Hypocrite of the Day: Muslim Immigration Enabler Dan Senor “Upset” About Ground Zero Mosque

By Debbie Schlussel

I’ve written repeatedly (here and here) about my feelings on the proposed Ground Zero mosque a/k/a Cordoba House, an issue which is a red herring used by grandstanders and publicity seeking frauds.  You know who they are (Scamela alert, Newt alert, Sarah alert).  If they were truly bothered by a mosque there, they’d be bothered, as I am, by a mosque anywhere in America.  And they’d be bothered by the other mosque, which is already in existence right near Ground Zero.  But they aren’t.  This is about an opportunity for self-promotion and intellectual dishonesty quickly consumed by the gullible.  Today, they are up in arms that they did not get historical landmark designation for this building, a designation which they never sought when it was Burlington Coat Factory, so it’s yet more intellectual fraud and hypocrisy.  But there’s a bigger hypocrite than all of them on this issue.

Dan Senor, Shameless Hypocrite & Fraud

The hypocrite of the day–especially on the Ground Zero mosque issue–is Dan Senor, the shamelessly self-promoting incompetent architect of the disastrous first months of the War in Iraq, as a top Senior “Coalition” Adviser.  As I’ve noted before, he was behind Paul Bremer’s stupid policy of removing all Sunni remnants from any place in the new Iraqi police and army, effectively handing those. to Iran’s Shi’ite backers forever and to date.  But, today, his hypocrisy is on Cordoba House.  He has a piece in today’s Wall Street Journal decrying the mosque.  And it ties nicely into what I’ve been saying–about hypocrites using this issue for self-aggrandizement when they’ve been wrong on every part of the larger picture that caused the very idea and possibility of the Ground Zero mosque in the first place.

You see, Dan Senor is behind the increase in Muslim illegal immigration in America, the increase in Muslim illegal aliens who overstayed their student and tourist visas here.  And Senor is behind nearly $100 million in US aid that went straight to Hezbollah in South Lebanon in 2000.  And he’s behind putting CAIR–a partner in and supporter of the Ground Zero mosque–in high regard on Capitol Hill.

Senor’s political career began as he rose to Press Secretary and key advisor to and apologist for then-U.S. Senator Spencer Abraham.  He stood up for and defended Abraham when Abraham, as a committee chairman, starved all money for a computer tracking system for aliens who come here on visas.  Senor stood up for and served as chief apologist for Abraham when he did this at the behest of pro-Hezbollah/HAMAS James Zogby of the Arab American Institute.  And he stood up for and shilled for Abraham as Abraham sought nearly $300 million in U.S. aid for Hezbollah in South Lebanon, also at Zogby’s urging.  Ultimately, Abraham succeeded in getting $86 million.  Imagine how many missiles and rockets and terror training camps that funded.  And Senor continued to be Abraham’s chief apologist as Abraham took CAIR’s officials all over Capitol Hill and made them a force to be reckoned with.  Ditto when Abraham was one of two U.S. Senators who refused to sign a letter to President Clinton urging him to tell Yasser Arafat to stop the homicide bombings in Israel, at the height of those attacks.

Yup, Dan Senor was there all the way for each of these things his then-boss did.  And, later on, even after he left Abraham’s employ for finer pastures at business school and then the Bin Laden invested Carlyle Group, Senor continued to serve as Abraham’s Jewish dhimmi apologist, writing letters from Boston to the editor of the Detroit Jewish News in defense of Abraham, when I raised these issues during Abraham’s failed re-election campaign.  Senor invoked the “I’m Jewish and I worked for him” BS.

So, if Dan Senor is truly concerned about a mosque at Ground Zero, where the heck was he when some Senators and the then-INS tried to crack down on Muslim and other illegal aliens who overstay their visas?  He was deadset against them.  And that’s why we have more and more Muslims in our midst who need more mosques, including at Ground Zero.  Dan Senor, Hypocrite.

But don’t worry.  Hypocrisy, fraud, and showing us several faces is par for the course for Dan Senor.  So, at least he’s consistent on something.  After helping Abraham send tens of millions to Hezbollah, Senor wrote an article in the Wall Street Journal decrying Hezbollah (and wrongfully praising Argentinian President Carlos Menem as a good guy and peacemaker who opposed Iran, when in fact, it was well known that Menem accepted $5-10 million in bribes to stop any investigation into the Hezbollah bombing of the Buenos Aires Jewish Community Center and cover up Iran’s involvement).

And, of course, in the last year, Dan Senor who worked against Israel with Abraham to make a name for himself in Republican politics continued his hypocrisy by writing a book (“Start-Up Nation”) about Israeli start up companies and pretending to be Israel’s friend.

