I wonder if her Ph.D. is in Women’s Studies or Education. Those fields are notorious for lack of academic standards. It seems challenging to perform objective research concerning gossip — probably some sort of project to show that women who gossip really aren’t that bad.

Debbie, perhaps you could look into Jacob Zweig’s (z’l) stabbing death in Florida. The police and media seem to be in an awful hurry to sweep this one under the rug. I smell a big, fat rat. Let me know if you need a travel companion.
