Merry Christmas to All of My Christian Friends & Readers

By Debbie Schlussel

To all of my Christian Readers & Friends, I wish you a very joyous and merry Christmas, full of family, good food, and fun. Enjoy your holiday.

Even though I believe very strongly in my own religion, I am thankful that, for now, America’s strong Christian tradition remains because it means that I will be able to practice my religion freely, G-d willing. As I’ve said so many times before, even though I do not believe in Christ, I do believe that America has resisted becoming a Muslim nation the way most of Europe has become and will ultimately be, because it has a strong Christian backbone and heritage. Even though Jews were an active part of every step of American history, from its founding to all of its battles (we fought in every one, including the Revolutionary War–American history is inextricably part of Jewish history and vice versa), and America is really a Judeo-Christian country, for all intents and purposes, it is a Christian nation (unless we continue to do nothing about the ever-increasing encroachment by Islam on our shores).

So long as we are a Christian nation–which continues to be based on its Judeo-Christian roots–and haven’t fallen to Islam in the way Europe has, I will be safe to be a Jew and will be able to freely practice my religion. Europeans have lost most vestiges of the Christian faith. Many Europeans are atheists a/k/a future Muslims. And for these reasons (as well as wimpitude, of which we in the States have our fair share), Islam is strong and growing there. Sadly, we are only a few decades behind Europe, as more and more Americans become less involved with their Christian faith and more concerned with the Kartrashians, what Angelina Palestina Jolie’s latest tattoo will be, and who’s guest-starring on “Glee.”

About 75% of Americans are still Christians, but this number is shrinking and even many of those who identify in the 75% are Christian in name only and don’t practice much of anything. While some try to erase references to Christmas in America–whether in commerce or in education, whether in Hollywood or in trying to decimate Nativity scenes at the local city hall lawn–I am not among them. I do not share your religion nor some of your religious beliefs, but I celebrate that you celebrate. Because the day that Ramadan or Eid Al-Fitr or Eid Al-Adha is a national holiday is the end of days. (That may be sooner than you think–in a few generations, if we continue to do nothing about Muslims seeping into our country and expanding their stronghold.) At least, it’s the end of days for you and me to be able to live in peace. And, sadly, we are heading there.

Even Christian America hasn’t had the necessary resistance to Islamic immigration that we need and the fight against Muslims’ refusal to be absorbed in American culture that is required to preserve our freedoms and our American way of life. Christian America has bent over backward–and forward–to the many unreasonable, unAmerican demands put forth on our society by Muslims. In that, many churches and Christian organizations have failed. They have maintained their status quo, but aren’t working on sustenance–and resistance to Islamic tyranny on our own shores–for future generations. That’s something to think about as you marvel over your Christmas tree and open your presents. Will your great-grandchildren and their children be able to do the same? Will their great-grandchildren be forced to say Midnight Mass in a basement hiding from the Mukhabarat (“Secret Police) and Mutaween (“Muslim religious police)? You are celebrating the birth of Christ today, but in future tomorrows, your progeny may all be forced to “celebrate” Ramadan and the Eids because we did not do enough to stop from becoming Eurabia, American Annex, or as I call it, “Islamerica.”

In Bethlehem, the birthplace of Christ, three out of every four residents are Muslims. The Muslim call to prayer, not prayers at the Church of the Nativity, is the loudest sound. Christians in Bethlehem is merely a business–a means to an end–for the Muslim Palestinian Authority which rules the place and which just merged with HAMAS. That could be the case in America in future generations as our Muslim population swells and non-Muslim marriages and birthrates continue their decline.

For me, a strong Christian America is a strong America where religious Jews can celebrate our religion, our Sabbath, and our holidays, including Chanukah, which we continue to celebrate as you celebrate your Christmas, today.

I wish you a wonderful holiday, full of joy, family and loved ones, friends, good health, sustenance, warmth, and shelter. And even though I do not celebrate your holiday, I appreciate the gift you give me every day: your readership (and comments and tips, too), your support, and your camaraderie in the marketplace of ideas.

Thank you and, again, Merry Christmas.

Bingo. Well said and true.

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the fields keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

That is the meaning of Christmas.

Thank you for your comments and thoughtful article. We praise G-d for the Torah and its foundational place in our nation’s ethics, morals, and laws; and are grateful for those Jews who have brought their faith to the table among our founders, defenders, leaders in business and education, and just among us as fellow-citizens. We are a wealthy people for this fellowship. As one who worships among Jews and sees Jesus (Yeshua) as Messiah, the fulfillment of-, calling to-, and embodiment of Torah among us; I wish you shalom in all its varied wealth of meaning including and beyond peace. I celebrate this as the season of His conception, and the announcement made to a young Jewish bride named Miriam – that she would deliver the Messiah the following Sukkot. However you get our Elohim, may Chanukah be a great celebration of His light and Immanuel, even as our countrymen celebrate his advent among us.

I second what the lovely Debbie said above. Should be required reading for my leftie friends at another website. You know who you are.

Merry Christmas Christian friends.

A heartfelt thank you from your Catholic Christian reader and fan. What you wrote above, however sad it may sound, but it is the truth. My generation (that includes me in my mid 30s), with the dawn of all technology, comfort, and conveniences, has distracted itself to things that matter less. It becomes very easy to forget that the path of freedom is paved with blood, sacrifices, and strong ideology. Your article, just as many other articles you’ve published, is a strong wake up call to us who are enjoying freedom in this country not to take what we experience for granted.

