Criminals & Taliban Supporters: Fake “Saint” Bhutto & Hubby In Picture & Deed

By Debbie Schlussel
**** UPDATE: Read Benazir Bhutto’s niece’s L.A. Times column on her aunt, the fraud. ****
With regard to my earlier post on the Empress With No Clothing, Benazir Bhutto, some readers have asked what I meant when I said that Bhutto’s husband is a criminal and that she’s a fraud, too. Others have asked about her alliance with Yasser Arafat. But we can’t let little things like this pic of Bhutto and her husband welcoming Arafat to Pakistan, get in the way of beatification of Saint Benazir. Forget about Bhutto and Arafat, whose homicide bombings and terror attacks she constantly defended (now, she knows what it feels like):

benazirbhuttoarafat.jpg

Disregard the fact that this faux “moderate” Bhutto supported the Taliban and helped it take over Afghanistan. Not only did her Paki government recognize the Taliban, she was only one of three governments to do so (a fact acknowledged by Bhutto’s niece). Awesome. Our soldiers are dying there fighting the Taliban, and Bush tried to re-insert upon Pakistan the woman who enabled the Taliban in the first place. Get me one of those Bush Out of Office Countdown Calendars, stat.
And forget about these facts. For starters, Bhutto’s husband, Asif Ali Zardari was a convicted criminal and in prison in Pakistan. But, if you think that’s trumped up, how ’bout Bhutto’s and her husband’s, convictions for money laundering in Switzerland. This is not the “corrupt” Paki government. It’s the Swiss courts, finding that Bhutto and her husband took bribes and kickbacks to get a Swiss company a government contract with Pakistan. I mean, this interferes with the Mainstream and Conservative Media’s pictures of this new saint, so why consider this, right?:

Ms. Bhutto and her husband, Asif Ali Zardari, who is jailed in Pakistan, were given six-month suspended sentences after an investigation by a Swiss magistrate. She was ordered to pay the Pakistani government nearly $12 million in restitution and was also ordered also ordered to hand over a necklace valued at $188,000.
The case relates to accusations dating back to the 1990’s that Ms. Bhutto had access to money through kickbacks from two Swiss companies doing business in Pakistan.

More:

The six-year-long case alleged that Ms. Bhutto, who lives in exile in London and Dubai, and her husband, Asif Ali Zardari, deposited in Swiss accounts $10 million given them by a Swiss company in exchange for a contract in Pakistan.

But no biggie. After all, this Islamist Bush-designated saint was a “moderate” and now is a martyr. All hail Sheikha Benazir.
Oh, by the way, the excuse they used: Those weren’t our accounts (even thought they had access to them). Same excuse as when an arrestee says to a cop, “but those weren’t my drugs in the car.”

In addition to her statements about the Palis, Benazir was a major sponsor of terrorism as Prime Minister. Under her leadership, Pakistan switched support to the Taliban, and was largely responsible for the Taliban rise to power in Afghanistan.
On top of that, when she was PM the first time, she belied all expectations of her being a moderating influence, and actively promoted Jihad in Kashmir. Major problem I had with her was her being such a good taquiyya channel to the West of what Islam could be, while proving exactly the opposite as leader both times she had that opportunity.
I don’t like assassinations, but as far as I’m concerned, she won’t be missed. One less taquiyya artist!

Sorry, Deb, but youÔø?re off base on this one. She was no friend of the Taliban or Al Qadea, and they hated her for that. Musharraf on the other hand, has both terrorist groups running amok in his government and his country. He is no friend of the U.S. Bhutto was no angel, but she was willing to take them on and bring some much needed change. The last thing Pakistan needs is another reason for re-instatement of martial law or to disintegrate further into a cesspool of corruption and chaos.
[SFCMC: ACTUALLY, YOU ARE OFF-BASE. THE FACT IS THAT SHE RECOGNIZED THE TALIBAN, ONE OF THREE WORLD LEADERS TO DO SO. WITH ENEMIES LIKE THAT, WHO NEEDS FRIENDS? YOU THINK SHE WOULD ROUND UP TERRORISTS THIS TIME AROUND, WHEN SHE COULDN’T EVEN HOLD ON TO POWER THE FIRST TIME? DREAM ON. SHE’S INEPT AND A CRIMINAL. AS FOR HER 180 ON THE TALIBAN, SHE WANTED TO GET BACK INTO POWER. SHE’D SAY ANYTHING. WE KNOW HER ACTIONS, ONCE SHE GOT TO POWER. MARTIAL LAW IS WHAT THOSE BARBARIANS NEED. IT’S THE ONLY THING THEY UNDERSTAND. THEY’D RUN ROUGHSHOD OVER HER. DS]

