Time for a New Game: Spot the Offensive Symbol on Jamie Foxx’s Surf Board

By Debbie Schlussel
TMZ says it’s a rental surf board (people rent surf boards?), but so what? If it were me, I would reject a surf board with a swastika on it. Foxx has bragged that his father is Muslim (which means by Islamic law, he is, too), and it looks to me like this surfboard has all the Muslim symbols on it–a swastika next to a Jewish star (since Muslims outrageously equate the two and like swastikas, since they–Muslims–are the new Nazis), a faux peace sign, and references to the awful “Hedwig and The Angry Inch,” a musical about a gay German eunuch transsexual. Yup, I’d definitely ask for a different surfboard and ask that this one be “retired.” Presumably, if he saw the $30.00 rental pricetag, written on it, he also saw the swastika. But took that surfboard anyway.
Apparently, Jamie Foxx doesn’t have a prob with swastikas. Remember that, the next time you think of going to his lousy movies.

So if I rented a surfboard that had the words “no niggers” on it that would be okay too? Just asking.
Debbie, have you an opinion on the fake Obama birth certificate???
[SWG: NO, IT WOULD NOT BE OKAY. THAT’S THE POINT–THAT IT WASN’T A PROB FOR HIM. WHY? DS]

Debbie: I remember when we thought such a disgusting thing could never happen again. This is brought on by the absence of civics and history in grade school and high school and an absence of parental teaching. For me, history and civics were required subjects from fourth grade through tenth and my parents made sure I understood what was being taught.

This might just be a misunderstanding everybody.
The Swastika is and has been a religious symbol for thousands of years.
In Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism it is considered an auspicious symbol that is still used today.
http://www.religionfacts.com/hinduism/symbols/swastika.htm
In fact as a Hindu American it is very upsetting that this symbol was stolen BY Adolph Hitler and the Nazi party and distorted to propagate their evil World Views.
He even has a peace symbol and the Star of David on the Board and many celebrities are into Kabbalah. As wacky as Jamie Fox may be I highly doubt he would use Nazi symbols.

Of course it’s being used in that context, Karma. The mistake you make is assuming Debbie cares.

He’s wearing all black because he’s a racist, don’t you know.

Sue Denemme on August 11, 2008 at 10:37 pm

He used to brag about not letting White people into his parties.

Sue Denemme on August 11, 2008 at 10:40 pm

Yeah he seems to be totally cool with it. It’s funny though that the nazi’s didn’t much care for the blacks either. He’s dumb enough not to know that. He isn’t dumb enough to not know the message he is sending by using that particular board. Yet another hoolywierdo I won’t be watching. Not that his shitty lil show was any good anyway.

I’m glad my life doesn’t involve people scrutinizing every single thing I do. Maybe he just really wanted to go surfing, and that was the only board left.

I’m glad my life doesn’t involve people scrutinizing every single thing I do. Maybe he just really wanted to go surfing, and that was the only board left. That seems more likely than him thinking, “Oh cool, Nazis. I definitely need this board.”

LibertarianBulbasaur on August 12, 2008 at 3:14 am

There’s nothing more irritating than people backing up the swastika as a religious symbol. The symbol has been known to the world as a symbol of hate and genocide. So unless you’re Japanese, you’re full of it, and only using the “religious symbol” tripe to excuse your desire to be ignorant and prejudiced.

CaptShady on August 12, 2008 at 9:17 am

In point of fact, the symbol in the upper left appears to be a Hawaiian, not British, flag.
[IA: I STAND CORRECTED. DS]

Well being on the left-coast there is often references to surf-nazi’s(See Fast Times at ridgemont high), as far as the Star of David on the board dont have a clue on that one.

Chiefscotty24 on August 12, 2008 at 9:31 am

Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he doesn’t KNOW what a swastika is. Call me a liberal but I believe black people have suffered enough in America without us expecting them to know anything.

Please tell me you are being sarcastic, poetcomic1.

IT is ‘Adolf’ not ‘Adolph’ Hitler.

I also see a heart, a smiley face and a strange peace symbol. any comments on that.
The reality is that yes there are a lot of people out there who draw these silly signs, and yes there is a lot of anti jew, anti black anti everything in this world. But to pay attention and to publish pictures, is to give it a voice. I believe that knowledge is power. Educate these young people, let them know that anger and hate is not going to do anything positive for them. have pity on them. If this actor hates jews, well let him, it is his loss. You would think after Mel Gibson’s life went down the drain he would realize that walking around with this garbage is probably a bad idea. But come on people, he is just an actor. He is nothing. He is not saving lives, curing cancer…just an uneducated man. Pity …it’s sad.

lalala on August 12, 2008 at 10:58 am

He would never use a Swastika on a board, but don’t be surprised if he buys his own board and puts a crescent and star on it. Total racist, typically ungrateful black “star” doing anything he can to piss off Whites and Jews, and get away with it,thanks to PC,and become a multi-millionaire,while endlessly claiming to be “oppressed” wherever he goes.
What “racism”
What “oppression”

OldSchoolW on August 12, 2008 at 12:44 pm

Well no one seems to understand that this is positively not Meant to Be the Nazi symbol. To Mr. Libertarian I am not a liberal but to say that “The World” knows this is as a symbol of hate; therefore people should not call this is a religious symbol is ignorant of facts.
Over a Billion people would consider this symbol as a religious one. What you meant is the “Western World” knows it as a symbol of hate. Budhists and Hindus would not aggree with you.
The KKK uses burning crosses to scare people they hate. That does not in any way mean that normal people can not revere the cross as a powerful symbols.
We do not have to apologize. In fact it is everyones duty to clear any misconceptions that are out there.
If this was meant to show allegiance in anyway to The National socialist party of Hitler and his cronies, I would be the first one to condemn it.

Karma on August 12, 2008 at 11:26 pm

I’d also add he can’t be too bright either.. would you knowlingly rent a surfboard that’s been duct-taped on the leading edge (presumably to cover a break in the epoxy over the foam shell?).
Can you all say “axial split” in a big breaker..
now I know what to do with the irreperably dinged boards I’ve owned over the years- rent them to racist idiots. LOL
