky they weren’t shot at and murdered by Palestinian police, which happened in April when other Jews visited Joseph’s Tomb.  These Jews were unarmed and not hurting a soul.  And you should note that the Palestinians already tried to destroy most of Joseph’s Tomb.

Ah, Islamic “tolerance.”  Ain’t no such thing.

And I absolutely wonder why these pieces of putrid vermin EVER have anyone on their rotten side. And when I find out many Jews support them, I wonder even more.

I will never, ever get it. It makes me so upset. Can’t imagine if I were Jewish myself.

    Skunky,

We actually agree on some things. The fact that Jews are restricted from their religious sites anywhere in Israel is an outrage, including the Temple Mount.

So called “hard liners” Ariel Sharon and Netanyahu have wimped out on this issue.

Are you aware that more and more Arabs are illegally squatting on land INSIDE Israel proper and the Israeli police and army are apparently too afraid to stop it?

Skunky, the only jews who support a Palestinian state (ironically, 50-100 years ago there was NO country or land called Palestine, to me it’s made up) are the ADL type of jews and kapos and JINO’s!

As for Palestine, I believe their state is either Jordan, Gaza, the West Bank or South Lebanon? And I won’t be surprised if all of the trolls will flood up this thread like last week and Debbie wrote about Queen Rania of Jordan and Michelle Obama, and contradict what DS and all of us have wrote here and say BS propaganda like, “yadda yadda Israel stole Palestinian land yadda yadda”, etc.

And at the sametime, I am NOT anti-Palestinian people, I know there some folks of Palestinian lineage/heritage who are good, descent, respectful, and could careless for politics or religion. The only Palestinians who are fanaticlly pro-Palestine are predominately Palestinian muslims and a few Palestinian christians (not all of them).

Just a quick fact check for everyone

Sean R is right 50-100 years ago there was no Palestine, but to be fair 50-100 years there was no Israel either. It was formed in 1948 so I am not sure that the best argument to use.

The fact is there seems to have always been Arabs and Jews living in the area, which went from Ancient Israeli control, to Persian Control, to Roman control, to Arab control, to Turkish control until its dissolution after world war I.

So just to be clear both states are didn’t exist a mere 60 years ago. I could care either way, I think the two state solution is the best thing but I am not sure any of us will ever realize that.

George A. on January 27, 2012 at 5:15 pm

George A., why would you want a state for the “Palestinians” when you know how Mooooooslims really feel about Jews? That does not make sense to me.

And I think you’re wrong with your time-line on Israel.

Thanks for the other info guys. It makes me even more upset because I only hear about the bizarro “Palestinian” apartheid (???) outrage and not what happens to the Jews.

Pardon me…I forgot about “George A-hole”! No wonder why his post is pure fantasia!

Skunky on January 27, 2012 at 7:11 pm

Skunky,
Go to youtube and get some footage of the ‘settlement’ town of Migron, where Jews were evicted at 4AM ….by their own government. There’s one family where the husband had been wounded by a terrorist, and the mother had an infant. Bam…In the middle of the night. It bends the mind as to why the Israeli govt would do this to their own….and the west hardly ever hears of this stuff. If they did this to the Arabs at 4AM, the whole world would throw a fit.

Israel’s dhimmi leaders are more concerned with pleasing Jew-hating Arabs than with protecting Jewish rights.

Likud primary voters can help to send them a message about this by voting for Moshe Feiglin next week.

Stop Israel’s pointless surrenders to Islamic terrorists and bring the Jewish State back on track!

You’re a hero, Skunky. Stop apologizing.

NormanF on January 28, 2012 at 10:28 am

Now you’re gonna steal Norman’s handle, huh?

How sad that you can’t debate the issues. I have no care if you have hi-jacked my handle, but leave Norman’s ALONE!

Skunky on January 28, 2012 at 11:34 am

Skunky, it seems like lately you’ve become a “rock-star” that you have low-life bums coping you’re screen-name and trying so damn hard and impersonating you and you’re personality. Debbie knows who’s-who on this blog of her’s, and I to think that imposter who commented at 10:28 am this morning, hell Norman hasn’t been doing alot of commenting lately and the samething can be said for myself.