Sadly, Senor gets away with this hypocrisy because gullible, ignorant morons throughout the Jewish community, the pro-Israel community, and at FOX News–where he is a FOX News “contributor”–think this guy’s excrement smells like roses.

But talk is cheap, and so is the printed word.  The printed word in his book . . . and the printed word in his op-ed on the Ground Zero mosque in today’s Wall Street Journal.  (And that’s not to mention his marriage to quickie-fake-conversion-to-Judaism chick Campbell Brown, who gushingly interviewed leaders of HAMAS for NBC News and unethically fawned over the Saudi Prince when she simultaneously covered the Bush White House and “dated” (euphemism) Saudi flack and now Ambassador Adel Al-Jubeir.  Somebody has a thing for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s sloppy seconds . . . or in her case, thirds, fourths, or hundredths.)

When it counted–stopping Muslim illegal aliens from disappearing in our midst, stopping their political and PR shop from becoming an influential force–Dan Senor was on the wrong side.

And that my friends is Exhibit A in the trite old saying, “Actions speak louder than words.”

Dan Senor’s actions speak volumes.  His words–on Israel, on the Ground Zero mosque, on Hezbollah–could fertilize the world.

Our Republic guarantees our freedom to practice whatever religion we want, but what if your religion denies individuals such a right?

Mohammad did not allow people to choose their religion.

Volume 9, Book 84, Number 57; Narrated Ikrima: Some Zanadiqa (atheists) were brought to Ali {the fourth Caliph} and he burnt them. The news of this event, reached Ibn ‘Abbas who said, “If I had been in his place, I would not have burnt them, as Allah’s Apostle forbade it, saying, “Do not punish anybody with Allah’s punishment (fire).” I would have killed them according to the statement of Allah’s Apostle, “Whoever changes his Islamic religion, then kill him.”

Wow, the cognitive dissonance on this thread is crazy! You realize there is a huge difference between Nineteen Thugs and 1.5 Billion Muslims! To conflate them all together is re-tarded. You can’t whine that the Government should stay out of people’s lives, then want the Government to prohibit a Religious Site is crazy. There are no exceptions to freedom, the first amendment.

Well, well, well…(much of this I wasn’t aware of, some of it I had heard about, but I didn’t connect the dots with the “Start-up Nation” book and C. Brown). Thanks Debbie for keeping us informed…(btw, is there *another* mosque at ground zero? what’s the “other mosque”, if I may ask..?)

[Rick: Mohammad did not allow people to choose their religion.]

And neither did Yahweh of the OT. Seriously this my religion is better than your religion is stupid.

[Rick: Our Republic guarantees our freedom to practice whatever religion we want, but what if your religion denies individuals such a right?]

It’s irrelevant as long as such religion doesn’t deny people their rights in America.

[DS:If they were truly bothered by a mosque there, they’d be bothered, as I am, by a mosque anywhere in America.]

Gee, Debs, exactly how do you square that with the constitution or are you just simply ‘bothered’ but wouldn’t do anything if you could? And what about your guy, Giuliani? He called Islam a great religion. I wonder what his opinion would be if he hasn’t given one already on this issue.

Norman Blitzer on August 3, 2010 at 4:30 pm

Hey Norm, since when do our rights come from a piece of paper?
Did you sign the Constitution? i.e. are you a contracting party, able to enforce the contract if it’s breached?
Then how the hell can that piece of paper protect you or anybody else? Stop living in the old Testament! There is a new covenant that applies to all of mankind, and it’s called the new testament. Is it written on Parchment? Yes. Are you a party to it? Yes, even if your Godless, or Muslim [same thing]. Are you expected to live under the covenants of the new testament laws? Yes. Does it apply to you and everyone else on Earth? Yes! So STOP CHARGING YOUR BROTHER!. Or in this case YOUR SISTER {Debbie]. Did Jesus teach us to go around killing infidels, as your False Prophet Mohammad teaches? NO! So how can you call Islam a religion of peace, when they teach you to kill ALL infidels? Sounds like warfare to me.
    WTF care’s about Guliani? He’s old news…

Who cares? on August 3, 2010 at 5:34 pm

In my part of the Bible, what you call the “Old” Testament the words “eternal covenant with the Jewish people” comes up many times. We are not bound by your spurious copy of it. We are the Covenant People for all time. You are bound strictly by the Seven Law G-d gave Noah, the Noachide covenant, as are all non-Jews.

NOrm, it’s extremely offensive to write out the name of G-d.

Giuliani has come out against the mosque on that site. I believe the NY Daily news had something on it yesterday. 8/3/2010.

I had seen Giuliani’s comments earlier yesterday but forgot where so I googled. I don’t know if this is a Debbie approved blog or not but his remarks are quoted in their entirety herein. Apologies if there’s a problem with the blog owner.