Well, the ‘holiday’ of Kwanza is the first step towards all of us. Kwanza is already assuming PC status, so these Muslim holidays are likely to not be far behind.

Debbie, you mention how some Christian churches and organizations have failed. I’m afraid we Jews must admit how utterly our own synagogues and organizations have failed to sound the alarm about Islam. Where are our rabbis in all this? Of course, we can expect nothing from reform and conservative “rabbis,” but we could and should expect more from Orthodox rabbis.

S: You are absolutely correct. And I think I’ve pointed that out every other day I post on this site, if I was remiss in mentioning it today. I agree with you 100%. DS

Ms. Schlussel, What are you as a jew looking for in your messiah? And what do you find lacking in the history of Jesus of Nazereth? Sincerely

Merry Christmas and Happy Chanukah to you Debbie and to all of the other non-troll commenters.

    Amen, Jarhead.

It s Happy Hanukah jarhead, there is not such thing as chanukah only for the trolls and dummies in the pc crowd,as far as Debbie’s post, she is absolutely right christianity and judaism can co exist in peace and harmony,bc neither of them seeks to destroy the other,as some other religion and cult, whose mission is not to spread love, faith and joy,but it’s very mission is to kill infidels wherever they are found…anyway Merry Christmas to all, Jesus is the reason for the season and I love my jewish friends and the ones I haven t met.

I wish you the very best on this day Debbie. The Middle East has always been a hotbed of hotheads and short tempers. Christianity developed from Judaism. Having been born into the Traditional Catholic Church in the 1950’s, I respect the old ways. What I totally disagree with in regards to the Old Church is the putting down of Judaism. G-d is the only perfect being ever.
As I have posted in earlier editorials, the Trojan Horse (Islam) is amongest us. Debbie, you have done your very best to warn us. I see the Trojan Horse all of the time and wish that I had the military training to combat it. I pray to G-d, Jesus, and the Blessed Mother for help in combating the religion of Satan. I wish that more people would join in America to burn and throw the Trojan Horse out.
Thank you for your kindness Debbie

What I wish that the Bible would teach is the complete history of mankind beginning with the mythical Atlantis and the necessity for Noah’s Ark. I also wish that the Bible taught the complete story of Jesus because much has been left out. The crucifixtion and death of Jesus is one of the greatest events of the last 10,000 years.
Only the Jewish hierarchy and the Roman soldiers were responsible for his death and I am sure that everyone of those Roman soldiers cried many tears for what they did and begged G-d for mercy.
History can be written in any way that you choose it to be written, just ask Dr. Walter Williams and Thomas DiLorenzo about the history of Lincoln. It may surprize people.

“Many Europeans atheists aka future Muslims.”

Debbie, as much I agree with everything you wrote in this article, I will have to respectfully disagree with you in that one statement that I read between the lines. People who are secular (atheist, agnostics) are very apathetic of religion/faith/spirituality, and many secular people (I happen to have a few “secular” friends on facebook and their anti-islam as myself and you Debbie) have called out islam and it’s teachings, etc., and their are dhimmi secularist who’d bend their asses backwards for islam, their the problem like all dhimmis (from any religion BTW). So I wouldn’t say that atheist and agnostics are future muslims, I disagree with you in that sentiment.

“as more and more Americans become less involved with their Christian faith and more concerend with the Kartrashians,”

To be honest with you Debbie and everybody else on this blog, I’d prefer the Kardashian’s over ultra-religious people (that includes muslim koran-thumping fanatics, and some-to-a-few bible thumping christians, etc.), and I happen to be a spiritual person who’s NOT religious, sure I’m still a god-fearing man who still reads the bible and prays. At the sametime while I’m spiritual, there are times when I’m pretty secular, so I consider myself a “spiritual-secular” person (also a non-churhgoer)!

If there has ever been a more beautiful song sung than this version of What Child is This, I’ve yet to hear it.

Merry Christmas, everyone. And prayers for Christians everywhere this weekend, especially in parts of the world where they are celebrating Christ’s birth in secrecy or with armed guards at the door for fear of their lives.

Do we need any further evidence that the religion of Peace is anything but that……

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Luke 1:30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
Luke 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
Luke 1:32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
Luke 1:33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
Luke 1:34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Debbie,
This isn’t about “Christian America”, “Jewish America”, “Atheist America” or “Islamo-fascist America”. This is about warriors and pansies. The political whores in Washington of every race and religion will happily sell our freedoms to the highest bidder. Currently, only well heeled commies (Soros) and muslims are bidding. Therefore, the whores are servicing only them.

America’s “Christian population” is shot through with cowards who, like the atheists and many American Jews, will rationalize their “conversions” to islam when faced with the “convert or die” ultimatum. That is a garbage population we will be better for having lost to their new “faith”.

Warriors don’t have the resources to buy elected whores, but they do have the training, commitment and courage to fix problems not of their making. Remember, “It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog.” This country will not go down without a fight. As a Christian, I will happily stand beside you fighting for freedom, as will many readers of this blog of all faiths. We are united by our love of freedom and our respect for each other. It is our common belief that “all men were created equal, endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights” that is the bedrock of our unity. Diversity be damned, united we will prevail.
