Great points you brought out and I’m in full agreement. I have a problem with the quality of my existence in the hands of the incompetent and unknowing. I find it painfully amusing that all the candidates, along with the brain-dead on the hill, feel it’s up to them to decide what’s right for us regarding our health care. Why do they worry…it doesn’t effect them because they have the deep pockets to take care of themselves.

Hey GREAT JOB on hitting the main points on this other-worldly boring subject. Although it is boring, it is currently 15% of the nations GDP and is projected to be 20% of GDP by 2015.
Your call for out of pocket doctor payments is addressed by the HSA plans. Consumer driven health care is what was addressed by the Health Savings Accounts (HSA) coupled with High Deductible Health Plans. They are already available but not very popular yet. People love their doctor co pays too much. HSA’s are like IRA accounts in that you put tax free dollars in there to pay for your deductible on health insurance.
The rates are lower. The only problem – no co payments. But it is more of a solution than a problem.

You rock! I can add that a teleprompter or script-queue system will definitely help the delivery; which also gives you a chance to project more emotion on any positive/negative items.

You know what’s odd…I had a supervisor from college who was born and raised in Ohio. You and her have almost identical voice patterns. In fact, the first time I heard you on the radio was on the “Take a Stand” with Adam McManus in San Antonio. When I heard your voice and didn’t know who you were, my initial thought was, “What’s Miss Moyer doing on the radio?”

Great concept Debbie! – especially to combat all the lies the leftists put on youtube.
For a first vid- it’s very good. Don’t let any ridiculous comments effect you. The only thing I can see is that a prompter might be good – mainly to speed up your delivery. The backround visuals are great. I look forward to seeing these about all the current Clinton scandals that go unreported in the MSM – if you choose.
This is definitely a good idea as you come off very well.

Sounds like you have a little Brooklyn in ya. I thought your name was pronounced Shoo-sill. But what do I know? I’m just a public school Brooklyn girl and english in not my first language (Brooklyn is!!).
I thought you looked cute and better than on TV – where the makeup takes away from your personality.
I remember going to the neighborhood doctor and paying with a check – no medical forms. As late as 1990 going to a walk-in clinic doctor for $55 in Westchester. Of course it’s all before Hilary, whom I hold responsible for introducing HMO’s into our lives.

I, too, long for the simpler days of pay as you go medicine. We have “Primary Care Physicians” but our first line of defense is a healthy (Mediterranean) lifestyle, and holistic health practicianers, those in the Chiropractic profession. Bottom line, we are what we eat. Our biggest enemy is the “American Lifestyle”. An old “Okie” Native American I used to work with often quoted his ancestors: “White man dig grave with teeth”. That has proved to be sadly true. But that aside, it is true that when we paid our doctors out of pocket, things WERE cheaper and we were able to keep track of the treatments we asked for and paid for. And they made house calls. And the bill didn’t have a bunch of medical gibberish on it! Yes, I can hear Archie and Edith singing “Those were the daaaaaaaaaaaaays!” Sigh.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard you talk before, even though I just about worship you 🙂 You sound a lot different than what I expected. Thought that you would have a lower pitch.
Overall, the video is cool. Although you like the shirt, I don’t think it fits with the style of the video. How about something a little more formal for the next video?
You’re self criticism is correct, you are a bit stiff in this video, but I think that won’t be a problem as you get use to doing these.
I’m totally looking forward to seeing/hearing more from you. Just promise me that you won’t ever do something like this…

I think that you look beautiful and sound great.
I disagree that no presidential candidate is taking on the third-payer aspect of health care. Ron Paul has written extensively on the issue and has pointed out how detrimental the system is to the doctor/patient relationship and how it has increased costs. I also think that the third-payer aspects of health care funding is eroding medical ethics. I have had experience with this in my pro bono representation of families against futile care protocols effected by hospitals like in the Emilio Gonzales case in Texas.

God help me if I get seriously ill, though! It’s not a complete disaster here because these is some competition and plenty of choice, AND we’re a tiny country. Anything like this in the US would be nothing less than a horror flick gone horrible wrong!

