Bronx Prez to USA: No Mosque & State Separation

I’ve said it repeatedly over the years, and I’ll say it again. There is no separation between mosque and state, only between church and state and synagogue and state. To me, that’s of far more concern than a mosque near Ground Zero.

And if there was any question, New York City’s Borough of the Bronx and its Borough President, Ruben Diaz, Jr. wants you to know, the question has been answered . . . with tax dollars subsidizing Ramadan Iftar dinners and their courthouse location (who said justice is blind? It’s now Muslim with 20/20 vision).

Also note that the Bronx Tourism Council is helping sponsor this event. So I guess they want more Muslims, including legal and illegal aliens to come on over.

I wonder if when Israel attacks Iran Obama will forcefully state that Israel has the absolute right to defend herself.. somehow I doubt it. Myself, I hope someone finds his thesis, the LA times dinner video they held back, and tape of his anti American protests, because we know he took part in them. How disturbing this all is.

Portions of the Bronx now have a significant Muslim presence. On Pelham Parkway, there is a major hospital, Jacobi/Albert Einstein, and Muslims are present in numbers, both as staffers and as patients. They are conspicuous by their attire; all the women wear hijabs, some even full burkhas. Many of the men wear distinctive Muslim garb as well. All small grocery stores and most gas stations in that part of the borough are owned or at least managed by Muslims – there’s no avoiding buying gas from them if one cannot drive to another location to purchase fuel. Near the hospital, on Lydig Avenue and vicinity, increasing numbers of Muslim women, some wearing burkhas or niqabs, many children in tow, are seen shopping. In one larger but still independently owned grocery store, a large, cheap tapestry was seen hanging on a wall showing the Temple Mount, with the two mosques, and an Arabic inscription below them – I can well imagine the message. There are still Jews in the area but they are largely very elderly and should be considered essentially a remnant population – the area used to be ninety per cent Jewish until about twenty years ago. The synagogue where I was bar mitzvahed still stands, but there are few congregants left and I fear its days are numbered. I was informed that the building has been vandalized repeatedly, and the chief suspects were, of course, Muslims. (Around the corner, a private home was converted into a mosque – I don’t know if this was legal or not, but the mosque is the only non-residential property on this block. Not too far away, I discovered a second, larger Islamic center, which is used as a madrassah. On its front door was (this was about three years ago, and I haven’t been back to the area since) a placard decrying the plight of the Palestinian Muslims. Above the front door, a banner read something along the lines of “Christians – see what the Quran says about Jesus,” so obviously the place also serves as a center for da’wa. Not far from there, I came upon a halal slaughterhouse, advertising the availability of rabbits, goats, etc.
So certain sections of the Bronx are going the way of Dearborn.

At least the New York governor has the sense to realize this mosque is a horrible idea.

Jgrant, you’re absolutely right, the Bronx is a dump, it’s one big-ass ghetto. i used to be an intern in the Bronx Supreme Courthouse, and then used to work as a lawyer in an office across the street from it and in the Bronx housing court. it’s a huge piece of shit of a land mass, and why our tax dollars need to fund a “tourism office” just leaves me speechless. finally, muslims are evil, liberals are suckers and i hope the moronic white people who voted for B. Hussein in 2008 come to their senses in 2012 and vote for ANYONE but him. i’d take dennis kucinich ovr Hussein.

The Bronx includes Riverdale, Ft. Tryon Park, Inwood Park which contains a totally wild and natural wooded area and the Jumal Massion, build during the Colonial period. It is home to Fordham University. The Bronx was the area where the Dutch had their early farms and don’t forget Van Cortland park, the Zoo and Botanical Gardens.
Parts of it are blighted but the idea of bringing tourists to the truly noteworthy areas is designed to improve that situation.

In Canada there’s no separation of church/mosque state. Thus Canada’s federal government can assist in building Muslim “cultural centers”, etc, etc. (The problem here in Canada, imo, is that some groups are apparently “above the law” — there’s an ongoing double standard — so, if you’re a Muslim immigrant and you strangle your daughter, give the judge a sob story, you won’t spend a day in jail; you’ll get an automatic “get out of jail free” card…and the double standards go on and on..)

Should also add, just as the above-article about the Bronx President using taxpayers monies to fund a Muslim dinner illustrates, it’s not just “a problem” with Muslims — it’s as much “a problem” of the majority culture (ie, non-Muslims) caving in to demands, or kow-towing, when they should be standing up for age-old principles enshrined in the US Constitution, such as separation of mosque and state. Instead of standing up, they cave. (Frankly, I don’t fully understand this process…but I wish it would stop.)
