New Newt Gingrich Global Warming Book to be Released in 2013

By Debbie Schlussel

Flip-flop-flip.  That’s the sound of Newt Gingrich on global warming BS (and a whole lot of other issues, like Obamacare).

“It’s Hard Out There for a (Global Warming) Pimp”

Despite telling FOX News’ Bill O’Reilly that the global warming PSA he (Gingrich) did with then-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi was “one of the dumbest things I’ve done in recent years,” Gingrich will go back to endorsing the “climate change” BS . . . after the 2012 Presidential election.  Timing is everything, and Gingrich will release his latest global warming book–a sequel to his 2007 “A Contract With the Earth”–when he no longer has to face voter scrutiny.  Here are the details–sound like a conservative to you?:

Gingrich and Terry L. Maple have something of a sequel in the works to their 2007 book, “A Contract with The Earth,” tentatively titled “Environmental Entrepreneurs.” . . .

The new book is a collection of essays by various businesspeople and scientists to be edited and stitched together by Gingrich and, mostly, Maple, a former chief executive of the Palm Beach Zoo.

The author of a chapter on climate change is Katharine Hayhoe, an atmospheric scientist at Texas Tech whose work focuses on assessing the impact of climate change and communicating it to broader audiences, including those traditionally dubious of global warming, like Christian colleges.

Yup, let’s pimp the right on global warming, right? That’s the Newt philosophy.

The book “requires a good opening chapter that lays out the facts on global climate change . . .” Maple said in an email to Hayhoe in October 2007. “All that is needed from you is to provide a sense of what needs to happen. What is the window of opportunity and what does the science tell us about our chances for remediation?”

Like most climatologists, Hayhoe accepts the broad scientific consensus that the climate is changing and that humanity’s combustion of fossil fuels is the main reason for it.

Yay! Let’s see how this sells in Detroit and everywhere else where that bad ole’ human combustin’ is goin’ on.

At this pace, Maple said, his new book with Gingrich would probably be out in 2013, after the presidential election.

Like I said, timing is everything. One day, Newt’s pimping you on global warming, the next day he’s saying he made a mistake, when behind the scenes he’s editing a book promoting his initial global warming BS. Not in the White House or even with the nomination yet, and already he’s selling us out.

Hmmm . . . maybe Al Sharpton and the environmentalists can trust Newt Gingrich. We can’t.

Gingrich is a filthy politician and only cares about his career. My only question is if Soros’ slimy tentacles have reached him (or any other politician who can be bought) by way of payoffs.

The Libtards, totally impervious to the 3 years destruction that Zero is inflicting on us are in a rabid frenzy because of “eeeeeeevil republicans” and when I see sneaky BS like this, it makes me wonder IF there are ANY real Conservatives out there?

They are especially enjoying their perpetual “2 minutes hate” when Newt Gingrich is projected on the telescreen but I don’t know whether to laugh or cry when they fail to see how Liberal Newt is. It’s strange and crazy-making.

(Me, I never have believed in climate change. When Rush Limbaugh’s first book came out (was it 20 years ago?) I was still a Liberal but loved him because I met him (a friend told me how funny his show was) when he broadcasted in beantown. I read the book, he tackled the topic and I NEVER thought twice about it again. I don’t remember what he wrote but it made sense to me and that was THAT!)

Just like glenn beck and the rest of the poser conservatives. Beck makes fun of the global warming stuff on tv but in interviews with liberal print media he agrees with it. These guys flip flop for which ever audience is going to pay them the most.

Ender on December 8, 2011 at 10:48 pm

Skunky,

Would the book be “The Way Things Ought to Be”?

JeffE on December 8, 2011 at 10:53 pm

This MSM story is credible.

Is Newt really thinking of ways to confirm Debbie’s assertion that he does not deserve to be President?

If so, then it’s working.

