John Grisham Champions Illegal Aliens in Latest Crappy Novel

By Debbie Schlussel

If you don’t know by now that John Grisham’s “legal thriller” novels are liberal propaganda (as I’ve previously noted),  you haven’t been reading them and your mind is significantly less mushy and warped than those of his fans and readers.  His novel, “The Firm,” was great.  But after that, his writing was all ’bout pimping liberal politics.  Just like the hypocritical Occupy Wall Street Crowd, Grisham generally attacks the rich and corporations (except himself and his publishing companies, movie studios, and agents), and in his latest novel, “The Litigators” he’s doing that . . . and championing the cause of illegal aliens.  Of course, he and book reviewers just call ’em “immigrants,” not illegal aliens, because in Grisham’s liberal elite world, those of us who call a spade a spade are just “judgmental right wingers.” And, no worries, the illegal aliens he’s helping are just the hard-working kind being ripped off by the evil White American man, not the criminal or terrorist kind. Those–the latter–don’t exist in Grishamland.

John Grisham’s legal thrillers generally adhere to a winning formula: conflicted “little guy” takes on morally bankrupt villains, often in the guise of a heartless corporation or a government icon. Against all odds, Grisham’s modern-day Davids take on seemingly indomitable Goliaths. . . .

In Grisham’s latest, The Litigators, David Zinc, the humble protagonist, and the big pharma company he takes on fit the formula. . . .

Zinc is a burned-out thirtysomething lawyer who walks away from a lucrative position with a high-octane firm. After a one-day bender at a downtown Chicago bar, he stumbles drunk into a two-man “ham and egg” operation run by two lazy, uninspired and boring attorneys, Oscar Finley and Wally Figg. . . . Zinc somehow persuades them to hire him.

What follows is classic Grisham. The attorneys decide to jump on what they hope is a lucrative mass tort litigation bandwagon. Varrick Labs, a fictional pharmaceutical company, is their target. Its cholesterol drug Krayoxx is being blamed for numerous deaths and injuries. . . .

Zinc takes on the case of an immigrant family whose little boy has been fatally poisoned by lead paint, and he defends other immigrants who are owed wages from a local construction company.

Yay, illegal aliens! I wonder how many of them worked on construction of Grisham’s gazillion dollar mansion, taking work from Americans. Can’t wait for the movie.

John Grisham’s books are now boring, and his non-stop political pontificating is a big reason why.  Stick a fork in it.  John Grisham’s done.  His books, now, are neither thrilling nor worth the price and time to read them.  It’s no surprise that he’s given thousands in book advances and profits to liberal Democrats.

Thanks for this information Debbie, I’ll be honest with all of you, I’ve never read any of Mr. Grisham’s novels, but this latest novel of his really doesn’t surprise me the least. So far the best novel out there is this novel called “Abuse of Power” (written by conservative talk show host Michael Savage), Debbie, I recommend you purchase and read the book, it’s a good novel written by Dr. Savage!

“A nation is defined by its borders, language & culture!”

Actually, his best was his first, “A Time to Kill”. I had given up on him a long time ago.

Never read them. Always preferred Perry Mason myself.

And it’s all the more ironic because most of them can’t even read, whether in English, Spanish, or the other un-American languages that have flooded our country.

Most of his readers are women, which helps show the mistake we made almost a century ago.

I read a few of his novels, stopped reading them because I could not put up with his liberal crap. There are plenty of good books out there that are much better than his.

On another note, shouldn’t the Occupied Wall Street rename themselves to the Jacobins. It is a much better fit.

JADB – Just another douche bag.

His novels are for people who do not know the law or how law firms work. He appeals to the masses, not to lawyers who know better.

I admit I did like The Pelican Brief and The Client but after that… zzzzzzzzz. I won’t pay for his books anymore but I did check out “The Confession” from the library – talk about a piece of liberal crap. Every conservative in the book was a racist, heartless monster willing to let an innocent man be executed because he was black. That is the LAST Grisham book I will read.

A Southern Lawyer who’s not a Liberal Democratic Scumbag, a reasonable Paulbot, A Muslim Moderate, and Debbie Schussel met at a 4 way stop. There was a $20.00 bill in the middle of the road. Who picked up the Jackson?

A: Debbie. The others are mythical creatures.

Actually, I wish illegal aliens would sue their employers. If they were a lititgation risk, they wouldn’t be hired in the first place.

Thank God I have never have read any of his trash. California is close to failure because of illegal aliens for the past 30 years. Jerry Brown just passed the Dream Act for California which guarantees free higher education for all illegal aliens. He also passed a bill barring any City, County, Governmental Agency in the State from allowing contractors to use E-Verify to check immigration status. He also passed a bill barring law enforcement from impounding autos from illegals during DUI checkpoints. Grisham is just no better than low class trash, he is Millionaire Trash.

Being from Mississippi I take offense at Grisham and his bull__T novels! All of them that have been made into movies portray Mississippians as sweaty backwoods buffoons with homes devoid of air conditioning and decent furniture. Plus they all for some reason speak like Foghorn Leghorn! Grisham is a foolish hack who should be ashamed of himself and forever stay in Virginia where he now lives.

I saw the movie “The Pelican Brief” when it came out in 1993.

I thought that it was a good movie. I was in my early twenties at the time. However, I have not read either that or any other novel by Grisham. It’s good to know that I have not missed anything worthwhile.

Personally I prefer Micheal Connelly.

I had to laugh at this post. I have been amazed at the popularity of this jerk for some time now. I used to read a lot more years ago and tried to read one of his books. I just couldn’t believe how stupid and out of touch it was. I don’t even remember the title. Great minds think alike once again.

Great minds think alike….said the genius who can’t remember a book title.

I hope he (MC) doesn’t turn out to be a libtard. I doubt that he would, judging from the tenor of his books, which I recommend to Debbie’s readers.

I read the Pelican Brief many years ago & immediately concluded this was a liberal writing for the left so Hollyweird could make more propaganda films for all the lemmings out there. His writing is cartoonish, his plots so predictable, to sum up reading Grisham is a waste of time.

The recently published Theodore Boone(Kid lawyer)series is quick reading and caters to the young, like Harry Potter.

I have no problem with his books, they are very good reading. Even his Young Adult novels are a great read. So he takes the side of illegals. It is a Fictional book and not policy. I look to be entertained not to be lectured when read fictional books.

Be angry at the people who do carry out policy such as judges who pervert the law or groups who use RLUIPA to destroy communities for their own benefit at the expense of others.

I tried to read one of Grisham’s early books. I think it was The Firm. I stopped reading, in the middle of the book, because I said to myself “This guy may know inside out and backwards about being a lawyer, but he knows nothing about the realities of being a legal file clerk, paralegal or legal secretary. He’s never done his own Xeroxing. Any one of the above could have told him that the Xeroxing job he has his protagonist doing is impossible. No Xerox machine could do that amount of work in that short a period of time. It would be heating up and jamming up like cazy.”
I tried to read The Brethren and stopped when I ran into one of my pet peeve offensive stereotypes, the dumb redneck.
