Do I Call ‘Em Or What?: Northwest Dhimmi Airlines Offers Apology, $$$ to Muslim Hajji Whiners

By Debbie Schlussel
I know my airlines.
Earlier today I wrote about Muslims who arrived 20 minutes before a Northwest Airlines flight from Germany back to America, and were not allowed on board. They held press conferences, yesterday, threatening a Muslim boycott of Northwest.
I predicted that Northwest Airlines a/k/a “Dhimmi Air” would capitulate to the Hezbollah-supporting extremist shakedown artists. And guess what? It only took a few hours. CAIR announced today that NWA is giving the Muslims an apology and compensation. CHA-CHING!

Northwest Dhimmi Airlines Gives in to Whining Hezbo Muslims

Contrast this with USAir, which refused to apologize or cave-in to these same groups of Islamist shakedown artists, over the whole Six Flying Imams controversy. And keep that in mind when choosing which airline to fly.
Here’s the press release from HAMAS-front group CAIR announcing the quick cave-in:

MI MUSLIM PILGRIMS OFFERED APOLOGY, COMPENSATION BY NW AIRLINES
(SOUTHFIELD, MI, 1/17/07) – The Michigan office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MI) announced today that Northwest Airlines is offering an apology and limited financial compensation to a group of 40 American Muslim pilgrims who were allegedly denied passage on a January 7th flight returning to Michigan.
The pilgrims say they were denied boarding on a Northwest Airlines flight from Germany to Detroit while returning from the recently-concluded annual Hajj, or pilgrimage to Mecca. Northwest Airlines says the Muslim travelers arrived too late to make the connecting flight. That claim has been refuted by the pilgrims who say they arrived at the gate with time to spare and that they were mistreated by airline representatives.
CAIR-MI held a news conference in Dearborn, Mich., on Tuesday to demand an investigation of the incident. Today, an official of Northwest Airlines told CAIR that the Muslim travelers would receive an apology for the inconvenience they suffered and would be compensated for any extra flight or hotel costs they incurred.
“We welcome Northwest Airlines’ apology and offer of limited compensation as a positive step toward addressing the concerns of the Muslim passengers,” said CAIR-Michigan Executive Director Dawud Walid. Walid also said some of the travelers are considering legal action against the airline.

Game. Set. Match. Northwest Airlines always lets the Islamists win.

I’VE BEEN DENIED BOARDING FOR MANY A FLIGHT B/C I CHECKED IN 29.5 MINUTES BEFORE THE FLIGHT (INSTEAD OF THE REQUIRED 30 MINUTES). I DIDN’T STAGE A PROTEST OR BOYCOTT. I WAS SOL. BUT, HEY, I DON’T SHARE THE RELIGION OF THE 9/11 HIJACKERS, SO I DON’T DESERVE SPECIAL TREATMENT.

We need to bring back the House Un-American Activities Committee and expose CAIR as the subversive organization that it is. They came out of the Trojan Horse of Islam. The enemy is within the gates.

FreeT: Absolutely! A 21st Century HUAC — perhaps better named a “Patriot Committee” — needs to be in the works and on the table. The original HUAC performed many fine and critical services whose reputation Sen. McCarthy tarnished. (He wasn’t even a member of HUAC!) Most Americans, *esp.* most liberals, don’t even know that HUAC is where Richard Nixon earned an eternal place in American history (not to mention Ike’s presidential ticket).
The salient point about a “Patriot Committee” is that it will not be about persecution, but about 1) standards and 2) compliance. Only then would it be about 3) abridgement or suspension of individuals’ rights for failure to live up to 2).
Standards and compliance.

The red flag in the CAIR statement is:
“a postive step toward addressing the concerns”
CAIR spins the issue as if it were open-ended, ambiguously (or rather impossibly) resolved. As if the grievance is immeasurable and, in effect, impossible to compensate. That’s presuming that the grievance has a rational and moral basis inthe first place (which NWA has granted).

Jeremiah: Could you explain to me how Senator, that’s right, Senator Joseph McCarthy could possibly tarnish a committee run by the “House” as in the House of Representatives? Are they not two completely different entities with rules delegated by the constitution? Please, the good Senator had absolutely nothing to do with this committee, and in fact this is a fallacy promoted by the treasonous left to actually tarnish the service of the late Senator McCarthy.
However, your right in that we need something like that in this age of leftist propaganda

Do you think the kow-towing is due to the fact that Northwest is based in Muzzie territory?

I just flew on a business trip via US Airways/America West. I made sure to let them know that I was proud to choose the carrier that said NO to the flying imams–and that wouldn’t back down.
As for NWA–if muslims boycotted, it would be good for business and safer. I will try to steer clear of NWA from now on.

warpmine, ok you caught me being less than perfectly clear: McCarthy tarnished anti-Communism, not HUAC.
You do know that one of his (constructive) critics was none other than Whittaker Chambers, who complained about McCarthy (privately) to William Buckley? See: http://tinyurl.com/2x6a5p
