Space Age: Israel Makes Airplanes Disappear in the Sky

By Debbie Schlussel

Very cool.  We are definitely in the space age .  .  . at least in some places, like Israel.  The JIDF has a very interesting entry on how Israeli company, Nanoflight, has  developed “magical” camouflage paint that makes planes, missiles, and war craft disappear off the radar!  Wow.  Check it the details.  I looked for the company’s website, but I think they painted it with that magic paint because I can’t find it.

Wonderful news! Now, let’s keep it from EVERYONE except Israel.

Gee, how smart is it to publish all of the details if this is truly a strategic military application of technology? Kind of like the US publishing the number of nuclear warheads in its inventory. Maybe its disinformation, which would be kind of interesting. But if its for real, I hope they’ll stock it at Sherwin Williams and the guys over at Lockheed throw a coat on all those planes rolling off the assembly line in Fort Worth! Go Israel!

Bill Roberts on July 14, 2010 at 2:49 pm

Wow this is a good fine Debbie! Is there anyway for Israel to paint the entire land and all of its people in this so the rest of humanity doesn’t have to see them? If so, that would be excellent. Even better if the paint had dissolving abilities like acid!

I want to be FIRST to welcome Mo DS.

Now, why don’t you make like a tree and leaf?

What does DS stand for? Dumb Sh*t?

Debbie, the US has had already deployed this technology. Nobody has detected actual leadership in Washington for about 18 months!

Next they should turn their attention on how to make iran magically disappear, permanently.

Now wait a minute…

I thought we’re supposed to be celebrating Muslim scientific achievements.

Allen on July 14, 2010 at 4:06 pm

If this is true. It was incrediabale stupid to have notified the world.

Bernard on July 14, 2010 at 4:20 pm

There’s no security compromise here. If the technology is real, the terrorist mulsim nations are just seeing blank space on their radars. If it’s just PSYOPS, the muslim terrorist nations are scrambling planes and wasting resources doing recon for imagined threats that aren’t there. The key (and funny part) is that muslims are too stupid to do anything but to continue to lob cheap chinese and soviet missiles purchased with oil money and dhimmi contributions into Israeli civilian centers and blow themselves up with TNT belts hidden under their smelly burquas.

Quorum on July 14, 2010 at 7:01 pm

Israel began working on nano technology several years ago and they’re now counted among the world’s leaders in the field. It’s standing is only going to rise as the new nano center at Bar Ilan University, which just opened, is fully staffed.

Like many of the commenters, I’d prefer that such “surprises” show (or don’t show) themselves when they’re most critical. My suspicion is that a startup is in the wings and someone is trying to build “buzz”. Thus the revelation at this early stage gives the enemy time to work on countermeasures.

But I take issue with Bill Roberts suggestion that they “stock it at Sherwin Williams” and make it available to Lockheed. This is certainly not something we want the enemy to get their hands on. (I’m sure that wasn’t his intent.) ABM technology like Arrow needs to see the missile before it can respond to it. And Israel is better off painting its planes themselves. The more it can rely on its own resources, the better.

Apropos ABM, I’m reading today that India is looking to procure Israel’s Iron Dome and David’s Sling missile defense systems.

lolol Frikken aay! That’ll spook that bearded-clam in Iran. It’ll be like near the end of that old movie “The Warriors.” HEY AHMADINEJAD…COME OUT TO PLAAAAAY! Go Israel!

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

patrick on July 14, 2010 at 8:48 pm

The only way the muzzies could ever get this technology is by stealing it. There is no way they could develop something like this on their own. They’d probably still be in the stone age wondering around like nomads in the desert if nobody discovered oil in the middle east.

Jarhead on July 14, 2010 at 8:52 pm

I have to wonder how well Iran’s Russian-built radar system is going to cope with this. Heh heh heh.

rglovejoy on July 14, 2010 at 10:28 pm

Excellent news. And, I agree with Quorum’s analysis.

JeffE on July 14, 2010 at 11:15 pm

I’m waiting til they figure out a way to make Israel invisible.

Heh

NormanF on July 14, 2010 at 11:51 pm

Arabs already have a way of making things disappear. By strapping a homicide bomb belt around themselves.

Bill on July 15, 2010 at 12:56 am

Magical camouflage paint? Does this mean some guy can jump into a vat of it and then sneak into rock concerts without paying? Or perhaps the lady’s dressing room at the local gym? Hell, the moment Harry Potter threw on that overcoat that made him invisible, I’ll bet that’s what half the guys in any given audience immediately thought of.

Daniel H on July 15, 2010 at 2:49 am

Hate to rain on the parade but it’s been around for years. It’s called “iron ball paint” and is used on the F117 and Stealth bomber. It was readily available from McMaster Carr until someone in government wised up.

Hartwood on July 15, 2010 at 4:01 am

You’ll just love this guy.

Jew haters of Columbine on July 15, 2010 at 9:58 am

Don’t underestimate Iranian science and technology. It might be better than you think, although perhaps not at the level of Israel or the U.S. I heard it described as “pretty good” by a former Technion president who was also head of Rafael, one of the primary defense companies in Israel. He was also a former general. He would know.

BethesdaDog on July 18, 2010 at 4:35 am

Just from a few minutes reading, it appears that RAM (radar absorbent materials), including iron ball paint, are not new. I suspect that this is something different from iron ball paint, otherwise, why would somebody in Israel be working on just reinventing the wheel? It’s probably something that works somewhat differently from the other available technologies. Whether it will be superior, I don’t know. Israel technologists, and the Technion in particular, have been very aggressive in pushing nanotechnology.
