I am hoping that Clarence Thomas will take the case filed by Alan Keyes against Obama to prove he is a US Citizen.
I think it is appalling that not one Secretary of State has certified him to be a US Natural born Citizen or has even seen his Birth Certificate.
I wonder if the people that voted for this charlatan are going to be happy about him not being a citizen but a Kenyan.
The DNC and Obama should be sued for trying to perpetrate a fraud on the American people.

This obviously opens a can of worms. If I remember correctly, if his mother, supposedly Stanley Ann Dunham, was a US citizen, then regardless of where he was physically born, he is automatically a US citizen. But. There is a story circulating that she may NOT have been his birth mother, but rather a foster mother. Given the current societal and governmental climate, it probably won’t make any difference. He won’t be called to account. It’s not our way anymore. No accountability/responsibility. Sad. Settle in for a rough ride, comrades.

I have a different theory. I think that a legit birth record showing Obama’s birth in Hawaii exists. However, as Obama’s attorneys on this case want their share of their client’s campaign cash. They are withholding the document. Therefore, this case, which should have been presented and decided in five minutes of court time, is being stretched out. Ca-ching!

There’s no way that Obama’s mother and father conceived him in Hawaii then travel to Kenya for his birth. As for the Kenyan admitting that Obama’s birth was in Kenya, it’s all BS. It’s just for national pride. Republican governor of Hawaii, Linda Lingle, has stated that Obama’s certificate in Hawaii is kosher.

Norman you are wrong that the Governor said anything about his birth certificate being legitimate, she said she would release it if Obama …signed the release period.
What the actual Birth Certificate attests to is still a mystery.

The Constitution of the United States of America specifies that the President of the United States must be a ‘natural born’ citizen. Barack Obama has NOT produced a certified copy of his ORIGINAL 1961 birth certificate prepared at the time of birth.
Under federal law Section 301(g) If a child born to an American and an Alien IN wedlock from 1952-1986 abroad can claim US birth if the American lived on US soil for 5 years after the age of 14 (19 years old). Barrackís mother was born 11-29-42 so she was 18 when he was born and he would be ineligible if he was born abroad.
In a nutshell, his father was a British subject when his son was born. It does not matter WHERE his son was born; his son is a British Subject, through the father.
having dual citizenship at BIRTH (if Obama jr was born in Hawaii), means he cannot be ìnatural bornî. A person needs TWO American parents and must be born ON US soil to be ìnatural bornî.
This is about him being a British Citizen ìAT BIRTHî according to his own ìStop the Smearsî Website that He himself put up.
This is about the DNC and Obama perpetrating a fraud on the American people by not vetting a candidate by being eligible to run for President.
He can solve this controversy by producing his Birth Certificate by signing the release in Hawaii.

Neither of the above are totally correct.
What is correct is that the law a the time Obama was born was that a birth mother could “transfer” US citizenship at birth even if the father was not a citizen and the child was born outside the US, but only if the mother had lived in the US for at least 5 years after the age of 14. Given that Obama’s mother was not 19 at the time of his birth, if Obama was born in Kenya he is not legally eligible to be President.
Unfortunately, unless it is overturned, based on the ruling in the Berg case no citizen can sue (due to lack of standing) to have Obama declared ineligible even if it could be proven Obama is not a citizen.

Mama Obama was an anthropologist who spent time in Hawaii after her work in Indonesia. Then she went to Washington state, when Seattle was holding a World’s Fair. Kenyans may claim an African birth, but it doesn’t fit the timeline.

A child born to a US citizen abroad is NOT automatically a US citizen. The parent had to have spent 10 years in the USA after the age of 14. As Obama’s mother was 18 at the time of the Messiah’s birth, she does not meet that test.
Why doesn’t Fox News send someone to Obama’s hometown in Kenya and ask the locals where he was born? They won’t know the significance of him not being born in the USA and would point out exactly where he was born.

I am not a Obama supporter, but this is the law. Barak Obama’s mother Stanley Ann Dunham was a US Citizen born in Ft. Levenworth, KS, which makes Barack a US Citizen regardless of where he was born. Here is the law.
“In many/most cases, a child born outside the US to a US citizen or citizens is a US citizen by birth (and, in the opinions of most legal scholars, qualifies as a “natural born” citizen eligible to become President or Vice-President).
For children born abroad since 14 November 1986 to a married couple consisting of one US citizen and one non-citizen, the American parent must have been “physically present” in the US for a total of at least five years prior to the birth of the child. Further, at least two years out of this five-year period must have been after the parent reached age 14 (e.g., no good if you lived in the US from birth till age five, then left the country never to return). From 24 December 1952 to 14 November 1986, the minimum requirement was ten years (five years of which had to have been after the parent’s 14th birthday).
The time spent in the US need not have been immediately prior to the child’s birth, and it is possible to combine multiple separate periods of physical presence in the US to reach the required figures. Additionally, time spent in US territories or possessions can be counted — as can time spent abroad in the US military, in US government employment, or as a dependent spouse or child of someone posted abroad under such circumstances.”
These rules are designed to prevent the proliferation of generation after generation of “Americans” who would be citizens by descent without ever having set foot in the US.
Different rules apply to a child born out of wedlock outside the US. If the mother of an “illegitimate” child is a US citizen, her foreign-born child is a US citizen by birth if she had ever spent at least one year’s worth of continuous literal, physical presence in the US. If the father is a US citizen (and the mother is not), the child is a US citizen only if the father’s paternity is formally established and if the father has agreed to support the child. (This more stringent requirement for an American father to pass along US citizenship to a foreign-born illegitimate son may be on shaky legal ground; see the discussions elsewhere in this FAQ of the court cases Miller v. Albright and U.S. v. Ahumada Aguilar.)
An American who has a child born outside the US should contact the nearest US embassy or consulate as soon as possible, to request an application for a Consular Report of Birth Abroad. This form needs to be filled out by both parents and returned with payment (currently US$10 or the local equivalent, money order or cash only, personal checks or credit cards not accepted) and supporting documents including parents’ birth certificates, marriage certificate, passports, and the child’s own birth certificate. For the supporting documents to be returned, you must enclose sufficient local postage for registered mail (ask the consulate for the required amount), or else bring everything in person to the consulate (in which case they will prepare the certificate while you wait; expect the process to take about an hour).
Note, once again, that a child born abroad under these circumstances is a US citizen by birth (in addition to possibly being a citizen of the country of birth). The “consular report of birth abroad” is not a bestowal of US citizenship, but simply an acknowledgment of same.
