Moron: Dumb Arizona Massacre Peacenik Photo of the Day

By Debbie Schlussel

I don’t think I need to comment on Barack Obama’s speech, yesterday, at the Arizona Massacre Love-In, other than to say it was a shameful display in uber-egotism and hijacking of a tragedy caused by a single nut. But check out this photo, below, of Arizona peacenik moron Vera Rapcsak, who joins all of Obama’s comrades on the left in blaming the First Amendment–our most basic right–for the actions of a single crazed nutjob. Jared Loughner, as those who knew him best make clear, didn’t shoot these people at Safeway because of any alleged “hate speech” (which is the way dumb hippies, like Rapcsak, describe any thought in the center or to the right of it).

She’s apparently peace-sign-challenged, since her incongruous peace sign looks more like a swastika or a target than an actual peace sign. Or, perhaps, that’s deliberate, given what she and the other left-wing fascists are saying in their cheap blame-game tactics.  Here’s a tip, Vera:  you wasted your time.  Your silly signs–and your intent to silence the free speech of the rest of us, while you squander yours–won’t save a single life.  It won’t change–and never would have changed what happened on Saturday at Safeway.  The only thing that “= Murder” is your attempt to silence my First Amendment rights.  Oh, and by the way, the late 1960s are over.  Deal with it.

Um, the early ’70s called. They want their ugly outfit and headband back.

I think Canada would be more to her liking. For the life of me I can’t understand why these hippies don’t just defect and get asylum rather than try to dismantle the US Constitution.

awww c’mon Peter we dont want her here!!!!!…you can have her!!…actually I will take her here if you keep that vile, ignorant, low-life piece of islamic trash with the monkey beard – omar khadar….

BIG IRISH on January 14, 2011 at 5:56 pm

Funny that the idiot would protest free speech in one of the few countries that would allow her to do that very thing. I always have loathed hippies. The libtards I’ve had to deal with on the job were the smuggest of the hippies. Funny thing about them is that like most criminals they tend to melt away like the wicked witch in the Wizard of Oz when confronted with facts backed by the force to back them up.

I ask the question so many others are asking…where were the “Vera’s” while people burned Bush in effigy, prayed for Cheney to drop dead(or accidentally shoot himself while hunting), made movies about Bush’s assassination? While groups like Code Pink attacked recruiting centers and their leaders prayed for the death of our president and the recruiters themselves? Where was OBAMA when the “Vera’s” erected a massive inflatable George Bush at HIS INAUGURATION to throw shoes at? Where were the “Vera’s” when Nidal Malik Hassan SLAUGHTERED 13 people and injured 30 more in the name of his RELIGION????

I’d like to know.

Jenn of the Jungle on January 13, 2011 at 12:37 pm

Jenn, those are good points, the fact is that this bimbo is a “hypocrite” like all of her left wing ilk. They had NOTHING to say when their was effigy hangings of George Bush Jr., Sarah Palin (and I am not a fan of either Bush or Palin), etc. This Vera airhead was silent when Chris Matthews made a death threat to Rush Limbaugh (who I listen to every now and then, but he brings up alot of good points, but he has to stop carrying the banner for the GOP), Mike Malloy made threats against Glenn Beck (who I am not a fan of), Montel Williams made threats against Michelle Bachmann, etc. Again, I didn’t see this Vera girl demonstrated outside of MSNBC in NYC, or demonstrated outside of where Mike Malloy works or where Montel Williams worked before he was kicked off the airwaves, Vera is a classic leftist hypocrite!

Debbie perhaps we as Jews should make an official list of words and phrases that non-Jews can’t use. Aside from ‘blood libel’ I’d like to add any and all Yiddish words, ‘lox’ and ‘money lender’.

    Sounds good…how about:

    Kish mere a fullen touchas?

Steph on January 13, 2011 at 8:20 pm

Ann Coulter was right about one thing: if what Debbie and other conservatives is “hate speech” – we’d better ban the English language – its called “metaphors” and no one ever uses them in their literal sense. What’s really funny about the absurd attempt to blame Republicans and conservatives for something they had nothing to do with and certainly weren’t guilty of, is the same people that blamed them for overheated rhetoric and are now calling on them to “tone it down,” are the same people who see nothing wrong with Islamic clerics calling on their followers to murder people with whom they disagree.

