Just Like Beirut: Detroitistan Welcomes Car Bomb on Major Freeway

By Debbie Schlussel

**** UPDATE: Victim identified as lawyer Eric Chappell.  More info here.  ****

I can’t wait to hear the names of the victims (and the perpetrators) of yesterday’s car bomb explosion on I-75 in the Detroit area, specifically Monroe (which is considered “downriver” to those of us who live in the Detroit area).  Watch the Detroit Newsistan video, below.  Whether or not they or the perpetrators are Muslim, it will give our adherents of the “Religion of Peace” an idea to try what they frequently try “back home” in the old country. I’ve said it a gazillion times before.  And I’ll say it again:  there is absolutely no difference between Muslims in America and those in Muslim countries.  They are merely freer to do their bidding here and take advantage of us suckers, who bend over backwards so we won’t be accused of the mythical “Islamophobia” (FYI:  a phobia is an unreasonable fear or hatred).  I’ve long believed that if Islamic terrorists wanted to cripple our system, all they need to do is set off simultaneously timed car bombs on America’s major highways.  This bomb, whether they did it or not, shows them that it will shut down highways and cripple the system.

More:

Local, state and federal authorities are investigating the detonation of a possible car bomb that hospitalized three people Tuesday evening.

The incident happened about 5:40 p.m. at East Elm and Interstate 75, Monroe police officials said in a press release.

A father and his two children were in the vehicle at the time of the incident, Michigan State police said, citing preliminary information from Monroe County authorities.

The children were flown by helicopter to St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo and were listed in serious condition, police said. The father was taken by ambulance to the hospital, police said. He also was listed in serious condition.

The victims’ injuries weren’t released.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives confirmed Wednesday morning that an explosive device was involved in the incident.

Rule of thumb: usually, people with names like Bob and Tom aren’t involved with car bombs. Just sayin’.

The victim is Erik Chappel and his two young sons.

It won’t even make national news, as the crime was most likely committed by Muzzies.

Incidentally, one of the Washington, DC school districts (most likely Montgomery County, MD) is teaching Islam in the public schools. Christmas trees and carols are still verboten, however. The indoctrination is quite heavy handed, and getting worse.

Right on JG. Getting worse and more sickening everyday

“I’ve said it a gazillion times before. And I’ll say it again: there is absolutely no difference between Muslims in America and those in Muslim countries.”

Too right, DS. Trouble is, I am NOT hearing this vital information from anyone but you these days. As stated in the thread before this one, even so called “Conservative” talk shows want to equivocate. And I blanche whenever I hear Michael Savage say “extremist Mooooooslims” because he’s been afflicted too.

The truth IS the truth. But not if certain cowed Americans have their way. Everyone is working overtime to try to believe the lie (Extremists have hi-jacked the Mooooooslim religion) in lieu of the truth. And sorry, but since 9/11, I see the TRUTH everywhere I turn. Except I am not suppose to believe it.

Skunky on September 21, 2011 at 12:54 pm

It t’weren’t Baptists or Lutherans, of that I’m certain.

Jack on September 21, 2011 at 1:02 pm

Here’s a question…Is Mr. Chappell somehow involved with the IHOP case?

cirrus1701 on September 21, 2011 at 1:03 pm

“Everyone is working overtime to try to believe the lie (Extremists have hi-jacked the Moooooslim religion)”

Skunky, I enjoy you’re sarcasm and satire when you write the word “muslim” that way, but don’t tell any of that to the dhimmi’s (from all political sides) and the muslims, they’ll think your being mean, harsh, bigoted, etc. To be honest with you all here, when I first commented on this blog nearly two years ago, I used say “yadd yadda a small percentage of muslims hi-jacked the islamic religion yadda yadda”, and some of you would write to me and say, “Sean, what the hell are you talking about, what do you mean by there religion has been hijacked by a few people?” Now I could’ve easily left this website and call Debbie and all of you crackpots, whackos, extremist, etc., but thank goodness I use alot of critical thinking and common sense. Plus Debbie is NOT an extremist, crackpot, whacko, etc. she is only giving out the whole facts of islam in general, had I not taken “critical thinking” courses when I was in High School and College, I would’ve been like some these moronic trolls who only uses their emotions and feelings instead of what the good lord gave them, a “BRAIN”!

And we all know that NOT all muslims are terrorist and support terrorism (I happen to have a muslim friend from West Africa and he’s disgusted with some to most of his fellow co-religionist doing terrorist acts and supporting terrorism, etc.), but the majority of terrorist perpatrators happen to be muslims and that’s a fact unfortuantely for dhimmi islamist-apologist out there.

    Sean, a comment.

