HUH?: Asheville, NC Residents Pay For “Holiday” Billboards Welcoming Muslims, Aliens
Who are these bleeping morons–the 250 people who paid $3,500 for “holiday” billboards welcoming Muslims and illegal aliens, er . . . “immigrants [who] make us stronger?” And let me say as you read this, “Rabbi” Eric Solomon, you do not speak for me as a Jew. Apparently the intellectually-challenged (and sanity-challenged) “rabbi” wants America to be like France, where Jews cannot walk the streets of Paris without risking kidnapping, torture, and death from Muslims a la Ilan Halimi (of Blessed Memory). True, there are Christian clerics involved in this dumb interfaith effort on behalf of lawbreakers, invaders, and jihadists. But I get especially angry when my ignorant, destructive fellow co-religionists assume the role of kapo extraordinaire.

Images of happy immigrant and Muslim families will soon flash across digital billboards around town in a campaign to promote community understanding and tolerance.
Of course, they’re happy. They know that the “understanding” and “tolerance” only goes one way–their way–and they don’t have to reciprocate.
“We wanted to build a movement and put a human face on immigration. They’re families just like us,” said Kristin Collins, director of Uniting NC, a Raleigh-based nonprofit that unveiled the billboard campaign Tuesday.
The billboards were paid for using a grassroots method called “crowdfunding.” Uniting NC proposed the project online, and more than 250 people contributed $3,500 toward the cost of buying billboards here and in Raleigh, Durham, Charlotte, Mebane and Goldsboro.
The images will run as public service advertisements later this month on digital billboards operated by Lamar Advertising on Hendersonville Road, Tunnel Road, Patton Avenue and Airport Road. The campaign will run through the end of the year.
The images feature smiling ethnic families with children with the titles “Community: We’ll Get There Together” and “Immigrants make us stronger.”
“It sounds like a good start,” said Tim Nolan, a member of Defensa Comunitaria, an immigrant advocate group in Asheville, who welcomed the billboards. “The whole problem is that people have this fear and anger and scapegoating of people they don’t really know. We all live in this community.”
Collins was excited by the crowdfunding and envisions more campaigns next year that she said would move beyond the polarized policy debate on immigration reform.
“We told people that, if they wanted to see these messages in North Carolina, they had to pitch in — and they responded,” Collins said. “It was so exciting to see that many people don’t buy into the negative rhetoric about immigrants. These billboards showcase the positive, humane voices that are not usually heard in this debate.”
Uniting NC is one of 19 state affiliates of a national movement, led by the Atlanta-based group Welcoming America, that works to build understanding between natives and new immigrants.
“We’ve watched states like Alabama and Arizona be torn apart by fear and anger about immigrants,” said Rabbi Eric Solomon of Beth Meyer Synagogue in Raleigh. “Here in North Carolina, we have an opportunity to do better than that. In this holiday season, let’s remember that when we talk about immigration, we are talking about human beings who have the same hopes and desires that any of us do.”
Solomon joined Christian and Muslim leaders at a press conference in Raleigh, publicly supporting the billboard campaign and imploring North Carolinians to “welcome the stranger” this holiday season.
It’s vermin like “Rabbi” Solomon (a Reform rabbi, which means he knows as much about Judaism as my pet rock) who breed anti-Semitism. Thanks, schmuck. If this guy chokes on an organic sweet potato basil latke, you won’t see me shedding any tears. Better yet, he’s a prime candidate for “Lunch in Tul Karem.”
Reader Duane:
They should have a billboard that reads, “Enjoy the Reconquista.”
Indeed. Though I prefer one that says, “Enjoy the Jihad, Bitch.”

Our own people (the Jews) are our worst enemies. They (reformed Jews) are killing our religion. Thanks Rabbi Solomon for welcoming more Islamic terrorist in to our states. Hashem have mercy on us.