Just don’t call it hypocrisy!

NormanF on January 13, 2011 at 12:43 pm

Groovy!

What if the gave a lefty rally and nobody came?

Vera needs a good spanking. I know just the man for the job…

spiffo on January 13, 2011 at 1:24 pm

I agree with Norman F’s general point, but Ann Coulter is not a person that should be cited for support. She is anti-semitic to the core. Recent columns of hers have singled out Jews for derision and ridicule, and when attacking liberals, she has disproportionately singled out Jews. She has also ridiculed facial features historically identified as Jewish, on a few (Jewish) liberal politicians.

Unfortunately, the liberals’ campaign seems to be successful. They’re not trying to stifle free speech as much as trying to destroy the momentum of any conservative agenda, and it looks like they have succeeded beyond any expectations. Conservatives have reacted defensively, and appear terrified to raise any agenda re illegal immigration. This is a testament to the weakness and narrowness of the issues that the Republicans ran on, that they can be so easily derailed. The Republican presidential candidates aren’t doing any better. A few vague mouthings about Muslims, but nothing concrete or actionable — not really meant to be picked up on.

Little Al on January 13, 2011 at 1:40 pm

LA, good point. I’d hate to grant legitimacy to an
anti-Semite. I’ve always been good to credit people and
if Debbie weighs in and says the attribution is an inappropriate one, I’ll withdraw it.

As for the rest of your observations, I wasn’t expecting much to change in Washington this year. And Republicans rather timid and defensive reaction to slashing liberal attacks on them don’t inspire a great of confidence in their moving their agenda forward. Whether its illegal immigration, confronting Islam or reducing the size of government, nothing much happens when we get Republicans in power. And a number of them DID vote for gays in the military and to sign away our defensive missile program vs the Russians when the new START treaty was ratified last year.

The worst enemy we face aren’t liberals: its the “no labels” folks in our ranks who don’t want to appear extreme and partisan and in so doing, validate everything the Left says about conservative positions and policies.

NormanF on January 13, 2011 at 2:37 pm

That girl sorta reminds me of those people who during the Bush days had their so-called anti-war demonstration, and she sure as hell look like those leftist girls who lives in New York City (where I live BTW and planning on moving out someday when I make more money). Sweety, I have some advice for you, if you don’t like the 1st amendment let alone our fundamental constitution rights, then I suggest you move to Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia, China, Argentina, Cuba, Venezula, North Korea, etc. You’ll feel alot better living in despotic-fascistic regimes. Another thing, in a healthy republic like ours, it is ok to have debates from all sides of the political aisle (whether it’s right, left, center, etc.) as long NO ONE is threating eachother with violence. We all know if someone dares threaten someone else with violence, they ought to be locked up behind bars. Now in the past, some people have made death threats against Debbie (whether it’s muslim sleeper cells, Palin supporters, nutjob left wingers, or Obama supporters, etc.), and Debbie to her own credit reported those emails to the FBI and those people are more likely behind bars for inciting violence against Ms. Schlussel.

Sean R. on January 13, 2011 at 1:41 pm

Sean, it goes to show “hate mail” can cross political divides and religious affiliation. Nearly every one of the groups you named has been an equal opportunity perpetrator against Debbie SChlussel. Without saying it, our ranks are not exactly squeaky clean. Much of the conservative world extolled Bob Novak when he passed away and on the issue of zero tolerance for prejudice and bigotry, a good many of them are hypocrites just like the liberals are.

NormanF on January 13, 2011 at 3:13 pm

Norman, your right man, there are some hypocrites on our side (conservative side), and there no different than the lefties. I wasn’t here when Debbie wrote an article of Bob Novak, I read her archives about Novak, and some of the posters at that time said that they tried to post that Novak wasn’t the conservative that we trust. Some of them tried to post the information on other conservative sites and those posters said that their messages was denied, so your right, their are hypocrites on the right as well.