“And we all know that NOT all muslims are terrorist and support terrorism . . . “

The issue, though, is that a majority do support terrorism, Sean. And how many who don’t support terrorism would still hide the terrorist? And, even if they wouldn’t perpetrate terror, or send in charity for this purpose, or support terror in other ways, or hide terrorists, how many would actually be proactive in pointing out the murderousness of Islam? How many would make sure that the children were not raised Muslim?

You will find a few who make it past this filter. These few end up becoming courageous atheists or convert to a real religion.

“(I happen to have a muslim friend from West Africa and he’s disgusted with some to most of his fellow co-religionist doing terrorist acts and supporting terrorism, etc.),

Is he disgusted or does he tell you that he’s disgusted?

I have one Muslim friend–not a close friend, but more than an acquaintance–who seems to be a believer, but also seems to be starting to question the orthodoxy, or so I think. But he is a rare example.

skzion on September 21, 2011 at 2:14 pm

I was raised Southern Baptist. The distinction between that denomination and Islam is that while SBs are fundamentalists, like Islam’s “fundamentalist”, Southern Baptists are not bent on ruling the world through a violent Theocracy.

Islam is not a religion. It is a theocracy. To belong to it, whatever rubric employed, is to give your consent to it’s goals, tacitly or otherwise.

To participate in a an openly declared Theocratic movement is to make you an enemy of the America of the Constitution.

      Period.

There’s so second or third answer.

Jack on September 21, 2011 at 4:28 pm

Islam is perfect monotheism but acts in pagan ways rather than according to G-d’s will. They are pagans at heart and the ethical norms of centuries of Judeo-Christian civilization remain quite alien to them.

NormanF on September 21, 2011 at 5:16 pm

“Is he disgusted or does he tell you that he’s disgusted?”

Skzion, a few years ago when my muslim friend whom I was working with as a partner for my job (we no longer work as partners, we don’t see eachother too often, but we try our best to keep in contact with eachother), he and I had a little conversation about this issue, and explained to me that he’s very pissed off and very disappointed what the islamist did to his religion. Ironically Skzion, the man (he happens to be a few years younger than Debbie) dresses very western, I never saw the guy wore the “muslim-garb” over his body, and his wife doesn’t even wear the burka or a head-scarf over her head, she to dresses western, and his three kids dresses western as well.

Also Skzion, when I was in high school in the 1990s, I had a muslim friend (I haven’t seen the guy since we graduated from HS), if you saw and met the guy, you’ll think he’s a christian and of european descent (he’s a white guy). I remember one day when me, him and a few of our other friends where talking, and one of my old friends mentioned islamist terrorist groups, and I asked the guy, “John Doe (I’m not going to mention his name), what do you think about hamas”, and he told, “Sean, hamas are f__ing assholes”! I didn’t ask him that question and tried to be a wise guy, at that time I was NOT into politics and world events, etc.

(But I agree that we shouldn’t lose patience with some of the newcomers here. After all, many of us have been there.)

skzion on September 21, 2011 at 2:16 pm

I don’t understand what the connection to this car bomb and Muslims use this method often against our troops. I guess everyone just loves to jump to conclusions. Facts are irrelevent.

lee on September 21, 2011 at 2:52 pm

Actually, it is a time honored Muslim tactic since at least the 80’s. No one is jumping to conclusions, but rather you are avoiding them in an increasingly futile exercise. It is not that others have not used car bombs in the past, but Islam has made it a standard mode of attack, whether in Tanzania or Pakistan. There are some facts for you little friend.

    Worry01 on September 21, 2011 at 3:49 pm

Lee, prove to me where Debbie said that muslims were responsible for this act? She never said such stuff, she only said, “Whether or not they or the perpetrators are Muslims, it will give our adherents of the “Religion of Peace” an idea to try what they frequently try “back home” in the old country.”. That’s what she said Lee, DS didn’t come to her conclusions and wrote, “Muslims did this car bombing”, I didn’t remember reading a line like that in this column.

specifically Monroe (which is considered “downriver” to those of us who live in the Detroit area).

Hey now… Don’t be picking on us downriver folk. 😉

We ain’t all crazy. 😀

Wow, this ain’t very far from me; I’m shock I didn’t hear about it. I’ll be linking in. 🙂

Thanks Debbie, for telling the truth.

