Don’t forget; it is by CentCom regulation that non-Muslim American military personnel (read: virtually all of them) are required to don clean, white gloves before handling a Gitmo detainee’s taxpayer provided Qur’an; forcing those personnel to comply with the odious Muslim belief that non-Muslims are unclean, and are therefore prohibited from touching Islam’s ‘Holy Book’.
Of course, anyone can handle a Qur’an anywhere else in the free world, even at the Gitmo Base Library; no gloves required.
Can you imagine a Muslim sailor telling his non-Mulim shipmates to don clean, white gloves prior to handling a Qur’an in the ship’s library?
Hope he knows how to swim.
A Catholic priest at the Army’s Chaplain School actually told me this nonsense is considered to be ‘a reasonable religious accommodation’ for the very Gitmo Muslims captured on the battlefield while shooting at some of those ‘filthy’ American servicemembers.
I am unaware of any Muslim or Muslim organization that has publicly decried this stupidity.
This is far and away more stupid than that stupid fake press conference Chertoff’s boys held the other day.

You pose a threat to “military order” by criticizing this nonsense known naively as “the war for the hearts and minds.” As if handling a Quoran (terrorist instruction manual) with white gloves will make Gitmo detainees just love us. I’m actually amazed they haven’t blocked you at other government offices, particularly ICE.

To me a ‘war for hearts and minds’ means the placement of a gunsight or the crosshairs of a scope!!

Sometimes, I wake up in the morning feeling like I am living in the Twilight Zone after reading the latest news stories, including this one about Centcom and their DS Syndrome Disease preventing Internet access.

We are supplying and training the terrorists in Palestine on orders from Condi Rice. You would think that this would be an act of treason but GWB and Condi are asking Congress to fund Fatah with over 400 million of our tax dollars.