“It’s irrelevant as long as such religion doesn’t deny people their rights in America.”

Norm, are you argumentative, naive, or just plain stupid?

One more time with feeling:

Volume 9, Book 84, Number 57; Narrated Ikrima: Some Zanadiqa (atheists) were brought to Ali {the fourth Caliph} and he burnt them. The news of this event, reached Ibn ‘Abbas who said, “If I had been in his place, I would not have burnt them, as Allah’s Apostle forbade it, saying, “Do not punish anybody with Allah’s punishment (fire).” I would have killed them according to the statement of Allah’s Apostle, “Whoever changes his Islamic religion, then kill him.”

Rick on August 3, 2010 at 4:43 pm

[Rick: Norm, are you argumentative, naive, or just plain stupid?]

None of the above Rick. But you are clearly stupid. Read below.

[Who cares?: Are you expected to live under the covenants of the new testament laws? Yes.]

NO!!!
Treaty of Tripoli:

Art. 11. As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion,—as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen[ie.,Muslims],—and as the said States never entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.

Norman Blitzer on August 3, 2010 at 6:42 pm

The U.S., under duress, signed treaties and paid tributes.
The terms of the treaty were inconsequential. Citing late payments of tribute, the Pasha of Tripoli, in 1801, declared war on the United States.

I encourage everyone to read about the Barbary Coast wars, because people who fail to learn history are doomed to repeat it.

harmony?

You are clearly mad.

Rick on August 3, 2010 at 7:54 pm

What most Americans don’t want to accept is what Norm says about the basis of the Constitution NOT being from Christianity. It is pure Freemasonry which incorporates Christian principles just as it incorporates Islamic, Judaic, Gnostic, Zoroastran, Buddhist and Mithraic principles among others including Ancient Mystery “wisdom.” All of these have some common denominators and those are stressed, e.g. charity but no one takes precedence. Washington D.C. is one big Masonic symbol and cipher.

    mk750 on August 4, 2010 at 3:01 am

That’s always been a trick of Islam: use P/C as a virtue against a host nation. What America needs is a “real” zero-tolerance for any radical ideology masquerading as a “peaceful religion.

I can’t fathom even the most bleeding-heat lefty being “tolerant” of this Sharia law. It may have an upside though- can you imagine horse-face Joy Behar being forced to wear a burka?

Patrick Power on August 3, 2010 at 9:09 pm

In other words Senor is a CIA operative driven by Brzenski’s so-called Al-Qaeda as a spy for them!

Bob Porrazzo on August 3, 2010 at 9:18 pm

What I find (somewhat) puzzling, is this — doesn’t the city of New York have zoning laws? I’ve read silly comments about how “Individual X owns building Y, therefore he can do whatever he wants; it’s his property.” Well, excuse me, I don’t think it works that way. What if someone purchases a cemetery then decides to put up a Casino? You just can’t build whatever you want, wherever you want it, and the community be damned. I think the zoning by-laws need to be changed — have the 9/11 area designated as a memorial site, and not allow any new buildings there…especially NO mosques, NO churches, NO temples, etc., being built. (in deference to those who died.)

J.S. on August 3, 2010 at 9:48 pm

Why dont we just sacrifice a few pigs down at Ground Zero and be done with the whole issue?

Barry on August 3, 2010 at 11:40 pm

As you may already know, I am considerably more hard-line than most of the counterjihad community. I am against any mosques being built anywhere.

Islam is not a religion in any sense that non-Muslims understand, and it does not deserve First Amendment protection as a religion. From the beginning Islam was, still is, and will always be, an expansionist, enemy, totalitarian political ideology masquerading as a religion, that seeks to rid the world of everything other than itself.

The only real difference between Nazism, Communism, and Islam is that the first two did not gain undeserved Constitutional protections in the US by passing themselves off as religions.

1389AD on August 4, 2010 at 6:18 am

Seems like this discussion has gone off topic. Re Senor (sorry I’m commenting so late), supporting Israel’s economic development is a risk-free way of supporting Israel on non-controversial issues while avoiding the sensitive political issues. But it is also the way preferred by his enablers, e.g. Fox News, Michael Medved, etc.

Debbie deserves credit for saying the things that no one else does, wherever the chips fall.

Little Al on August 4, 2010 at 5:23 pm

“Seems like this discussion has gone off topic.”

Debbie’s states that she against ANY mosque in the U.S. I agree. Islam, by its very nature, is anti-American. The two can not coexist.

Rick on August 4, 2010 at 10:23 pm

THANK YOU!! this answers my question: why the hell did the US open the borders with Iran 3 days after entering Iraq in 2003.
