Hilarious Video of the Day: Congresswoman Gets Down to the Really Important Business of the Day

By Debbie Schlussel
Congresswoman Sue Myrick really knows what’s important in this day and age of Islamic terrorism, 20 million illegal aliens, mass home foreclosures, etc. Watch this really short video (1 minute, 20 secs) of her tribute to an important “statesman” constituent of hers. You have to watch until the very end to hear her very stateswomanlike special effect sound.
Oh, and one other thing: She’s honoring this guy for his gazillion championships in an industry that is, well, . . . doesn’t she know that it’s fixed?:

Nature Boy.
UPDATE: To be fair to Sue Myrick, she is one of the few Congresspeople who truly gets it on radical Islam. Still this video is inane.

She isn’t very impressive in her video, but just skimming her website, it looks like she is one of the better reps in Congress. Her website indicates she wants border enforcement first, although I realize there is all kinds of wiggle room there.

Well, I’m biased here since I’ve been a pro-wrestling fan since the 60’s but a one-minute tribute to Ric Flair, one of her constituents and a close friend from what I am told, isn’t surprising. I thought her tribute read into the Congressional records was a nice gesture on her part. I remember reading that Flair had helped her with some fundraising efforts.
Also I did note how she worded the reference to Flair’s championships (“named a record 16-time world champion”) implies she knows the kayfabe nature of the business. Besides, kayfabe’s been dead since Vinnie McMahon had to testify concerning steroids several years ago and admitted to the world that pro wrestling was indeed scripted. Of course by that time it burst the bubble of about, oh…let’s say maybe 5% of the fan base.
Flair (real name Richard Morgan Fliehr) is said to be considering political office of some sort, perhaps Congressional.
Anyway, that’s my two-cents worth.

F me. Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Marina (Hotforwords) would make a better U.S. Representative or Senator than 90% of those in Congress now. Houston, we got a BIG problemo aqui!

I have to say my part…As a lifelong fan of “The Naitch,” I rather enjoyed the speech. However, I also know that Ric Flair is a big source of benevolent actions in the Charlotte/Mecklenburg County, NC area. I have family there and during prior visits I saw his acts of kindness numerous times. He is loved in the area…”To the be The Man, You gotta beat The Man!”

Um… ok.

Debbie….it’s RIC FREAKING FLAIR! Whoooooooooooo!! The man may not wrestle anymore, but he’s still riding them limos, flying them jets like a son of a gun!!
So of course I enjoyed this video. With Backlash coming to Baltimore in 2 weeks and my ticket already purchased for it….this was a mark out moment for me.

Just noticed in the NY Sun this morning that Sue Myrick is also urging that Carter’s passport be revoked.

Even though I understand the point my sweetie Deb, just this one time I have to make an exception.
This is The Nature Boy!!!!!! The kiss stealing, wheeling dealing, limousine riding, jet flying, son of a gun…..WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
This is The Man who founded the Four Horseman (no, not those Notre Lame phonies). This is the man who has the famous Ric Flair Flop (gets hit numerous times and does a face forward flop on the canvas). Mr. Space Mountain……
Diamonds are forever and so is Ric Flair…WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

I guess she’s showing her base that she’s cool or something. She is getting a bit more face time for doing this speech than any of her other congress people. Whatever.

B”H Squirrel3D beat me to it. I like her idea of revoking JC’s passport. Oh well, no one’s perfect.
