Um, Debbie, just curious, you keep talking about how Obama is Muslim under Islamic law – but this is the US, and we don’t follow Islamic law. Also, there’s a serious lack of citations in your piece.

According to Jewish tradition, Judaism is, technically, passed on through the mother.

So if someone’s father was Muslim, their mother was Jewish, they’d be… what exactly?

What Debbie says is correct. The Muslim world considers Obama to be a Muslim. My own feelings is that he is an atheist as are all good communists, and he is a good communist. For some reason, the media wants you to believe he is a Christian. Why I do not know. The media hates Christians and Jews! Like Jimmy Carter, I guess they figure it translates into votes.

I am an American Muslim – my family is Muslim American – I was born here, went school here, played football in high school, went to the prom, worked my way through college and now own a business that employs dozens of employees of all races and religions. My grandparents moved here from Iran many years ago to get away from oppression and fear of being persecuted as a Muslim minority. I have darker skin than some – (are you locking your doors yet?) – and I have a beautiful family – all American born. My daughters are 10 years old and 12 years old – and they are scared because they are seeing that people like you and others who agree with you are willing to make them and any Muslim into evil beings, less than white humans who need to be feared. Congratulations, you and your kind have succeeded to scare small, innocent children. None of my family either here or still living in the Middle East believe Obama is a Muslim – so I don’t know where you are getting your facts – but there are at least 50 Muslims that I personally know that don’t believe your outlandish claim. You seem to be overlooking how many things Obama does, in his day-to-day life, that proves he cannot be a practicing Muslim. In fact, many things he has done in his past and is doing now, in some countries in the Middle East would bring down the death penalty on his head. For example – are you insinuating that Michelle Obama is a Muslim too? I don’t think so – look it up. That fact alone should be a slap in the face of reality to you and your followers. As a Muslim, businessman, and the father of worried small children – who, frankly, are much more informed about recent the recent hatred in the U.S. towards Muslims (and also most other world events and world history) – because a) my wife and I are worried about their safety and b) because we don’t want them to grow up as ignorant as you are, you insult our intelligence, our religion (which shares the same God as white christians) and basically put us in danger with all your unsubstantiated rhetoric. I realize we are just the latest focus of rightwing conservatives, like you, who are trying to strike fear in the hearts of ignorant, uneducated middle Americans – or those too lazy to seek out the truth – and hopefully this will blow over once the elections have taken place in November, but I don’t think it should be overlooked that Hitler and the Nazi party started this way – bringing people together by way of fear, lies and hate. Christian or Muslim?
In Obama’s book Audacity of Hope he states, “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.” Now just what the heck are we to make of that statement? Well let’s say the Muslims wanted to build a mosque, in New York, at Ground Zero of the 9-11 attacks. Something like 70 percent of the country thinks it’s a bad idea and are against it. It is legal to do so, but most Americans think it would be bad form to do so. Now Obama has these choices; Stay out of the matter all together and offend no one, say it is a local matter, which it is, and hope to get re-elected in 2012, or at a religious dinner at the White House, for Muslims, he can tell the Muslims they should build on Ground Zero, that they have a right to do so and to hell with the 70 percent of the American people and what they think. Which choice did our Harvard Grad choose? That’s right when it came time to choose, he stood with the Muslims just like he said he would in his book.

Now would this decision seem like that of a sharp want to get re-elected politician or a Muslim?

Liberals, Americans are not afraid of brown people. Americans are a bit afraid of Islamists (and could stand to be a bit more afraid, as the recent Islamist coups in Thailand and Kenya attest), and they are very afraid of Barak Obama. Why? Well, read Dreams of My Father. That will give you a hint of what this man believes in – then trace his long history of communist activism and association with very dangerous communist radicals and Chicago politicians on the take. Then try reading some of the Affordable Healthcare Act – you will see that it is about pretty much the opposite of affordable healthcare – it is about forcing Americans to carry a national I.D. card, nationalization of the student loan business, abolition of medicare funding, forcing insurance companies out of business to make way for a government run healthcare system (aka Nationalization of healthcare). This is fascism, folks. And yes, fascism is a real thing, not a hazy insult to throw at things you don’t like or understand.

