HOprah Watch: NYTimes Frank Rich on “Truth in America”

By
Today, HOprah is having a phony, biased “Town Hall” with New York Times columnist Frank Rich, talking about his lefty new book against the War in Iraq and the Bush Administration. The name of this episode of the Oprah show is “Truth in America.”
They should subtitle it, “is not found on the Oprah Winfrey Show.”
Is there any doubt where HOprah stands politically? Read more on why Oprah Sucks.

For the record, I know and am friendly with Frank Rich, because he once attacked me in his NYTimes column, but in a very nice and respectful way. We’ve had a friendly set of conversations and keep in touch. He’s a very nice guy, personally, but politically, I rarely agree with what he writes. And the book is just BS.

The Frank Rich attack: are you referring to the criticism in “How Dirty Harry Turned Commie”?

Just read Oprah’s site’s link to Rich you included. That is an astonishing, center-stage roll-out for an author. No way she wouldn’t shine her light on him if she wasn’t largely in agreement.
Yet two points in its favor (wait! don’t scream at your computer screen!): the young vet who complained that the media ignored American/Iraqi building projects, and her 7 common-sense suggestions on how to think critically.

She’s always sneaking in Dems under the guise of global warming or whatever isse shows, but at least she had an honest discussion on this one. She let pro-US people speak, and they came off much better than Ms. Thing from the audience screaming I WANT AN APOLOGY!
High point: not one person raised their hand when she asked who believed the “lie” (per Rich) that Saddam had something to do with 9/11 and that’s why we went to war. It’s always been the liberal contention that we’re stupid and that’s why we support the war.
