Alien v. Predator, Bahrain Sunni v. Shi’ite MPs Edition

By Debbie Schlussel

As I’ve noted before, it’s in America’s best interest that the stable dictatorships and monarchies of the Middle East stay in power versus the democratically elected extremist mobs of pan-terrorist savages on the Arab Street. And, of course, I side with the hypocritical, anti-Israel Sunni Bahraini royals, the Khalifa Family, against the even worse Iran-backed Shi’ite animals that populate the place. However, add this to the feuds I love that I wish would never end and that both sides would lose. You know that Muslims trying and deporting Muslims never really makes the official outrage list of Westerners and the Western media because it’s not Israelis or Jews doing it. Whenever Israel tries to lift a finger against Azmi Bishara and other past and current anti-Israel/pro-HAMAS/Hezbollah Members of Knesset, it’s as if Israel committed a Holocaust.

Alien v. Predator: Bahrain’s Sunni Al-Khalifa Family Royals v. Bahrain’s Iranian-Backed Shi’ite Parliament

But this is how Muslims treat Muslims. And, per usual, I say, let allah sort it out while we watch from the coliseum. We’ve already made enough of a mess by sending thousands of American boys to their deaths to hand Iraq from the Sunnis to the Iran-backed Shi’ites. We can ill-afford to see the Shi’ite crescent stretch further into the Gulf. So if we must side with anyone, it’s the Sunni Khalifas ruling the place. Sadly, the Obama doctrine of helping Muslims least favorable to America seems to be winning out. That’s why I support what the Al-Khalifa clan is doing to their Iranian-allied countrymen. The last thing we need is for Bahrain to become Hezbollah Fantasy Island of the Gulf.

The kingdom’s parliament effectively stripped 11 MPs from the Wefaq party – a quarter of the legislature’s sitting members – of their immunity from prosecution, signalling [DS: sic] a further hardening of the ruling family’s position.

Western human rights activists also accused the regime of torturing wounded protesters being held in a hospital in the capital Manama.

Bahrain has declared martial law and called in troops from Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states to quell protests that have left at least 24 people dead.

And here’s the money quote:

Saudi officials say they gave their backing to Western air strikes on Libya in exchange for the United States muting its criticism of the authorities in Bahrain, a close ally of the desert kingdom.

Ali Salman, the Shiite opposition head has warned Iran and Saudi Arabia against using his country as a “battlefield” in a proxy war.

Yup, “principled” Obama crying crocodile tears over the “legitimate aspirations of the Libyan people” is a hypocrite, who doesn’t actually care about legitimacy or aspirations of anyone unless they are allied with Al-Qaeda, HAMAS, or Iran.

What Salman warns against is exactly what his Shi’ites are already doing and the Sunnis must respond or we’ll soon be seeing $6 and $7 a gallon oil when the Shi’ites take over and yet another oil producing country is controlled by radical Muslim nutjobs.

Reader Worry01:

I would agree (with what they are doing). If these (Shi’ite) legislators are acting at the behest of Iran, they are guilty of treason. Ali Salman is running scared now. Bahrain needs to get on top of this situation unless it desires to be an Iranian satellite.

Exactly. Salman is an agent of Iran, plain and simple. This is why I applauded when the UAE’s Sharjah deported its Shi’ite Muslims a couple of years ago, to avoid what’s going on in the Bahraini streets, today.

Still, if Bahrain’s Al-Khalifas were smarter, they would have let Princess Meriam stay married to U.S. Marine Jason Johnson, to solidify the deal.  Remember this?

The sheer incompetence of our “Boy Wonder” President in dealing with the Arab Spring (really Nightmare) could well lead to two contentious and equally dangerous camps:

The extremist Shiite Crescent – Iran, Bahrain, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon (yes, I know Syria isn’t really Shiite)
The extremist Sunni Crescent – Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Northern Sudan, Yemen, Saudi Arabia and possibly Jordan

Turkey has its feet in both camps. And caught in the middle: Israel

Thanks Ray!

I have to tackle the difference between the Shiite and the Sunni and your post was a good starting point.

And from what it looks like, the Wahhabi strain as pushed by Saudi Arabia emanates from the “Sunni Crescent,” wouldn’t that be correct?

The Khalifa family is to be preferred to the extremist Shiite Islamists backed by Iran who hate us more. The King knows their demands are not really about democracy.

Is losing the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet base in a strategically important Middle East country worth giving Iran a toehold on the Arabian peninsula?

The Saudis know the answer to that question, which is why they intervened. Reform in societies like this is a long process. And you can’t just hand over a country to a mob.

If we had the smarts, we’d have been pressing Mubarak to hold on and we’d be basing our position on the need to repress Islamism violently. Such a totalitarian ideology only promises more danger and strife in the Middle East as well as in the rest of the world.

I’m w/ you in wanting these fights not to end, but I have a different take on it. I’d like the Khilafas in Bahrein to be ousted and the Shia to take over, so that it creates a Shia-Sunni balance in the Arabian peninsula and makes it less likely that either side can defeat the other. Similarly, I don’t like Hizbullahis being kicked out of there, since that means sending them back to Lebanon, where they are free to attack Israel. On the contrary, I’d like all Hizbullahis & Lebanese Shia to leave Lebanon and do the other things they are doing – like having their fighters crack down on Syrian Sunni protesters, having their other activists in Bahrein, Saudi Arabia, UAE & Yemen encouraging rebellion.

If Bahrein gets a Shia regime (like Iraq) and the Shia of Saudi’s al-Hasa province (which is also their major oil province) revolt, all of the Sunnis in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and UAE will be too busy battling that and not have any time or money to promote Islam in other places in the world. Bahrein having a Shia regime would ensure that such a conflict wouldn’t end either. If all the terrorists of Hizbullah had to go to Saudi Arabia & Syria, and the Sunnis had to call in Hamas, Fatah & others, nothing would be better – they can kill each other all day long in Saudi Arabia, while giving Israel a respite.

I say – let Bahrein fall, and let there be all out civil war in Saudi Arabia & UAE

The muslim way…

1) murder all the Jews on the planet… then, when no Jews left:

2) murder all the Christians… then

3) murder all the Hindus.

4) murder all the Bhuddists

5) murder all the practitioners of any other religions

6) murder all the atheists

7) when the only people left on the planet are people who have declared themselves muslims, they will have to fight amongst themselves to murder all those who are not of the same “strain”, i.e. sunni vs. shee-it vs. wahabbist vs. salafi vs. etc. etc.

8) ultimately, some muslim will “push the button” to finish the job, murdering all remaining life on earth.

9) peace finally reigns over planet earth.

You people are sick. I strongly recommend that you go see a doctor. For most of the cases ignorance is directly associated with illiteracy and lack of exposure to different idea in the word. The cure for this ignorance (yes it is a disease) is learning, travelling and better understanding. It is obvious in most of your cases this ignorance is more entrenched and will need some sort of surgery to you people cured.
The biggest threat to our society are not people living thousands for miles away, on the contrary, it is people like you living amongst us and promoting these fascist ideas. You just have to look at recent history to see who paid the most for Hitler’s, Mussolini’s and Stalin’s sick ideology: It was their own people.
