US’ Mid-East Envoy Tony Blair: “I Read the Koran Every Day”
Remember Tony Blair as George W. Bush’s hand-picked pan-Arabist, pan-Muslim Middle East “peace” envoy? He was totally one sided. And his side was anyone and everyone who is against Israel . . . you know, the same Muslims that own half of his country. And then there’s his sister-in-law, Lauren Booth, who converted to Islam (after visiting Iran!) and regularly helps HAMAS in its efforts and propaganda against Israel. Unfortunately, after Bush appointed him as an envoy, Barack Obama kept him on, and he’s now the envoy for the “quartet”–the U.S., U.N., Europe, and Russian. And, now, there’s a new reason Tony Blair can’t be–and never should have been–taken seriously on anything regarding the Middle East: he reads the Koran, daily.
Tony Blair: Reading the Koran Daily Doesn’t Help w/ Dental Work OR Mid-East Peace
His chief spin doctor Alastair Campbell famously comment[ed]: ‘We don’t do God.’ . . . But since leaving Downing Street in 2007 . . . Mr Blair . . . has now spoken of how he reads the Koran every day.
Reading the Islamic religion’s holy book – considered by Muslims to be the exact words of God – ensured he remained ‘faith-literate’, the former Labour leader said.
In an interview with the Observer magazine, published yesterday he said: ‘To be faith-literate is crucial in a globalised world, I believe.
‘I read the Qur’an [Koran] every day. Partly to understand some of the things happening in the world, but mainly just because it is immensely instructive.
Mr Blair believes that a knowledge of the faith informs his current role as Middle East envoy for the Quartet of the United Nations, United States, European Union and Russia.’
Uh, if he truly wanted to be “faith literate” about Islam, he’d also read the Hadith daily. The Hadith, said to be the words of Mohammed and which are as binding on Muslims as the Koran. You know, the Hadith, which tell Muslims that there are Jews hiding behind trees and that it is every Muslims’ duty to kill Jews. Or the fatwahs–the binding religious edicts that often instruct executions and beheadings for sex or stealing or a servant’s hand accidentally grazing the master’s wife #3’s hand while serving dinner. And other such gems of peacefulness that dominate that religion.
But, no worries, Tony Blair’s really not interested one iota in being “faith literate.” Nope. The main thing on his agenda is to bend over for the Muslim world and force Israel be the condom.
The former PM’s work, which has cost British taxpayers more than £2million [DS: About $3 million in US Dollars], aims to help resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
And as the execrable Dr. Phil would say, “An’ howzzz that workin’ for ya?”
Well, he’s been an envoy for Mid-East peace for four years. And in four years, we’ve had non-stop HAMAS rocket attacks on Israel, the Flotilla, the merger of Fatah with HAMAS, Egypt throwing overboard–with Obama’s urging and help–a pro-Western leader and replacing him with the men who helped unite the greater HAMAS and open its borders to HAMAS weaponry. Oh, and the Fogel Family massacre at the hands of Palestinians, as well as many other targeted killings of innocent Israeli civilians at the hands of Islamic terrorist groups.
I’d say Tony Blair’s reading of the Koran has achieved as much killing of Westerners as flushing the Koran down the toilet and/or burning it have. You keep readin’, Tony. Question is, have you already said the Shehadah [Islamic oath of martyrdom, which is what a person says to instantly convert to Islam].
Still miss Bush? Tony Koran Blair was his guy.

Thus we have a partial understanding of some Briton’s ambivalence towards Israel’s existence-survival.
It seems kinda odd to me that GB policy has been so anti-Israel. Maybe it’s just the oil thing?
