Freedom of . . . Sluttiness in High School Year Book Pic?

We live in a really spoiled country. If you need evidence to back that up, check out the attempted yearbook photo of Sydney Spies, a senior at Durango High School in Colorado. She is threatening to file a lawsuit over the rejection of her hooker get-up photo. The only thing missing from the photo is the caption, “$10 per act.” What ever happened to head shots for yearbooks?

I’m amazed and heartened that five student editors of the yearbook had the guts to reject the photo. Not sure who told this bim that a yearbook photo is an audition for the Fredericks of Hollywood catalogue or the Hustler Cafe. But apparently, she has a moronette womb/egg donor posing as a parent who thinks the pic is not only okay, but some sort of civil rights issue. (“I have a dream that one day my children will be judged not by the color of their skin but by the . . . color of their pasties and thong underwear in a yearbook photo?!”) The only benefit to Spies’ slutty photo is that, at the ten-year high school reunion, her former classmates can be reminded of who this miserable, rapidly aging, coke-addicted cocktail waitress/diseased former porn star once was.

A Colorado teenager whose yearbook picture was rejected for being too revealing is vowing to fight the ban with her high school’s administration, but the editors of the yearbook insist it was their decision alone on the photo.

The five student editors of the Durango High School yearbook in Durango, Col., told the Durango Herald they were the ones who made the call not to publish a picture of senior Sydney Spies. . . .

“We are an award-winning yearbook. We don’t want to diminish the quality with something that can be seen as unprofessional,” student Brian Jaramillo told the paper on Thursday.

Spies was joined by her mother, Miki Spies, and a handful of fellow Durango High students and alumni in a protest outside the school Wednesday after, she said, administrators informed her the photo would not be permitted because it violated dress code.

“I feel like they aren’t allowing me to have my freedom of expression,” Spies told the Herald. ”I think the administration is wrong in this situation, and I don’t want this to happen to other people.”

I don’t want other people to be unable to be unable to show their ass . . . ets. Hilarious. I can just see this now as being a winning essay for admission to Harvard in response to, “Tell us how you overcame tremendous obstacles in life.”

I can only imagine what the signs at the protest said. “Freedom to be a Ho!”

Despite the clarification from her peers into how and why the decision was made, a meeting Spies initiated between herself, her mother, and the school’s principal, Diane Lashinsky, was held today as planned.

Wow, this “mother,” Miki Spies, needs to be arrested for child abuse. What an idiotette. “Fighting for my daughter’s right to bare it all!”

Debbie, prior to my graduation in high school in 1997, I took only a “head-shot” to post my picture in the yearbook of my former high school.

Doesn’t this kid knows that you’re NOT suppose to post racy pictures in high school yearbooks? Just about everyone in high school are minors who are under the age of 18 and NOT mentally developed like adults.

It’s funny to me in 2012 that silly gits like this skank are taken so seriously because in my opinion, expressing oneself in such a stupid and shallow way screams that these exhibitionists are either too dumb to think with their brain or that they mistakenly believe others are taken with their (as DS said) assets.

Those taken by the “assets” don’t value these slutty chicks in the way almost everyone wants to be eventually valued…by being respected.

In fact, in the new year, I have been paying special attention to how certain people comport themselves and I am sad and annoyed to see that a many men today (those not of the good ilk…and there are many of the good ilk out there) are barely men. If they are not so annoyingly and disgustingly chick-if-ied, they are letches and use dopey broads like the one above for one thing. Use once and move on (easily). Use once and destroy.

And the men are just taking advantage of spoils they can obtain. Most if not all the fault rests on the dumb women.

It’s nice to see that in a once great country, crap like this makes the news en mass in lieu of judging it harshly as cultural rot. It’s nice to see USA is more attuned to Paris Hilton-like narcissistic behaviour and Kardashian living uber alles. I’m glad in 2012 Feminism was able to quell all of this “women as a sex object” foolishness.

NOT. The fact that silly skanks like this WANT to present themselves as such proves the women’s movement did NOTHING but make life more retardedly stupid. Dumb women will always want to skank out like this no matter what. I dont think the feminists counted on it or even acknowledge it…but I do!

And it is why females can never and should never rule the world. But their stupid movement also made many men into wusses and had those same dopey, effeminate men STILL use and discard stupid females…no matter how they try to hide it or dress it up.

Skunky, the only ones taking this girl seriously are the people up in arms about a silly photo of a 17 or 18 year old grown woman (she looks years older than 17 or 18) wearing an ugly outfit.

I doubt that photo was intended to be her “portrait”, most likely it’s one of the many photos of students and faculty that are sprinkled throughout the yearbook.

What is a feminist anyway? Ask a zillion “feminists” and you’re likely to get almost as many versions of what a feminist is.

Feminists are not a monolith. They run the gamut from seeking equality all the way to hatred and/or dominance of men. I’ve even seen at least one crackpot feminist on TV declare that all heterosexual sex is rape.