I want to add: Pakistan has formented terrorist scumbags and extremists for years. She knew her life was in constant danger, but returned to her home and courageously stood up to subhuman filth.
To be sure, the Musharraf regime will blame the United States for brokering an agreement to let her back into Pakistan, and the moonbats on the Left will blame President Bush because everything is his fault, from their lousy childhoods to their miserable worthless adult lives.
Musharraf is probably glad that someone finally got to her. She was the biggest threat to the oppressive, corrupt regime. No one has yet claimed responsibility for this atrocity, but Musharraf, the Taliban, and Al Qaeda head up the list.
Expect a lot of rioting and more bombs. It won’t stop until all the muslim extremist pigs are dead, which means it won’t be any time soon.

Paki policy prior to Bhutto – when Gen Zia ul Haq ran things – was to support Gulbuddin Heqmatyar, another jihadi thug no less, but Bhutto, in order to make Afghanistan a client of Pakistan and give Islamabad strategic depth against India, propped the Taliban regime. And under her, Pakistan’s #1 enemy was always India, not Jihadis. It was her father Zulfiqar who started their nuke project called the Islamic bomb, and once famously stated, “We will get the bomb even if we have to eat grass to get it” (and he wasn’t talking weed, despite all the poppy they grow).
And that’s NOT counting her active support of Jihad in Kashmir against India in 1989, one of her first acts on coming to power.

Let’s see, she recognized the Taliban…and where is Afghanistan located in regards to Pakistan? Oh yeah, that’s right, next door. So could her support have more to do with trying to stabilize her border and relations between the two NEIGHBORING Muslim countries than supporting a regime who obviously had little to no recognition of women’s rights? I’m guessing there’s a lot more to that then your black and white take on the subject and your smear campaign against Bhutto.
I’m sure she was far from perfect or even the best leader for Pakistan but she was far from the extremists who are vying for power in that country as we speak.
I doubt you’ll be happy until the US and/ or Israeli’s just nuke the whole region anyway.
[LD: PUH-LEEZE. SHE WAS NO DIFFERENT FROM THE REST OF THE SCHEMING ANIMALS. THE GUSHING OVER HER, BHUTTO REVISIONISM, AND APOLOGISM–SUCH AS YOU’RE EXHIBITING–IS DISGUSTING. DS]

Question: Who allowed the Pakis to get the bomb? Was it Jimmy Carter?

lexi on December 27, 2007 at 8:13 pm

Who are the “scheming animals?” Muslims or politicians?
I’m no apologist for Bhutto but I’m also wondering why all this anger and attacks upon a woman that’s dead? Let her rest in peace for God’s sake. If you’re so happy about it, throw a party, dance on her grave and revel in the fact that hope for another democracy in the Muslim world is now diminished. It seems the Islamic extremists and you won this round.

lawdood on December 27, 2007 at 8:19 pm

Soooo… she supported the Taliban’s rise to power, get’s overthrown by the General, come’s back when al Qaeda and Taliban start trying to destabilize Pakistan, and then she’s killed by a terrorist along with 20 other souls, then the nation goes into French riots… I think that’s a good summary.
The best reason for destabilization of Pakistan, that I can see, is for the nuclear weapons. WorldNetDaily reported Osama bin Laden (spelled with and “O”) got permission from some Imam to kill millions of Americans. I can’t remember the specific quote or who wrote the piece – I’m just too sleepy.
Time to relearn duck-and-cover, I guess.
Thanks for the context, Deb.

She does look comfortable with Arrafatt so close by.

Nobody is rejoicing at Bhutto’s assassination. What is being done is refuting the cw that she is the panacea of all that’s wrong with Pakistan, and to butress that point, the views of her niece, as well as her record as Prime Minister is being used to demonstrate that she would have been no better, had she survived and gone on to become Prime Minister a third term.
The attacks are not so much on her, as much as they are on her cheerleaders, particularly in the infidel world, where her track record on the Taliban is being ignored in the West, while her track record on Kashmir is being ignored in India.
Don’t you think that’s a legitimate target of criticism, without looking like we’re dancing on anybody’s grave?

Infidel Pride on December 28, 2007 at 1:08 am

Debbie. Thank you. I had thought I had entered into an alternate Universe where I was the only one who remembered the misdeeds and radical Islamic agenda this woman had, so long as she didn’t have to play.

St. Benazir, didn’t steal any $1 billion from Pakistan!- don’t mistake it. She Stole it from We, The People, of the U.S.
Ole Pakistan wouldn’t have had the moola, if the U.S. hadn’t given it to them.
Unfortunately, it is indeed a case of what goes around….