If dear leader is so wonderful, why did he just fund a revolution and forced Islamization of Kenya, a (formerly) 90% Christian country? You want some more reading, look up Raila Odinga, Obama’s cousin. Obama spent millions to help elect this corrupt Islamist politician, campaigned publicly with him in Kenya. When his cousin lost he said that Odinga’s people should seek retribution. They did, to the tune of 1500 dead Christians and the forced diaspora of more than 350,000 people.
This is the face of American Communism. An Islamist Communist. I’ve seen everything now.

First of all, Obama is not a Muslim. We could bicker endlessly about technicalities, but the definite, indisputable reason Obama is not a Muslim is because he has accepted Jesus as his savior. As Americans, one of our central shared values–a sentiment that was first indoctrinated into the declaration of independence by out founding fathers–is that an individual is who he creates himself to be through self-determination. He is NOT limited by the conditions of his birth.

More significantly, I highly resent the insinuation that having a Muslim in office would be such a terrible thing. MUSLIMS ARE NOT THE ENEMY!! Muslims are no more or less a part of God’s miraculous creation than any Christian. Muslims are human beings who laugh, love, cry, and pray for peace. Many of them are also honest, hardworking American citizens. Terrorists are the enemy, and though few and far between (mercifully), they come from all creeds and religions–Christianity included. I’m generally pretty mild-mannered, but this sort of blind, pseudo-righteous racism makes my blood absolutely boil. Good grief!

If there are any followers of Islam who happen to read this, please know that for every Christian out there who preaches ignorant, fearful hatred, there is another Christian standing in solidarity with their Muslim brothers and sisters–we’re often just less vocal 🙂

Obamacare is at best can be an utter failure in regard to “fixing the healthcare industry” as it does NOTHING to bring down costs, which is the REAL problem. What it DOES do however is unconstitutionally “require” Americans to buy something from private industry, furthering the real problem of the insurrance industry having too much control over medical treatment in spite of Obama’s proclaimed intent to put Americans health back in the hands of the doctors and the patients being treated, accomplishing the exact opposite of it’s promise in that way. Obama and his crew have ignored and defied federal courts which have declare Obamacare unconstitutional, and are determined to waste billions, if not trillions of dollars persuing their health care plans by the time it reaches the supreme court, who will have no legal alternative but to acknowlege that it is in fact unconstatutional and beyond the governments authority to force upon Americans who don’t want it.
Muslim or not, himself, Obama HAS continued to do this country FAR more harm than good in more ways, and on more occassions than I care to cite, and if my failure to cite anything bothers you then go do a little homework and you’ll EASILY see what I’m talking about. He’s determined to create a “Socialist America”, something the VAST majority of this country is STRONGLY against, and has regularly failed to uphold the office of President in his support of destructive special interest groups, many of THEM specificly Muslim in nature, and openly anti-American in their goals. So regardless of his proclaimed religion, he is a threat to the constitutional way of American life, and to the financial security of this nation, as regardless of the Bush spending issues, which I agree were problematic, Obama and his congressional croanies have spent taxpayer money at every opportunity and are determined to keep doing so while they solve our problems by just printing more and more of it, unchecked… Obama will destroy the value of the dollar where Bush simply put us into serious debt, and that is the major difference between the two, in my opinion.

Funny to read these remarks 4 1/2 years later…Now that we’ve witnessed countless “lone-wolf” attacks, as well as mass attacks killing school children, beheading women, and selling girls as sex slaves. We see how he treats Israel and all the muslim brotherhood members in high government positions.

I hope you aren’t related to the two NYC police officers shot in the back of their heads while sitting in their cop car today — by a muslim. And I hope you didn’t have kin at Ft. Hood when a muslim committed the “Ft. Hood massacre.”

Too bad the rest of us have to suffer the left/black/islamist threat every day now because you trusted this man.
