Islamic Minnesota Charter School is Sponsored by Al-Qaeda/HAMAS Charity

By Debbie Schlussel
For months, many readers from Minnesota have contacted me about the Muslim Minnesota charter school–the Tarek Ibn Ziyad Academy (TIZA) funded by tax dollars, and paraded as a non-religious school. But, in fact, the school violates the separation between church and state extensively, as reported by the primary voice of vigilance against Sharia Islamic law in Minnesota, columnist Katherine Kersten. (She’s the sharp woman who’s been on top of Target kowtowing to Muslim cashiers who won’t ring up pork, Muslim cabbies refusing fares with alcohol and guide dogs for the blind at the airport, etc.)

The problem is, the separation between church and state apparently doesn’t apply to mosque and state. Anything goes with Islam and the usual separations don’t apply, and the ACLU and federal and state governments deliberately turn a blind eye. Kersten’s description of what goes on at the “non-Muslim” Muslim charter school is no surprise to me. We have similar Muslim charter schools in Michigan and Ohio. And, as with most charter schools, the tax dollars flow in, but not the oversight. Small, obscure colleges from far away are in charge of overseeing the schools in Michigan. And they don’t do the job, while Islam dominates the “education” at these madrassahs, er . . . “schools.”
Supposedly, TIZA is a “model” for a national plan of Islamic schools. But, that’s not a “supposedly.” That is the plan and we’re already there. These schools have cropped up all over, and you’re paying for them, while you are not allowed to have your tax dollars go to Christian or Jewish academies.
And in Minneapolis, it’s even worse. Kersten says that the sponsoring organization of the “non-Muslim” Muslim charter school is Islamic Relief. Readers will remember my extensive piece on Islamic Relief a/k/a Islamic Relief-Worldwide, and how it is a HAMAS charity and has gotten over $20 million in goods from the Mormon Church–the Latter Day Saints Church. Islamic Relief was also identified by the Treasury Department as an Al-Qaeda front group. As I wrote, a 2004 Islamic Relief fundraiser I attended glorified beheadings of Americans in the Muslim world and was depicted in a nauseating “dance” skit performed by a Muslim dance troupe of young boys.

This Equals This

The fact that a Muslim Brotherhood/Al-Qaeda charity whose HAMAS employees were kicked out of Israel for funding and enabling terrorists is sponsoring a tax-funded “public” charter school in Minnesota should tell you all you need to know. That’s aside from the Islamic religious practices Ms. Kersten details in her disturbing, but not at all surprising, column.
Wake Up, America!

the article says that the dept of ed is set up to operate on a complaint basis and they haven’t investigated because they haven’t gotten complaints. Maybe we should all complain!!!

I’m curious about that photo…the books are all Langenscheidt’s and all appear to be in German. Is that photo sourced to Minnesota or a Turkish school in Germany? If it’s in Minnesota, why would they be using German language books?
[SR: YOU ARE CORRECT. I’VE CHANGED IT TO A PIC FROM THE ACTUAL SCHOOL. DS]

if i had to guess, debbie used that photo as an example of a muslim school but not necessarily the one in MN

Just was curious…with what goes on there, nothing would have surprised me.

what I don’t get is why should tax money go to this? why not have it sponsored by the charity, and call it a private school?

mindy1 on April 9, 2008 at 3:02 pm

why tax $$? because it’s the mission to specifically NOT have separation of church and state but rather for the two to be one.

Unless someone has hard proof that these Arabic academies are in fact teaching Islam, there’s no comparison between publicly funding these academies and Christian ones since one is about language and culture, the other is about religion.

Most states have charter school laws in order to promote diversity and improvement in the public school system. In a nutshell it’s about a steady flow of money for the founders of a charter school. The founders provide the state government a service and at the same time they don’t have to worry so much about expenses or making a profit. If the founders go private, they have the potential to make more profit and have to worry less about regulation; however ,of course, there’s no guarantee a private school is going to make enough money to survive or be profitable.

We have some of these terrorist training academies here in Cleveland, also.

Where’s the commie-staffed ACLU?!
Where’s the Southern Poverty Law Center?!
Where’s the LIBERAL media?!
Where’s Dan Blather and Puke Donahue?!
Can anyone spell: H-Y-P-O-C-R-I-T-E-S?
Can anyone spell: D-U-P-L-I-C-I-T-Y?
Can anyone see the aforementioned’s true agenda?

The University of Minnesota gets tax money and has now aproved “muslim women only” hours for swimming pool usage.

BTW, regarding this practice, “Muslim cabbies refusing fares with guide dogs for the blind at the airport”, did y’all know there’s absolutely nothing in the Quran that would support Muslims saying that dogs are forbidden in Islam??
It’s purely a cultural thing that they pass off as being based in their religion. They should be called on it.

Why are we always on the defensive these days?
Christian and Jewish school organizers should be planning right now to open as many schools as possible in Minnesota and applying for the same taxpayer aid that Muslim schools are receiving.
It’s time for a government showdown on this spreading of sharia in America. Either taxpayer funds will be cut off to Islamic schools, or ALL religious groups will be afforded the same taxpayer money for their schools and offset the indoctrination of hate that is disguised as classroom teaching in Islamic schools.
Let’s take advantage of the situation, get on the offensive and JUST DO IT !!!!!!
