Debbie, I remember you wrote an article about Mr. Amash back a few months ago. I also remember you claiming that the Tea Partiers who embraced him wasn’t exactly aware where he stands politically. I can ask you why the TPM wasn’t aware of Amash’s politics, but I know the answer, “Grover Norquist”! DS, I know and remember you wrote some columns on this blog about Mr. Norquist, on how he has ties to islamic terrorist groups overseas, etc. (which is a fact BTW), and some to most idiotic conservatives who are apart of the TPM either is unaware of Norquist or doesn’t want to know exactly who Grover Norquist is!

Well, since I have no use for Republicans (they are weak as water) I am not shocked.

But one of these days, I would like to see Republican equal a TRUE Conservative!!

But as someone who has never been an R (I’m Independent), I will not be one soon with so-called Republicans voting for HAMAS funding, Planned Parenthood and NPR funding.

Who needs a Democrat party with these RINOS (and HAMAS lovers!!) around?

This is what someone wrote on Facebook after reading Debbie’s article:
“Justin is way more an ally than you give him credit for. … He is a very staunch Constitutionalist. He is very conservative. He strongly opposes Big Government. All of his votes and decisions are anchored in the Constitution and he explains every vote he casts in detail.

I watched his campaign very closely here and I don’t recall the “dividing Israel” issue coming up. DO you have a link for that one?

I know that he opposed the bills that defunded Planned Parenthood and NPR, but it was because those bills were improperly written; it’s unconstitutional for Congress to pass a law that approves funding for a given activity but singles out a named entity for exclusion. That is called a “Bill of Attainder” which is illegal and Justin is correct. Justin is strong Pro-Life, is opposed to abortion and is opposed to taxpayer funded public radio and offered amendments to these bills that would ban that funding completely across the board. He believes there should be NO government funding for any of that! His amendments were summarily rejected.

We have to drill down to check out the back story on this blogger’s charge, but Amash really is one of the few good guys in Congress right now.”

I would suggest that everyone do their own research before taking Debbie’s word as gospel!

The following is Ron Paul’s principled explanation (and I assume Justin Amash’s explanation also) as to why he voted against H.R. 268. This is another reminder that Ron Paul does not stand for the status quo unlike other politicians and presidential candidates:

I believe the best solution is to embrace non-interventionism, which allows those most directly involved to solve their own problems.

This resolution not only further entangles the US in the Israeli/Palestinian dispute, but it sets out the kind of outcome the United States would accept in advance. I never joined because of this fact.

To what extend Justin is “Tea Party” depends on your perspective. He is actually more Libertarian, and most of his support actually comes from “We are change” types, and Ron Paul-Adam Kokesh devotees. I have not donated money to his campaign, but I do follow his feeds on Facebook, because he discusses each vote. If you are saying that he is lying on the Facebook posts about his votes, I would like to see that. I know is the grandson of a Palestinian. I also know that Ford and the UAW types are very pro-Muslim. Given the composition and population of western MI, it was inevitable that the region would elect a person of Middle East decent. It would be better to have a person who is at least American in cultural roots than one who is an outright Arab Terrorist.

There is lies the problem; it isn’t so much this Congressman, but a population in which a pro-Palestinian can be elected. The real issue that has to be addressed is changing that population. Perhaps Terry Jones’ efforts will begin to bear fruit.