This has gone to far. Israel is constantly under seige, from Arab insurgents who wish to destroy her from within and without. This may be the time to take back the West Bank and take down those Arabic signs where they are an afront to those who died fighting for Israel. Especially “Al Quds” I mean where is Stalingrad, or Constantinobel today? As the old Yiddish saying goes “enough is enough”
First stop referring to “Palestine or the Palestinian Flag”. Just as Israel does not exist to them, neither should Palestine that is western in origin.
As for the so called flag (I prefer colors as a flag represents a country, and or an army) I compare it to the Nazi flag and it has no business being flown on Israeli territory, or in the te US. For those whom I lost let me make clear that both rags represent “Judenrein” as in this special case of the tomb of Joseph where Israel has given them a foot in the tent so to speak (If you remember the folktale about the Arab, the camel and the sandstorm). Their “flag” stands for the expulsion of Jews from every Moslem country if you understand the Muslim Quran, and hear word for word what is being cried out in the streets of Egypt, Tunesia, Jordan etc.
Yes, Israel is a democracy, not a perfect one but neither is ours. Does Israel have any problems with the Drusze? No. Does Israel have a no-fly for Israeli Muslims like Egypt has just imposed on American NGO’s while we give them billions and armaments?
If the singular goal of Hamas was a palestinian state they would sit down for unconditional talks, emphasis on the word “unconditional”. Thus,if Israel handed over all territory pre 1967 would the daily rocket attacks, an murder stop, of course not.
Again just like the Nazi Flag the Palestinian flag represents only “Judenrein”, and if you look at other “peace loving” Muslim countries such as Pakistan, and Indonesia you know that Christians are next.
Stop referring to these Arabs as “Palestinians” they are terrorists whose sole aim is the destruction of the State of Israel, what other country in this world would tolerate for one minute a terrorist militia on their soil? Stop using the word Palestine altogether. After the British surrendered to General Washington, and our declaration of independence was signed Tories in New York, and New England fled to Canada (many in Newfoundland today) albeit under duress from angry torch carrying mobs.
To my knowledge I have heard neither British, nor Canadians refer to America today as “the colonies”. Israel is not the British colony referred to as Palestine. If non-Jews such as Christians and Druze, and yes even Muslims wish to live under the Israeli flag peacefully they can.
Ironically, Moslem citizens in Norway, Denmark and other countries that incorporate a Christian Cross in their flag do not refuse to recognize it(so far). And if you want to see Palestinians being abused, and persecuted simply visit Gaza via the internet to witness “peaceful Hamas” and even more radical offshoots of Hamas. Thankyou Debbie for your steadfast support of Israel a country that has deeper roots than most Muslim countries in that region of the world.

Is Palestine the Arabic word for Ghetto? It sure seems like it, otherwise these people would have a home to go to instead of beig treated like unwanted lowlife by their Arab neighbor brothers and sisters who won’t let them in.
As DS says: ” if it’s under Palestinian Authority control, why is there still a Palestinian refugee camp there?”
???…refugees from where?

George A

Let’s focus on what’s valid today! True, there was no Israel in 1912, but then, one can either go by precedance, or one can go by the present.

If you want to go by the present, then Israel is what exists today, and the Palis have no legitimacy. If you want to go by history, there is no valid reason for arbitarily stopping @ 1900 or 640AD – if you’re going back, go back all the way and see who was there first! The Hebrews – not the Romans, not the Greeks, not the Philistines, not the Persians, not the Arabs.

If one can claim that Jews are illegally living in Israel b’cos ‘Palestinians’ lived there before 1948, one can equally claim that Palestinians are illegally living there b’cos Jews were the only ones who lived there before 640, before the Arab conquests. So if you’re going to play the History game, no point being selective.

On the original article, the Palis have been noted to descecrate Joseph’s Tomb in Nablus, so no surprise there. Otoh, if Israel were to demolish the al Aqsa mosque, imagine the hue & cry.

Actually, the al Aqsa mosque is similar to what the Muslims did in India – demolish thousands of temples during their conquests over 800 years. In the 90s, a campaign was on to restore one of them in Ayodhya, and in 1991, a whole bunch of Hindus stormed that mosque, demolished it, and set up a Hindu shrine in its place, w/ blueprints for a temple later. They got it right, and India got to find out the results of decades of pandering to Muslims, and started repairing relations w/ Israel.

The Jews ought to do what the OCCUPY crowd did – OCCUPY AL AQSA (hey, if it’s good enough for Zuccotti Park, it’s good enough for Temple Mount) and demolish it, and build a grand synagogue there. Ensure that there are no mosques in Jersusalem, and clean up Nazareth – there is no reason why local Muslims there ought to be free to intimdate local Christians.
