Stop Donating!: Largest Jewish Organizations Enable Islamic Terrorist Group

By Debbie Schlussel
Although the readership of this site is a good mix of people from all walks of life and religions, enough of them are Jews and enough Gentile are those who, unfortunately, look to Jews for the final say on which Muslims are acceptable.
This story is an example of the lessons that need to be learned by both these groups. Jewish students from the University of Michigan are legitimizing the Muslim Students Association (MSA), which the Chicago Tribune identified as a vital part of the Muslim Brotherhood (Al-Ikhwan Al-Muslimeen) terrorist group’s manifestation in America.
The Jewish students in this story–at the direction of University of Michigan Hillel executive director, Michael Brooks, and its rabbi, Rabbi Nathan Martin–are heading with MSA’s Muslim students to New Orleans on a joint Jewish-Muslim Hurricane Katrina relief effort.

hillelmuslimtrip.jpg

Benedict Arnold-owitzes: U-M Hillel Rabbi Nathan Martin and Fellow Radical Jew Erica Wedes with Muslima Mariem Qamruzzaman

Not only are the Muslim students part of the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist group’s operation in America, but they openly support HAMAS, Hezbollah, and other Islamic terrorist groups who’ve murdered thousands of Americans and Jews worldwide. And the parent organization, the Muslim Brotherhood, is the group from which HAMAS, Yasser Arafat, Al Qaeda, and Ayman Al-Zawahiri all emanated.
And the trip is a joint effort with Imam Mohammed Mardini of the American Muslim Center of Dearbornistan. An extremist and fervent ally of HAMAS and Hezbollah, He was a vocal part of CAIR-Michigan events which I attended undercover (CAIR was repeatedly identified by several FBI officials and in a recent court-filing as a HAMAS front group).
If you are a Jew who donates to the “Allied Jewish Campaign, the “Jewish Federation,” the “United Jewish Communities,” “the University of Michigan and/or “B’nai Brith Hillel Foundation,” you are enabling these terrorists because all of these organizations donated money and support to this propaganda effort to legitimize extremist Muslims who support murderers of Americans and Jews by giving them the kosher seal of approval.
According to The Detroit Newsistan and its resident pan-Islamist propagandist Gregg Krupa:

Along the way, they are trying to raise money for the trip. They have received support from the Jewish Federation of Detroit, the Jewish Community Relations Council, the Muslim Student Association, the Jewish student organization Hillel and the American Muslim Center in Dearborn.
Rabbi Nathan Martin of Hillel in Ann Arbor strongly encouraged the students to participate in work in New Orleans, and Imam Mohamad Mardini of the American Muslim Center, a mosque in Dearborn, also will travel with the students and participate.

For the purposes of this story, you need to know that Jewish Federation a/k/a United Jewish Communities a/k/a Allied Jewish Campaign is the unrepresentative, self-appointed establishment and spokesman for Jewish communities in most major cities across North America. With billions of dollars, it is also the largest and most powerful. In most cases, a fraternity and sisterhood of wealthy left-wing Jews appoint themselves and their friends to run these organizations in each major city. It is also, at least in Detroit, a bloated bureaucracy with hundreds of employees and programs.
For the purposes of this story, you also need to know that Hillel is the national Jewish organization that is the self-appointed community for Jewish students on college campuses across America. It gets millions of dollars from Jewish donors nationwide and is more powerful than any other Jewish group on most college campuses. That power, though, is fading, as Hillel continues its far-left emphasis on reaching out to extremist Muslims, rather than focusing on Jewish religious and communal life, and as it continues to harass and persecute Jewish students who challenge that focus. (I know this personally, because as a University of Michigan student, I watched as far-left University of Michigan Hillel executive director Brooks persecuted and harassed me and almost two decades later, did the same to pro-Israel students on campus who invited me to speak.)
This is not the first time Michael Brooks has pulled this kind of baloney. A couple of years ago, he wanted to turn the University of Michigan Hillel foundation building into a mosque. He invited the Muslim Students Association, which needed a place to pray, to hold their regular prayers at Hillel. When Jewish students and major donors–including Mandell Berman, the Jewish philanthropist whose name sits atop the building and who donated most of the funds to build it–protested, Brooks was forced to give up on the idea. Or did he?
The Detroit Newsistan reports:

The students often pray together, and they will visit two synagogues and a mosque in New Orleans, and witness a bar mitzvah and Shabbat (Sabbath) services. They often begin meetings by gathering in pairs, a Muslim with a Jew, to talk and reflect about events in their lives since their last meeting.