I can’t imagine being a relative of a victim and having my loved one’s death turned into a “woot woot!” rally. I just can’t believe the insensitivity of so many people. Maybe they’re just the lucky ones who have never had to deal with death.

Jake49 on January 13, 2011 at 3:20 pm

Awesome post, Debbie.

DS_ROCKS! on January 13, 2011 at 3:32 pm

This all reminds me of when the hustlers wanted a few handpicked counties in Florida to be the deciding factor in the election between Gore and Bush.

But today, this kind of protesting is another plan to disregard the rest of the country’s 2nd and 1st rights conveniently based on what a single individual might have done.

Vera is so edgy. She is wearing what her granny wore 45 years ago, and a sign that is not even up to the standards of that time. Vera, let’s face the fact that you are a brain dead retread.

Worry01 on January 13, 2011 at 4:37 pm

Oy gevalt. Why do people sooo enjoy dancing on the graves of the murdered – exploiting a tragedy to score political points and shut down free speech?

The cretin says, “Free speech = murder.” Interesting that the most murderous regimes in history (Hitler, Stalin, etc.) had NO free speech.

When the Westboro Baptist Church decides to protest at the funerals of dead soldiers, the moronic New York Times defends it as “free speech.” When Nazis want to march through a village of Holocaust survivors in Illinois, the ACLU defends it as “free speech.” When Muslims want to build a center of hate near the ashes of some 2600 Americans, that’s defended as “freedom of religion.” Ah, the double standards of political correctness apall me.

When Nidal Malik Hasan massacred 14 of his fellow soldiers in cold blood while shouting “All-h Akbar” at the top of his lungs, we are told (by the uber-cretin Dr. Phil, the New York Times and others) that this terrorist attack has NOOOTHING to do with Islam, and that there will be a “backlash” against “peaceful” and “moderate” Muslims.

What about the backlash against conservatives, who – in fact – had nothing to do with the single act of a Marx/Hitler lover?

Ah, in the mind of a PC cretin: “Hate speech = murder.” The Constitution = murder. America is a terrorist country (hmmm… Laughner said the same thing.) G-d damn America.

Jeremiah Wright repeatedly said, “G-d damn America.” Barack Obama said that Jews living where they please in their own country is “illegal.” Is that “hate speech” according to liberal standards? Are Jeremiah Wright, Barack Obama, etc. murderers?

No, Jared Laughner was not incited by the “vitriolic rhetoric” of the Tea Party. Could it be that he was incited by the anti-Semitic, anti-American rhetoric of … Jeremiah Wright? I say, indict Jeremiah Wright. He inspired this massacre.

I don’t have any proof, but I don’t like the guy and he said some hateful things (a lot more hateful than anything Glenn Beck ever said) … so Rev. Wright must be guilty. Ah, the logic of a liberal (not that all liberals have participated in this exploitation of a tragedy – some have had the good sense not to).

Mike on January 13, 2011 at 4:41 pm

The Republicans are even worse than I thought.

I did not listen to the President’s speech last night, but assume for purposes of argument that he acknowledged that there was no specific political philosophy which caused the shooting, as articles on some allegedly conservative websites have stated.

So what? They don’t need to. The conservatives have been derailed by the sheer momentum of the meetings, articles, etc. etc. It takes that little to throw them off a course they really don’t want to be on, in the first place. And now Pres. Obama has the added advantage of various ‘conservative’ websites praising his restraint. What more could the liberals hope for?

Little Al on January 13, 2011 at 6:32 pm

I don’t think Sarah Palin would appreciate your use of the word moron.
Name calling gets us nowhere. It’s fun in private, but juvenile.

Jenny on January 13, 2011 at 6:41 pm

Sarah Palin was inartful at best in her reference to blood libels. True, the term as Prof. Dershowitz stated has acquired a marginally broader meaning than the historical centuries-old meaning associated with the anti-semitic canard.