Islamophobia was invented by International Institute for Islamic Thought, which is a MB front organization, in an effort to silence critics….

consider the following passage from Ali Mohamed (aka Ali the American) to see who we are dealing with –

Islam cannot survive in an area without political domination. Islam itself, as a religion, cannot survive. If I live in one area, we have to establish an Islamic state, because Islam without political domination cannot survive. We have what we call a dar ul harp, which is the world of war, and dar ul Islam, which is the world of Islam. Dar ul harp, the world of war, comprises all the territory that doesn’t have Islamic law. So if I live in an area of Egypt, for example, or in the Middle East, I will consider it dar ul harp. I will consider it the world of war, because actually it doesn’t apply the Islamic law one hundred percent. As a Muslim I have an obligation to change dar ul harp to dar ul Islam and establish Islamic law. It’s an obligation. It’s not a choice.

This is their thought process and until the correct officials understand this and stop cowering to the left, it is why we will continue to lose.

The “Stern Gang” (a term always used by anti-Semites instead of the Irgun) was righteous. It’s good to kill those who want to kill you. Too bad that today’s Israel lacks such Jewish values.

skzion on September 21, 2011 at 7:17 pm

Thank you for the news, Debbie.

Whether the Muslims did this terrorist attack or not, either way this is frightening for precisely the reasons that Debbie had said in this article.

JeffE on September 21, 2011 at 10:14 pm

Debbie

Thanks for pointing out that a phobia is an irrational fear of something. One can have a phobia about, say, butterflies, but not about wasps.

And we all know that NOT all muslims are terrorist and support terrorism

Sean R

While that is true, what makes it practically false are a number of factors:
Those who don’t support Jihad (since the Muslim definition of terrorism is anything that attacks them) don’t actively oppose it, or even worse, are simply passive about supporting it
Even those who are the plain Jamals who go to work & feed the kids – what they do is provide Jihadi advocacy groups like CAIR the numbers on which to claim their areas of influence. Incidentally, when such groups do this, they ignore whether their membership includes people like Ahmadiya, Bahais and so on, whereas in their countries, such groups may be persecuted as heretical
The most important aspect of this is that due to the near impossibility of distinguishing Jihadi Muslims from those not interested in Islamic domination, one can’t tell how much of the Muslim population is benign, and who they are. This is further exacerbated by the practice of taquiyya, where Muslims are allowed to lie to Infidels about their loyalties if such lies in the long run further the cause of Islam.

Let’s take the FDA. Whenever there is a case of E-Coli among certain produce, or mad-cow desease amongst certain meat, the FDA usually moves swiftly and aggressively against the offending farms. More often than not, only a small percentage of the produce from the farm in question, or the livestock in question, is affected, but the FDA doesn’t do any statistical filtering: they quarantine that entire farm, and all stores that receive that farm’s produce generally return all their produce. In other words, the action that the FDA takes is as though 100% of the food from the affected lots are unfit for consumption. Sure, this severely impacts the farms in question, but in the process of looking out for the average consumer, an assumption of ‘guilty until proven innocent’ is the norm.

The same argument would apply here. While the number of Muslims genuinely dedicated to Jihad may be 10%, 30%, 60% or 80%, fact remains that there is no reliable way of knowing. As a result, if the DHS did to Muslims what the FDA does to suspect produce, all of them would be under suspicion until the offending ones were nabbed. Unfortunately, the infiltration into both parties by tools of Muslim organizations has seen to it that no such action is ever taken.

I tried to bullet the above points. I wish HTML tags such as OL, UL, LI all worked in this site 🙁

Infidel Pride on September 22, 2011 at 3:05 am

I’m going to join skunky in using the word ‘mooooslim’ because ‘muslim’ doesn’t at all mean what the koran alleges, which is someone completely submitted to G-d. Bearing in mind that ‘allah’ is not G-d, but rather an invention by muhammed to fit into his megalomania, moooslims purport that being ‘muslim’ is to be the only truly righteous people on earth.

And we all know what allah want them to submit to doing–to US!

Having watched Ann Barnhardt’s new youtube videos about islam–it is NOT a religion–I decided to read the koran word-for-word. I chose a pdf version online so that I wouldn’t end up buying one ~ reading the lunatic hadiths after that…taking notes on all.

I agree with Barnhardt, and others such as Hitchens, that it is a jumbled, rambling mess of stolen, then perverted, ideas from other religions and pagan superstitions mixed with heapin’ helpin’s of the main ingredient–WAR–for the sole purpose of casting muhammed in the role of militant demi-god over the entire world, and for all eternity! WHEW! Can’t fault muhammed for setting too small of goals in life.

The people around him, and their descendents long after muhammed had died, actually bought into his lunacy? Well, sure, because they, too, wanted ‘divine’ carte blanche to conquer and plunder to enrich themselves. They later wrote it all down, alleging that what they threw together–like thousands of junior high book reports on muhammed’s oral tradtion (storytelling)–is the precise word of G-d spoken directly to muhammed? Ooooookay.