Where, exactly, are they “praying together”? I’ll tell you where: inside the Hillel Building. That’s also where the joint extremist Muslim/Jewish trip to New Orleans originated and the address to which the solicited funds for the trip are going:

Get Involved
The Jewish and Muslim students are scrambling this week to close the gap in their financing efforts.
To contribute, mail a check made out to “Hillel, University of Michigan, Jewish Muslim ASB Trip” to U-M Hillel [DS: Address redacted by me–I won’t help them raise money for this absurd trip of concentration camp inmates and their Reich captors].

But no worries. The trip won’t include any recognition that one group supports almost every active terrorist group on the planet:

There is no talk about things like the Second Lebanon War of 2006, or the siege of Gaza. And the students explain it simply: There are a myriad of other forums to delve into the roiling political milieu of the Middle East.
These students say they are about faith. . . .
“It is going to be the norm, one day. We really will do away with some of these obstacles that keep us apart,” [says Imam Mardini.]

And the students on this trip are extremely ignorant:

Lizzie Lovinger, a 19-year-old sophomore from Farmington Hills, says the motivation from her faith is clear.
“There is a pretty big idea in Judaism: You should love your neighbor as you love yourself,” Lovinger said, first using the Yiddish words for the phrase and then translating. “In the Detroit area and in Ann Arbor, Muslims are definitely our neighbors, in every sense of the word and it is important that we remember that it is our duty in life to be treating people as we would want to be treated.”

Um, Ms. Lovinger, that’s Hebrew, NOT Yiddish. And it refers to your Jewish neighbor, NOT your Muslim enemy. The same Judaism also says, again in Hebrew,

If someone comes to hurt you [DS: referred to as a “Rodef“], destroy him first.

Our religion does not contain anything about “turning the other cheek.”
And these Jewish students are from anti-Israel, self-hating Jewish groups:

Miriam Liebman, 21, of Farmington Hills says she was driven by her faith to be active in community groups.”It’s just something I have thought about, as part of me being Jewish, since high school,” said Liebman, a senior, who has taken Arabic classes, spent a semester in Egypt and joined the Union of Progressive Zionists, a student group that seeks peace and justice in the Middle East.
“It’s all culminated in the point that I feel the need to do something like this,” Liebman said, “to make those things be more a part of my own Jewish community, to do something within that framework of cooperation with Muslims.”

Progressive Zionists is a left-wing anti-Israel group of self-hating Jews. Here’s a tip: Any time a Jewish group talks about “peace and justice in the Middle East,” it usually means they like to attack Israel and enable with shawarmeh-eaters of the Mohammedan variety. It’s not “peace and justice” for Israel they are concerned about. In the concentration camps, they called these Jews, “coppos.”
If you are a Jewish donor, do NOT give your money to Hillel. Do not give it to the Jewish Federation/United Jewish Communities. Do not give it to the Allied Jewish Campaign. If you do, you are funding the legitimization of not only the Muslim Brotherhood, but all of the other terrorist groups–including HAMAS, Islamic Jihad, and Al-Qaeda–that it supports.
I report. You vote with your checkbook.
And to those–Gentile AND Jew–who look to the mainstream Jewish establishment for their “discernment” on Islam and which Muslims are acceptable, I hope this story tells you that you’ve made a huge mistake.
It’s time to stop playing Rodney King to the enemies who’ve openly said they are bent on our destruction and have openly demonstrated it. “Can’t we all just get along?”
Can a mouse and a python just get along? They are unified only when one is eaten alive by the other.
“Can’t we all just get along?”
No, we cannot.

same here in Germany.
Our national and to some extend even influential Jewish organization “Zentralrat der Juden” is doing nothing whatsoever to educate people on Islam and on the threats it poses to the few remaining non-elite Jews in the country.
The leftist Jewish elite cares a lot about making the country hate itself for its past, but has nothing to say about its future and the new holocaust that is coming to Germany and Europe and which will wipe out all remaining Jews or convert them to the religion of pieces.
They have the moral authority and the duty to speak up and tell my cowardly countrymen and women to resist, yet they cannot even get themselves to support Israel, let alone normal Jewish citizens.
the narrative in Germany is, if you speak up against Islam, you are a nazi. That card trumps everything. Really everything. You would not believe it. Even holocaust survivors are now called nazis by our leftist press for speaking up against Islam. Every blog or journalist or citizen is muted by this rhetoric.
And the one organ, the Jewish organizations who would have the power to change that do nothing. They are pinnacles of moral relativism and political correctness.
It’s disgraceful.