JeffE on December 8, 2011 at 10:57 pm

Newt has become a Grade A Washington POS. The Rebublican elites have been selling the American people a bill of goods since H. W. Bush. This election is no different with Newt or Romney as the presumptive leaders. If one of these two become the candidate, America will not nor will it ever have a chance to recover from the destruction from the previous administrations.

Pats on December 8, 2011 at 10:58 pm

Hmm.. listen to a lawyer and movie critic on climate change or the majority of the scientific community who are actually qualified in the matter, and who look at evidence without thinking how it conflicts with the bible. I think I’ll go with the scientists.

Nak on December 8, 2011 at 10:58 pm

Naks back. Been a while since he stunk up the joint with his nonsense.

Yes, JeffE, that was the book and I still have it! 😀

Skunky on December 8, 2011 at 11:31 pm

By all means, go with the scientists who have been shown time and time again to be lying, misleading, and cherry picking data. That’s what the smart people do, lol.

Kevin on December 8, 2011 at 11:31 pm

So, how has the spamming been for you Nak? Also, why should we listen to you? Aside from being a troll, what qualification do you bring to the table?

Worry on December 9, 2011 at 3:12 am

You still haven’t answered why Debbie is someone you listen to on global warming, she has no credentials to back up anything she says on the matter. This is the same woman who said that the increasing records for cold weather over the last few years is proof against global warming, even though a simple search shows that cold weather is expected along with the record heat the world has been experiencing. You people really want there to be a conspiracy in all this, you just see it when there is nothing there. Maybe we can start saying that germ theory is also a conspiracy to get people to buy soap and antibiotics, I mean it is only a theory after all.

Nak on December 9, 2011 at 12:06 am

Stupid as OWS is, global warming is even worse.

Little Al on December 9, 2011 at 12:30 am

I will go with the opinion of a free thinker before I follow the “scientist” living on a government grant. More scientists are against the global warming scam everyday as more proof of the fake data keeps leaking out.

Ender on December 9, 2011 at 3:12 am

The only person worse–by far is Mittens. And the fact that no one is really attacking Romney tells me that both the elite Republicans and certainly Obama want Mittens to run. You can always tell who the establishment fears as they are savagely attacked. Wake up you fools

John Greene on December 9, 2011 at 8:01 am

Ended, could you show some proof that there are scientists every day turning their backs on global warming?

Has anyone here ever actually listened to both sides and come to their own conclusion, or just go with what Debbie says and her cherry picked information.

Also, even if global warming is indeed untrue does that mean we shouldn’t find other forms of energy that don’t pollute the environment? You people do agree that we only have a finite supply of oil and other fossil fuels right?

Nak on December 9, 2011 at 10:07 am

Nak,
Regardless if one subscribes to the theory that climate change is caused by man’s actions or not, Debbie is pointing out that Newt flip flops on his views. He called appearing with Nancy Pelosi in the global warming commercial “one of his biggest mistakes” but yet he is coming out with this book. This is why I can’t stand this guy. He tells people what they want to hear when they want to hear it.

Lisa on December 9, 2011 at 10:26 am

Conservatives have now placed all bets on Newt when Santorum should have been the guy. Newt is as bad as everyone says, and worse since he’s been joined at the hip with Islamo-promoter Norquist for decades. I honestly don’t see any difference between Newt and Obama when it comes to any of the major issues. Can someone please blow a bit of wind into Santorum’s sails before it’s too late.

adam on December 9, 2011 at 11:18 am

I’d prefer either Michelle Bachmann or Rick Santorum but conservatives have done much to trash them.

After all their swearing they won’t support another RINO, a lot of conservatives appear inclined to pick one anyway.

NormanF on December 9, 2011 at 1:40 pm

Nak, you are very wrong on all counts. For one example, there are 31,487 American scientists (9,029 w/PHD’s) who signed a petition that there is no convincing scientific evidence that human activity has any effect on the climate (http://www.petitionproject.org/).

