If You’re Traveling Over the Border. . .

By Debbie Schlussel
. . . Best not to transport chocolate, rosemary, or natural soaps like Dr. Bronner’s Soap (unless you’re liberal and/or Muslim–then, bring plenty of both).
Yet another reason why organic foods and products aren’t necessarily all that.

Kind of like stopping 80-year-old grandmothers at the security lines in airports.

Ok, now this is scary! I have used Dr. Bronner’s for years in the backcountry. These were not little wussy car camping trips, but full-fledged 7-10 day backpacking trips. Doc Bronner was the first biodegradable soap we learned about in our briefings.
So, what the hell am I supposed to do for a biodegradable soap? sigh.

Debbie, I don’t have anything potentially useful or amusing to add to this post. I just want to say I’ve left the country and came back many a time, and I’ve had enough. I think I’ll just stay here.