Great points. I fully agree with you about the pay up front and request reimbursment from your carrier procedure which is long gone, I’m sorry to say. The liberal mindset that knows what is better for me than I do has taken over many issues, not only healthcare. They have done this incrementally, and it will take us some time to fix and cannot be done overnight. Getting started will be the hardest part, beginning with electing replacement congressional representatives and senators who will be more responsive to the constituents.

I’m not a linguist but the Brooklyn accent of the 30’s & 40’s probably has it’s roots in Jewish, Italian and others. Some older cities have elements of the accent while the newer western cities do not. I had family that were born and raised in Monroe Michigan and they did not sound anything like Debbie.

I love Ann, too, but I wish she had your view of Romney. You need to tell her to put her support behind Huckabee or Hunter; not backing Romney and/or Guliani, like she did yesterday on TBN! I would never vote for anyone claiming to be a “Christian” who endorses abortion (infanticide)! Both these men have endorsed abortion in the past, and if they did it before, it’s likely they will re-endorse it after they become President. Unfortunately, the Republican Party has allowed itself to become integrated by those who aren’t genuine Christian Conservative Republicans, like our Founding Fathers who came here from Europe to establish our government based on The Holy Bible and Ten Commandments. Those who doubt that need to click on http://www.wallbuilders.com, then click their link to our National Archives in Washington, DC so they can read the actual historical documents of our Nation, as well as the business and personal letters of our Presidents and other officials, the majority of whom were Evangelical Christians, because they mentioned the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in these documents and their correspondence. We must return to the political party of Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan and boot out those we know aren’t genuine conservatives, who don’t endorse our original political platform we desperately need to return to, immediately!
Back to your remarks, are you ever right! When I was growing up in the 1950’s, our doctor came to our home to treat us. His home visits were $10, and his office visits were $8. He used to make his own salves–I used to jokingly call it “Dr. Boon’s Stinky Salve–but boy, did that stuff ever knock out bronchitis and clean out your sinuses after Mom would stick her fingers under my nose right after rubbing that salve on my chest! In fact, Dr. Boon pierced my ears when I was a Junior in high school, for $15! I don’t even know if Mom and Daddy had insurance or not, I just remember them paying up-front. That’s when things were cheap and uncomplicated!
I lived in Germany for 5 yrs., and I have German friends, and I want my fellow Americans to know what a nightmare Socialized medicine is! I also had a Swedish foreign exchange student when my Son was in high school, and she said her Dad moved them from Sweden to Germany because getting treatment at a doctor, dentist, or hospital was next to impossible! My foreign exchange student confirmed that. She said it was next to impossible to get treatment during the summertime because the doctors and dentists are normally on vacation the entire summer! I heard on the news only about a month ago that people are pulling their own teeth that have abscesses because they can’t get in to see a dentist! Europeans are literally dying because they can’t get any doctor, dental, or hospital appointments all thanks to Socialized medicine! And we wonder why all the people of the World are willing to die to get to our US Shores?
God help all Americans if we’re actually stupid enough to elect a Socialist Democrat as our next President! The real political agenda of these Socialists is the destruction of our Christian Republic that our European Founding Fathers created, because they want it replaced with a government that’s a Western Hemisphere extension of the One World Government being planned by the EU/UN.

Every time that I visit this site, I get a pick me up. It is so refreshing to have someone on the national scene, who doesn’t want to turn over their responsibilities and personal freedoms to the federal government. The left realizes that they have enslaved a portion of the population to whatever agenda they want. As long as they keep sending out the checks to the lazy and uninspired, they can push whatever morally corrupt issue that they want and will blindly receive their support. Now, they want to expand their influence. They see health insurance as another area to increase people’s dependency on the federal government. As a tax accountant, I deal with federal and state governments on a daily basis. The last organization that I want to put in charge of my well-being is the federal government. Don’t be fooled by the whole it is for the children nonsense. They just want to get their foot in the door. Once they get this insanely expensive program passed, they will say see its working. Let’s give it to everyone.
I personally like EARNING a living, HAVING a view that is not spoon-fed to me, NOT BEING ASHAMED to have morals and TAKING care of my family. I don’t feel the need to apologize for PAYING ATTENTION in high school or going onto college to further my education. I worked my way through college and borrowed what I couldn’t afford. I didn’t wait for a handout from the government or blame my failures on an unhappy childhood or someone holding me back.