Debbie:
This isnít the first time that Americans of Jewish decent have supported anti-Semitic causes and organizations. When the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact was signed in 1939 Americans of Jewish descent loyally saluted the red banner and marched in lockstep with Soviet Communist Party in their alliance with Hitler. Americans of Jewish decent remain the most loyal leftists in the country and probably still have same affection for Communism their parents did.

just to clear something up: the labeling is done not very obvious for outsiders or people who don’t speak German.
There is a cascade of expressions and comparisons that make sure everyone gets the message. If something is “belonging to the right wing” or “has ties to the “right fringe”, gets “applause from the right fringe” it is an euphemism for nazi.
Right is nazi. Everyone knows that. If you want to kick out muslims who commit crimes or plan attacks, you are a nazi, because you are a “enemy of foreigners”. If you are against foreigners, you are on the right fringe.
It does not change anything that Hitler himself approved of Islam. Or that Hitler did not care about foreigners. He killed German Jews just as happily as foreign ones.

Wonder what the moslem girl is thinking?.
HADITH Sahih Muslim [41:6983] Abdullah b. ‘Umar reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:
You and the Jews would fight against one another until a stone would say: Muslim, here is a Jew behind me; come and kill him.

Its not really peace and co-existence when one side makes all the concessions and the other side takes. That’s not a relationship of equals. More like the relationship between master and dhimmi. Sadly, most American Jews have no idea what Islam really advocates. Its not accepting the existence of Israel, its not accepting non-Muslims as equals and its not accepting of freedom, tolerance and women’s rights. American Jewish groups thus embrace an outlook that endangers Jewish welfare and existence. Denial is not only a river in Israel.

“It is going to be the norm, one day. We really will do away with some of these obstacles that keep us apart,” [says Imam Mardini.]
Translation: One day, all obstacles to Islam will be swept away. Israel will be destroyed, and all Jews will either convert to Islam or pay the jizya (infidel tax) and live as a “protected people” under Muslim hegemony in accordance with Shari’a law.

Jerry, you are exaggerating somewhat. Granted that Jews have always been overrepresented in the Communist Party CP) and other leftist organizations, the Stalin-Hitler pact had devastating consequences for the CP. It lost many, many members, Jewish members in particular, although of course of those that remained, a disproportionate number were jewish. The CP recouped somewhat after World War II, and recruited, again, a number of Jewish members, who stuck with it through the purge of the Yiddish writers after WW II, the Doctors’ Plot, etc., right through the Khrushchev revelations in 1956, when the bottom dropped out. It must be kept in perspective though, that only a very, very, small segment of the Jewish people in the US supported the CP.

No suprise here. It just feeeeels so noble. This is pure leftism at work. Love your enemy, love the murderer or rapist who is intent on making you his next victim. Try and “understand” him; there has to be a reason he hates you, so get him to open up and talk about it. Maybe it’s because of the worlds right-wing opressors! Money will solve that. Let’s hold a bake sale, and then get on with real problems like global warming, and a woman’s right to an abortion. Now let’s hug; isn’t that better?

“Useful Idiots” a term coined by Vladamir Lenin.
Jews are supposed to pray that those that have strayed, will come back, but I just can’t get myself to do it. I can’t even give my thoughts on these idiots as it might offend our hostess.

Oh, Ms. Lovinger, is that one of your neighbors?

I bet you will love him more when he carries out his threats, or I suppose his is not Muslim, he is just people in your eyes.
Analize and treat this with Rabbi Nathan Martin.

Christians too are singing kum ba ya with those who wish to enslave them. A quick Google search was quite eye opening. One of the more prominent rags is Islamica Magazine-Christian Muslim Forum. It doesn’t take long to discover that there is no condemnation of present Muslim terror, but plenty of discussion regarding The Crusades and “all the trangressions of Christians throughout the ages”. Dhimmitude, here we come. http://www.islamicamagazine.com/Issue-15/The-Myth-of-The-Myth-of-Moderate-Islam.html

Debbie, this kind of goes along with my theory that any organization that isn’t explicitly right wing is probably left wing. Anyway, I checked the beneficiary list for my local Federation and Hillel is on the list, which is a long one. But the way I figure it, if maybe a fraction of a percent of the money goes to this type of mishugas, the rest of it is still pretty high caliber Tzedakah. At most I would withold a ceremonial shekel or two.