But the term’s reference is ambiguous at best, and in the eyes of most informed Jews still carries connotations of ritual murder. It is straining to divorce the term from its anti-semitic historical context; I suspect she used the term knowing that Giffords was Jewish, and that there is a larger and larger Jewish population in Arizona. She was trying to be clever, and she and her advisors were not well-enough informed or thoughtful enough to realize that any ambiguity in the term’s use would be resolved against her.

While her use of this term does not represent overt antisemitism, it does represent political gimmickry, and, in an indirect sense, quite possibly a disparagement of the reasoning qualities of those people, especially Jews, that she was trying to influence.

Little Al on January 13, 2011 at 7:31 pm

Blood libel in its historical sense meant to accuse Jews of a crime they never committed. And such libels in the medieval world had deadly consequences. Conservatives are accused of a crime they didn’t commit. The point is its tarnishing the reputation of a group of people without regard to the truth – and a lie may be plausible to those who believe in it but its without factual or moral foundation. Decent people who care about the truth should not let defamation stand. That’s true regardless of whether a libel is advanced for theological or political reasons. Its wrong, period.

NormanF on January 13, 2011 at 8:53 pm

Of course in this day and age people wouldn’t beleive such outlandish lies, right?
      ….Yeah, right.

The bigger the lie, the easier for people to beleive it.
Just ask that little toothbrush mustached Austrio/German twit, it comes straight from the liberals handbook.

theShadow on January 13, 2011 at 10:06 pm

These hippies are so facile. If you have not outgrown peace and love by 30, you’re a no-hoper. PERIOD.

Plus, it’s annoying when Liberals act like earth’s Angels when they are NOT. In fact, I suggest one take Liberal’s annoying personas and make a game of it. If you know a Liberal, start paying attention to all they say and do and have fun pointing out all the hypocrisy. I’d have fun playing if only I could stand to be around one for more that 10 minutes.

Sean, you should give Rush another go. He has not carried the GOP water for some time. It’s about Conservativism with him now. I am very pleased with his show since the day after Cap’n Zero’s election (I liked RL, but before, his show was no big deal…at the time I liked listening to Dennis Prager instead). He has been waaaaay ahead of the game on ZerObama and has the guts to say it…Liberal media be damned. He calls out the elites all the time. Check out his daily transcripts. You’ll be pleased.

You may like “Quinn & Rose”. Another fearless show. These days I like shows that DON’T equivocate (yeah, that means YOU Medved and Prager!) and have the guts to say it like it is.

Skunky on January 13, 2011 at 8:16 pm

I just re-read the text of this post after going to several ‘conservative’ sites that praised the president’s speech last night, basically representing it as healing, or bridging partisan differences, etc. Conservative sites that should know better and that are familiar to most readers of this blog.

It is shameful, and you realize after going to the other sites how much Debbie stands out for making clear that this speech was loathsome. She stands almost alone. We all take for granted how lousy the speech was, but he’s even got folks like NR, Front Page, etc. taken in. Sad…

Little Al on January 14, 2011 at 12:21 am

Hippies cant think for themselves, their either brainwashed by academia, or have a shortage of brain-cells by way of indulgence of dope. If Rapcsaks were off the burnt rope, maybe she could of formed a more coherant sign that read something like “A well regulated moral instinct, is the surest guide to happiness”. But I guess i’m just dreaming !

Daniel J on January 14, 2011 at 10:24 am

I heard enough of his “speech” just from the excerpts to know what a bunch of crap it was. What he said doesn’t mean diddly. It could have been a one-hundred percent perfectly written speech, but when it comes out of the sewer that is his mouth, which reflects the satanic evil that resides in his heart, then it makes the words nothing but rank hypocrisy. The so called “conservative” pundits make me want to puke!

CornCoLeo on January 14, 2011 at 1:44 pm

What an idiot she is! Hate speech does NOT equal murder! She is saying that EVERY time someone spews hate speech, a murder is committed. If that statement is not true (it isn’t), then the equal sign should not be there! If she had brains, she would be dangerous. Besides, is SHE supposed to decide what is acceptable speech and what isn’t? Can I decide? Can you? No!

John on January 14, 2011 at 4:04 pm

Perhaps we should have Palin help us get moron hippies like this one out of the country
