Elephants vs. Islamists: Where’s Animals For the Ethical Treatment of Humans?

By
Hard to decide for whom to root in the battle between extremist Muslims and wild elephants.
Yesterday, wild elephants rampaged through the Bangladeshi village of Bashkhali, trampling to death five members of a family, while they were asleep in their hut.
As you’ll recall, Bangladesh is the extremist Muslim nation which imprisoned and newspaper editor , for daring to try to travel to Israel, and is now seeking the death penalty against him. Given that, it’s hard to shed a tear for something that just might be an act of natural selection where human barbarians are eliminated by wildlife barbarians.
Still, since we always hear from so-called animal rights groups whenever a human sneezes in an animal’s direction, one wonders where their condemnations are when animals clearly and deliberately murdered humans.

“Humanitarian” Elephants Play with Bones

Well, predictably, they’re blaming the humans. Ainun Nishat, of IUCN–The World Conservation Union (a PETA-style animal-apologist group), told AP that the victims deserved it:

Elephants sometimes wander into residential areas looking for food but usually do not attack “without a valid reason.”
“Maybe once the area was a source of food, or somebody from the localities had caused injuries to one of the elephants,” Nishat said. He said elephants often become angry when they find homes or other establishments where they once used to roam.

So absurd, it’s hilarious.

Debbie, youíre right. And it appears that Ainun Nishat of IUCN, doesnít know that wild animals are unpredictable and can turn on humans without reason. It happens all the time. No tears from me either.

There is a lot of animal behavior study that shows elephants to be that intelligent and territorial. There are many well documented incidents of elephants attacking in groups to just cause damage to an area (not taking food).
You may want to check out a special on the National Geographic channel called “Elephants: The Dark Side” . It is playing again on Friday November 10th, at 4 PM Eastern Time.

AP – Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has openly called for the 12th imam to materialize from the depths of Hell, and for her to wipe Israel AND the elephants of Bangladesh off the face of the Earth.

“Hard to decide for whom to root in the battle between extremist Muslims and wild elephants.”
“Hard” in what way? I’m actually pretty comfortable choosing sides in this one.
ELEPHANTS RULE!

Animals are not capable of abstract thought. Therefore, this kook (Nishat) continues to promote his ignorance about the nature of WILD ANIMALS!!

hhhmmmm……who to root for….Elephants or Muslims……I’m going with the Elephants. Yeah, definitely the Elephants.
But I don’t think Elephants can be accused of “murder”…that term seems rather harsh. I like to think they are engaging in the war on terror and have no qualms about ethno-religious profiling.

Debbie, in case you didn’t know, animal rights groups in the Indian subcontinent are generally much worse than PETA.
In India, there are many instances of children being killed – ripped apart by packs of dogs – and the authorities cannot do anything because the animal rights groups come swooping on the government if they even try to catch the dogs.

I think it is obvious that the American/Israeli intelligence apparatus trained those elephants to go after sleeping Muslims. I heard that a bus loaded with Jews left the area just hours before the travesty.

Southernops: That is what the Pakistanis and Indian Mozlums are going to come up with in a day or two — “this must be a work of Mossad….”
They always blame Bush or the right-wing Hindu groups for anything that happens to them, even if two Mozlums kill each other in a brawl, the finger of suspicion points to the wicked Mossad or right-wing Hindoooz. But when thousands of Indians (mostly Hindus) die in terrorist attacks in various parts of India, they don’t care a shit.
God bless our wonderful neighbors (Pakistan and Bangladesh) with more earthquakes and elephant attacks.

Hands down the wild elephants are more civilized. They care for their young while muslims send their children on suicide missions.

You seem to have some misinformation about Salah Uddin Shoaib Chowdhury. He is a free man. He had ran into some problem with the ruling party BNP and their coalition parter Islamic party Jamaat-e-Islami.
Interesting fellow this Salah Uddin Shoaib Chowdhury is. He was a mouthpiece of Daily Inquilab, an Islamist run newspaper in Bangladesh during the 90s. From Islamic fundamentalism he had a sudden switch to leaning in direction to Israel.
If you own a Bangladeshi passport like me, the only country you are not allowed to go is Israel. If I remember his first arrest couple of years ago was because he wanted to go to Israel and that prompted some ruling coalition goon to take the chance of retaliation against him by using law. Earlier he messed with some of his partners regarding his shares at the proposed Inquilab TV, a mouthpiece of Jamaat-e-Islami. The Bangladesh ambassador to USA told last year that Shoaib Chowdhury was arrested because of property related case and not for his views.
The BNP/Jamaat current coalition is showing their power on him and I think the lynch mob was none other than BNP goons. And the Bullshit mytyh of Muslim mob nailing pro-Israily journalist is nothing but trying to create sympathy from certain quarters. People barely know Shoaib in Bangladesh.
Probably Salh Uddin Chowdhury has pissed also the civil society of Bangladesh that nobody is taking time to listen to him. The Bangladesh press is free and persecution of journalists cause much steer in the civic society. I have circulated the news among other Bangladeshi bloggers and known journalists whether they know the latest status. So far I am yet to get a reply.
Its surprising that there is almost nothing on this except in his mouthpiece The weekly Blitz.
And let there be no ambiguity that he is still a free man and and unless we hear a second source verifying every word of Chowdhury, things still look dodgy. In Bangladesh there has never been a sedition case before and he is unlikely to be awarded the capital punishment without much public outrage within a short time. So some contemplates whether Chowdhury’s case is a cry wolf scenario.
The BNP government has to relinquish power on 27th of this month and there will be an interim (caretaker) government. So I think it will soon be revealed whether the BNP government exercised some misuse of power to cause Chowdhury the miseries.
So no need to take on your rage to Muslims in General or beat around in bush thinking every Bangladeshi is your ho-ho type Mullah. Please learn more about Bangladesh before stereotyping.
