Power Outage

By Debbie Schlussel
I had a power outage here for most of the day, and I had a choice: Go to a wireless place and write/post from my laptop . . . or go to the gym to work out. I chose the latter. Sorry, guys. Stuff happens.
But I will post more later on. Stay tuned.
Oh, and when my power suddenly went out, I was in the middle of typing my review of “Hags and the City,” er “Sex and the City.” Will have to rewrite the whole thing, which won’t be difficult. Like I said, stay tuned.

I don’t know how feasible this would be for you, but for some people, home health equipment is a good option; large initial expenditure, but making it up over time, saving gas money & traveling time. Things like treadmills or exercise bikes & hand weights.

Miss Schlussel,
I am sure there was a reasonable explanation for your power outage earlier today. However, may I suggest some other explanations for the all the conspiracy theorists out there?
1st- Divine intervention: The Almighty does not want you to sully your website with any reference to the new film, “Sluts in the City”. G_d was willing to pull the plug on your internet service in order to prevent any mention of that abomination. Stop now or risk the same fate as Lot’s wife or, even worse, be sentenced to watch re-runs of the TV version for eternity!
2nd- Islamic explanation: Anyone familiar with the typical response by Mohamedans to any problem that arises, there can only be one reason this happened. That’s right, THE JOOOOOZ DID IT! However, the fact that you are Jewish leads one to the obvious conclusion: YOU WERE INVOLVED IN A NEFARIOUS PLOT TO SABOTAGE YOUR OWN INTERNET! Obviously you had help from the Mossad, the Freemasons and the Illuminati but you were still the ringleader. Therefore, punish yourself accordingly.
Hope you’re back on-line ASAP.

Your’s went out too!
These outages are irritating at best. We actually had a power bill back in the summer of 2001 that was $2!
Seriously; $2!!!

Debbie – Your site alerted me to the Lincoln – The Presidential Archives (DK) late last year, so I think you will understand my amusement with McClellan’s new book, since history seems to repeat:
Recall that during the Civil War, a previous McClellan also failed to maintain the trust of Lincoln, and was frustratingly insubordinate to the President. When he was finally fired, McClellan became the unsuccessful Democratic nominee opposing Lincoln in the 1864 presidential election. His party had an anti-war platform, promising to end the war and negotiate with the Confederacy.
There is not space here to review the Democrat-Copperhead connections and parallels….