You can label me a feminist because my libertarian leaning mindset believes in equality of opportunity without special treatment, such as allowing female fire dept candidates to carry lighter weight dummies in tests to become firefighters.

You know, I always thought that I was pretty strong in Constitutional law. I guess I missed that section about the right to pose half naked in a yearbook picture. Oh wait, I now remember that part of the amendment that says, “the right to BARE arms …shall not be abridged. Modern courts have interpreted “arms” by the modern accepted practice of showing stomachs, butts, and boobs, so this woman may have a case.

Lest anyone take me seriously, yes, I know it it is the right to keep and BEAR arms…

In essence, this girl is ‘owning her sexuality’, I believe feminism never really was about strengthening women, it was about degrading them, and the family, and the culture,it was a creation of, or at least hi-jacked by, the Fabian socialist movement in it’s plan to ‘fundamentally transform’ the US.

It is why when I do watch “Judge Judy” (which I hardly do) I feel I cannot be wrong after watching dumb broad after dumb (unmarried) broad take her trifling boyfriend to court to get back all the money she wasted on his dumb, broke unmanly ass! Women should NEVER rule the world when such dopiness is legion in 2012!

And I look at frauds like Gloria Steinem and Naomi Wolfe and the Roiphe’s and I wonder how in 2012 they can show their eggy faces. It’s one thing if THEY are in denial, but those with a brain should only view them as frauds who could not and won’t admit they can’t deliver on their promises.

This is ridiculous. Minors don’t technically have the same freedoms adults do, and if she is an adult already (God help us), she’s a guest at the school and doesn’t have to finish. Dress codes have been fought in court, and the schools always win.

Sadly, the dress code isn’t enforced at my school, and she would probably be let off the hook and into the yearbook after a few minutes of “private conversation” with our principal. Hopefully the administration at this school will stand up for what is right and support banning the photo.

Young girls who talk about their body functions in a grocery store line is very nauseating. I hate to think where we’re headed with this level of incompetence

The “cultural rot” you refer to is a mixed bag. In some important ways, American society has changed for the better, and in some ways it’s worse.

“Slut” is another word that means different things to different people. Usually it’s based on jealousy and ignorance.

To some women, a slut is a woman who they believe has a better sex life than they do, and they’re jealous of what they might be missing.

To some men, a slut is a woman who “plays the field”, which means the woman is not devoted only to him and has had sex before meeting him and will have sex after him. This can cause ego issues for him so he calls her a “slut”.

School districts can’t afford to go to court over such things, so the natural inclination would be to dump what is not critical to what they do.

Young girls do not need parental approval to discuss or to have abortions…the girl owns her body, not the parent. However, in schools, young girls may not accept aspirins from fellow students.Why not?

This young lady may be auditioning for the NEW “LOLITA” or “BABY DOLL” or “BARBARELLA” movies that will surely be remade sometime in the future.

Ok, I guess I’m just a little younger than most posters here. While I think this bimbo’s “Mom” should be shot for turning this into some “cause celeb,” this picture is about the very tippity tip of the iceberg for high school behavior these days. I graduated highschool in ’97, & the uber sluttiness was just coming into “vogue.” Being the hormone crazed 18 year old I was, I was rather approving of it, to be honest. However, no one at my school was posing for porno mag pics in their yearbook. They did that stuff outside of school.

Now that I’m about to be 33 & have been married for almost 6 years, again, this stuff doesn’t shock me. All I think when I see a chick like this one is, “yep, I knew you’re kind ALL too well.” I’ve never pretended to be a saint. Chicks like that are the one’s guys meet at the bar, take home & never call again. And then the chick wonders why she has trouble keeping a man. Here’s a clue, honey:

It’s certainly not unusual for a high school yearbook to have photos of girls in swimsuits and shorts that show a whole lot more than that photo does.

The fact is, this is what I get from this picture, “I’m probably not bright, I’m hot but not pretty, not the one to trust or take home to meet the family, I’m a piece of meat, all that matters are physical attributes, and when gravity kicks in years from now, I’ll most likely be a shallow shell of an older woman with a whole lot of baggage.”

It makes me so proud that by the time the 90’s were in their mid-years I had the strength to say and know I was fed a bunch of horsesh** when I was a feminist. And I was pretty militant too!

Thanks for the kind words, Skunky. I’m male, but I too was used to part of the liberal side. After awhile, I realized there were too many contradictions, too much raw hate, disguised as ‘tolerance’, but ‘tolerance’ for only the chosen. Tolerance is BS,anyway, it just means you have no principles that you’ll stand for. The left had many negative attributes, once one starts having real-life experiences and a discernment for lies, it gets pretty easy to turn your back on that ideology.
Feminism was just one aspect, whereas they call themselves supporters of women, they mean only if you march in lockstep with their dogma. Just as I don’t believe this girl is making a wise decision, unlike the feminists, I would not pile personal insults and hate onto her because I differ, but I actually feel bad for her, she is just a child afterall and simply misled.
