Well, who didn’t see this coming? It’s all in keeping with his outreach not just to the general Muslim world but specifically to the Muslim Brotherhood.

In 2009, Obama specifically insisted that the Muslim Brotherhood not be excluded from his Cairo speech. That same year, Sec’y Clinton lifted the ban on Tariq Ramadan, grandson of the founder of the Brotherhood, Hassan al’ Banna. (He’s now teaching in the US.) Obama appointed an emissary to the OIC, and a number of individuals with links to Brotherhood fronts in the US to posts in the White House and Homeland Security. Heck, Clinton’s Deputy Chief of Staff has family links to the Brotherhood.

The next thing to look forward to is an open call to reach out to “moderate” elements in Hamas and Hizbullah. It’s happened already on the QT, but soon they’ll be up front about it.

Jarhead, you where here when DS criticized Bush for his islamopandering during his eight years in office and Bush to claimed the samething that Obama said regarding towards islam. And whoever thinks that the taliban is pro-human rights better get their heads examine, because last I checked the taliban are anything but pro-human rights, there just as bad and disgusting as hamas, hezbollah, al-quiada, etc.

As far as I am concerned the American people forfeited the right to vote for President in the last election. The founding fathers did not trust the American people with such an important decision (The same for choosing Senators) so they left it up to each state legislature to determine the selection of Presidential electors. It turned out that each state legislature allows the people living in each state to have a vote.

It is not like no one knew this sort of thing was possible. Based on Obama’s background (including 20 years in that church), his friends, those he chose to advise him and other factors predicting something like this was not brain surgery. Only someone who lacks the understanding of who a President should be could ever even think of voting for Obama. That should disqualify anyone who would vote for Obama from even having a vote. Yet most people, including over 70% of Jews, voted for Obama.

Unfortunately the state legislatures will not have the guts to do the right think and take the vote away from the irresponsible public.

I believe we have been a curse to the seed of Abraham and as a result are being forced from our homes by nature with floods, tornadoes, drought and wildfires. The longer this guy occupies the White House, the worse it is going to get. God will not stand idly by while we make nice with the enemies of Israel. I didn’t have a whole lot of love for George W. Bush, but the day he left the White House was one of the saddest days of my life because I knew the new guy was nothing but trouble for our nation.

By the way: in 1979, when I was tested, my ACT was 33, and my SAT was 1420. I received about $33,000 in scholarships, including a free tuition ride to TCU. I was accepted to two US Medical schools on the first go-around. Paul’s brain impresses me not, and neither do yours.

My MCAT score to get accepted to Medical school was higher than the average at Harvard: 68. I passed my Psychiatry Specialty Boards the first time (the pass rate was 50% for both written and verbal subsections independently), and reboarded in 2005 with one of the highest scores in the Country, a 92% on an exam curved 3 points—the lowest grade was 67%.

I think Skunky’s much brighter than you.

Don’t be too sure about Obama losing. One reason is the Dems fight harder than the Republicans for their issues. There’s a huge population of victims that will vote for him, and a lot of people have the perception he’s good on foreign policy.

But the main problem is the lackluster Republicans who will hardly fight on anything. They even agree with him on cutting defense. And many agree with him on health care. So while I don’t support Obama, I don’t think we can underestimate him or overestimate the Republicans.

The best ticket from a consultant’s perspective would be Pawlenty-Rubio, Pawlenty-McDonnell, or Pawlenty-Nikki Haley. The Republican candidate is going to have to make big inroads in the Midwest (Indiana and Ohio plus either Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, or Michigan) and the Southeast (Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia). Have to hope that New Hampshire goes, as well.

Debbie would vote for Palin? I can’t fault her logic, but I don’t think it will be necessary. Romney is going to be the nominee. If Michelle Bachman starts getting to much attention THEN Palin and Rick Perry jump into the race. Romney automatically gets about thirty-five percent, who are mostly the moderate, blue-blood, establishment types. Palin and Perry siphon off votes from Bachman the same way Huckabee and Thompson siphoned off votes that could have posed a threat to the blue-bloods’ beloved McCain. Perry gets on ticket as VP nominee for his compliance. Conservatives told to “fall in line” behind Romney after South Carolina or Florida primary, just like we were told to fall in line behind McCain in 2008.
