I find it rather amusing that a rabid anti-Semite took aim at not only you, but AIPAC as well. After all, you’re one of AIPAC’s bigger critics.
It only goes to show how genuinely unfair anti-Semites are. In their minds, they start with “I hate Jews” and rationalize backwards from there. Some of them can be quite “politically correct” sounding.
In this case, your critic clearly didn’t do his/her homework. Anyone who knows you knows that you’re NOT a fan of AIPAC by any means and branding you an “aipac whore” is merely another fine example of the backward rationalization anti-Semites use.
BTW Debbie, every now and then, I get juicy comments like this sent to me. I have always done my best to speak frankly, firmly and exercise patience. There are many good reasons for opposing not the ouster of Saddam, but the current nation-building project in Iraq at the expense of Americans in a floundering economy (please spare us the BS about what technically constitutes a recession). Not only do we stop pouring hundreds of billions of $$$ down the drain for people (I use the term loosely) who loathe us – our presence is no longer a distraction for our enemies who are now free to slaughter each other. I’ve never understood why, say, al Qaeda, Ikhwan and Saudi jihadis pouring into al Anbar to get to Sadr city and ultimately battle Moqtada al Sadr is a bad thing for INFIDELS. Does anybody remember whether the official US policy was during the 80’s Ira (Iran vs Iraq) war? If it wasn’t a bad thing then, why is this potential Alien vs Predator (thanks Debbie) scenario so unthinkable now? Get our troops out, and let them go at each other.
Note that we won’t have a dog in this fight. The only dog we’ll have here is the fight in and of itself.
Keep feeding that dog.