Thank you for your thoughtful report on the dangers of inter-faith relationships between Jews and Muslims. We need to do everything possible to keep the Jews and Muslims separate, because, well, because peace may break out. Since we apparently can’t get along and need to recognize the dangers of tolerance and understanding of different religious, what should we do with those pesky 1.5 billion Muslims and their self-hating Jewish enablers?

yes, in the name of free speech and democracy, please delete them. Because America was built on restricting information and eliminating dissent.
make sure your readers remain as ignorant as possible. there is no need for anyone to read anything other than what you think they should read.
Infact, you should read everything on the internet and provide “safe” links to the readers of this site so that they are not “confused.”
I wish there were more people like you vetting the internet so are minds would not be clouded by dangerous information that may for once encourage us to think for ourselves.

RE: Islamica. the magazine dedicated a whole issue to opposing terrorism by Muslims:- akazif
And that is a load of taqiya crock. ENTIRE QURAN IS A MANUAL ON JIHAD:
Terror struck into the hearts of the enemies is not only a means, it is the end in itselfÖ It is the point where the means and the end meet and merge. Terror is not a means of imposing decision upon the enemy. It is the decision we wish to impose upon him…
Terror… can be instilled only if the opponentís Faith is destroyed. Psychological dislocation is temporary; spiritual dislocation is permanent. Psychological dislocation can be produced by a physical act but this does not hold good of the spiritual dislocation. To instill terror into the hearts of the enemy, it is essential, in the ultimate analysis, to dislocate his Faith …
Does it sound diabolical? Not to Muslim ears, for sure. Terrorism in all its forms has been the most effective weapon in the armoury of Islam ever since its advent. Great terrorists have been the heroes whom Muslims cherish the most. And it is terror which has seen to it that the victims do not remember what they were subjected to before they were forced into the fold of the Faithful. The victims are expected and exhorted to become – and do become in most cases – terrorists in their own turn!

Vlad Dracula is one of my favorite heroes because he had the balls to strike back at the muslim vermin during the Ottoman Turks attempt at expansion. He killed tens of thousands of the scum. May peace be upon him and anyone who chooses to follow in his footsteps.

I agree that Jews should not support Muslim groups that openly support HAMAS, Hezbollah, and other Islamic terrorist groups, but where are you getting your facts? What evidence do you have that these students are “part of the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist group’s operation in America.” Do you care whether, when you paint with your broad brush, that you impugn the integrity of decent Jewish kids who are attempting to find peaceful solutions in a terror-infested world? What of the reputations of decent kids like Erica Wedes, Lizzie Lovinger, Miriam Liebman who you smear in angry, vitriolic invective? It is one thing to sling mud (if your so-called “reporting” has risen to the level of mudslinging) at religious and community leaders that you disagree with, but have you no shame when it comes to posting pictures and quoting idealistic kids who are struggling to find a way to live live in this chaotic world?

This news article is important. Knowledge is power. I certainly won’t regard Hillel with the same credability. Living here in the UK you have only to see the hate filled public demonstrations by Muslims, the dancing in the streets on 9.11 and the laws that protect this ‘right of free speech’ whilst our Jewish primary schools have prison fences, bomb proof glass and private security.
Many in the UK keep a low profile for safety. Feels like the 30’s. We can never negotiate with Hamas who seek our destruction and Fatah have now established links with Iran. Many so called ‘settlements’ are established old communities that have lived with pogroms, murder and fear for too long. Those who would talk to our killers like those who open the roads through Hebron for them are to be watched with caution. Shabbat Shalom

I was one of the Jewish students who went on the University of Michigan Muslim-Jewish Alternative Spring Break trip to Staten Island, New York, in 2009 as part of a group of students who were interested in working together to serve a community in need. Your article is disturbing on many levels, but what disturbs me the most is the fact that you are so intent on spewing hatred that you don’t realize how ignorant you sound while doing it. You’re an older woman who clearly has made an effort to share your opinions on this matter with others. Have you tried talking to Rabbi Nathan about how angry his efforts at peace and service have made you feel? Perhaps you should consider seeing a counselor or a therapist. What do you gain from posting your faulty judgments and biased opinions online? I think it would actually do you some good to go out into the community and talk with people rather than getting excited and posting your thoughts for 24 people to comment about.