When you squawk about the cold weather being “predicted” by global warming, you are listening to the liars on the left who always make the claims AFTER the fact saying “See!! We told you it would be cold this winter and hot this summer!!” Bullshiite! Show me the precise predictions for the climate changes for each of the next ten years and why my SUV is causing it.

There are not many scientists that actually look at the data and claim that global warming is “man-made” and dangerous UNLESS he has a financial gain involved in doing so. Period.

Dr. Michael Crichton wrote an excellent novel called “State of Fear” about the politicization of pseudo-sciences like global warming. It is a dangerous road and one that could have devastating effects on society, much the same way eugenics helped cause the holocaust.

Regardless, the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has beneficial effects for all plant life. It is NOT a pollutant. If you vehemently disagree, Nak, then do your part and quit exhaling.

Do we have a limited supply of oil and gas? I am not so sure. Decades ago, there were predictions that we would run out of alleged “fossil fuels” by now. But the supply seems as plentiful as ever. There is a theory gaining popularity about the abiogenic origin of petroleum. It is an interesting theory and, in many ways, makes more sense than the “fossil fuels” concept.

Keep your head in the sand Nak. That way you won’t be exhaling all that dangerous CO2.

PDMac60 on December 9, 2011 at 11:47 am

It looks like he’ll be the GOP nominee. I won’t vote for another lesser of two evils. Certainly not for someone who believes in the climate change scam.

NormanF on December 9, 2011 at 1:37 pm

Nak just got kicked out of his OWS tent, so he came here to stink up the place with his libtard nonsense.

Jarhead on December 9, 2011 at 8:17 pm

Michele Bachmann for president!

splined on December 10, 2011 at 10:22 am

Sounds like somebody needs to do their homework. Amazing how some ppl fall for the ‘let’s believe the lies’ cause they are too lazy to research or forgot how to critically think and separate fact from fiction. One does not make their self look to bright when they write crap like this. Sorry toots, scoring you an F for not doing your homework. Do your own thorough research like a journalist should … Best of luck to you.

Mar on December 12, 2011 at 9:36 pm

y’all must love the taste of sand — rage as much as you like, but climate change is going to seriously bite you in the _ _ _ while your head is in the sand.

Ask yourself the following questions:

1) Have I read and understood the research?
2) Have I thought about the consequences for our children if I am wrong?
3) What am I basing my rejection of this information on, exactly?
4) If I am not willing to do this, why?

But this would require some self-honesty, some responsibility.

Or you can just believe what the Texas Oil companies lobbies tell you — sure there’s no motive there.

dave on December 14, 2011 at 6:18 pm

dave,

Sorry that I’m late to respond, but I am going to make a couple of comments.

First, climate change happens frequently. When the sun goes up in the morning, it’s climate change. When the sun sets at night, it’s climate change. When the seasons change from winter to spring to fall and then back to winter, it’s climate change. Climate change happens all the time. When it stops happening, that’s when we should start to worry. Of course when you and other lefties say “climate change” you and they are using it as a code phrase for meaning man-made global warming. If this is what you mean, then why don’t you just say it? It wouldn’t happen to be becuase it’s not true, would it?

Also, you ask for research, but it should be to make a research to see as to whether this so-called “man-made global warming” does exist before we are asked to spend trillions of dollars including through sacifices for a threat that most likely doesn’t exist. And think of the consequences that our children would suffer if we spend all that money and make sacrifices for a threat that doesn’t exist.

Our you could just believe what Algore and the enviroweenies tell you–no motive there –cough cough– “Carbon credits”.

JeffE on December 26, 2011 at 5:22 pm

Debbie and kool aid drinking sheeple… “THE BOOK” is not about “global warming”….and secondly…there was a chapter in this book that was to be written by a climatologist about mans impact on earth…..thirdly…it was pulled as the “topic” is toxic. Newt has always stated that we need to be “good stewerds” of earth….his “river on fire” story will explain his stance. “Reporting” 1/2 truth distortions will cost you readers.
