See, this jive turkey got into the Mayor position in a unique way. It was sorta like that scene in “Star Wars” when you had to have a direct hit to blow up the Death Star. If I recall proper, Mayor Flynn was just given the Ambassadorship to the Vatican, and when he stepped down the person who was HEAD of the Boston City Council (full of bloody Mooonbats!) gets the Mayor’s seat. And we have been stuck with this load (thanks to Boston voters) ever since.

Not only is his fat tongue too big for his mouth, his brain is full of fat as well. He’s known and (un)loved for his famous malapropisms like “An Alcatraz around his neck”, calling port-a-potty’s “pot-a-potties” (and said one time “knuckleheads” were using port-a-potty’s as “weapons”) and saying if you see anything suspicious in Boston (after 9/11) “call 9-1-1”. Thanks Mumbles. I NEVER know who to call when trouble arrives. I always thought it was “Ghostbusters” but because of your clever mind, I now know it’s friggen’ 9-1-1.

I lived in Boston in the early 1990’s, and my car was stolen 3 times. I always had to retrieve it, sans various parts, in different places. The police told me the second time that Dominicans were the likely culprits.

I am sorry you had your car stolen Debbie. I hope you found a good replacement. Of course this is not surprising in the Detroit area where crime of every description is rampant. I have had 3 friends whose cars were stolen in recent years, one while parked in plain view on the street directly in front of the Detroit Athletic Club and later found jacked up in an alley behind a police station with wheels, battery, radio and everything in the car missing. You do a great job exposing all the stupidity, incompetence, corruption and crime that has infested our society in recent years particularly among the political class. Keep up the good work.

Skunky and Jonathan Grant, I live in the New York City area, and we have our problems here in NYC and throughout New York as well. The mayor of my city (Mike Bloomberg) is such a doofus its not even funny. Last year at this time, he was in favor of backing the Mosque at Ground Zero (I know DS wasn’t too starry eyed about Ground Zero mosque, because Pam Gellar mainly led the demonstrations against it), a few years ago he violated term regulations, ie, violating the 22nd amendment by bidding for a “third-term” as mayor of New York City.

I love New York in general, but truthly, I don’t think I can take it anymore living in this city and this state. Too much taxation, I can’t afford to own my own property/house in New York (the cost of living is insane and unaffordable), the economy in New York is pathetic right now, the MTA in NYC cut a few subway and bus services (which sucks BTW) and we have illegal immigration problems as well here. It’s not just California, Florida, and Texas that has illegal alien problems.

As a Californian whose community has taken on the aspects more of Guadalajara than Los Angeles County, including trucks driving about the town proudly displaying the Mexican flag, I can tell you that what you are experiencing in Boston is just the beginning. Diane Feinstein moved her career into high gear by proclaiming San Francisco a “sanctuary city” for illegals. They and their offspring have repaid her by making her permanent California Senator and California permanently blue.

The 22nd Amendment has nothing to do with the Mayor of New York…that Amendment only applies to the President of the U.S. However, the voters of New York City instituted term limits, and the politicians ignored them. So what did the people do? RE-ELECT THE VERY POLITICIANS THAT IGNORED THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE.

Again, the people of this country have no one to blame but themselves. Today, most young people (particularly those in the baby sitting daycare centers known as colleges) are still enamored with Obama, even as 25% of college grads are unemployed. Maybe when all of their future jobs go to India and China will they wake up.

The last time I actually drove through Manhattan — this was 1988, the tail end of the Koch years — I had occasion to park my van in two separate locations that night. In each case, a burglar broken into vehicle. The first time, my CB radio disappeared; the second time, the stereo went bye-bye.

Who were the culprits? I can’t say. But somehow I’ll place a higher percentage on them being black or Hispanic crackheads than, say, elderly Jewish widows.

If this is what Mennino-era Boston has come to, God help all Red Sox fans.
