Omen?: Iran Cheats in Weighlifting Contest

By
How can we trust Ahmadinejad to negotiate in good faith over nuclear materiel when he can’t even be trusted in a simple weightlifting competition?
The Iranian team–for the World Weightlifting Championships in the Dominican Republic, to begin Friday–was forced to withdraw after nine of eleven Iranian weighlifters tested positive for doping.
The country cheats in every arena imaginable.
Oh, and what ever happened to that August 31 deadline we gave Ahmadinejad? More of the Model that will be our death.
Rodney Dangerfield is laughing from his grave. No wonder we now get less respect than he did.

Muslim pride is a fragile thing and needs constant boosters whether with deranged rallies, cheating at weight lifting contests or threatening to kill millions of people.

On a related weightlifting note, an American recently won the World’s Strongest Man competition in China. The first since 1982. The link to the story is http://www.wvgazette.com/section/Sports/2006092522
Don’t read the editorial page of this rag, however. Big Phil Pfister is a Fireman from Charleston, WV.

following is the list of all the doping in 2004 scandal. They are christans, jewish, hindu and muslim and many other religion! question is what does religion or nationailty has to do with DRUG scandal. Debbie is making over simplication on this as usual. [EDITED BY DEBBIE FOR BEING WAY TOO LONG.]
YOU SIMPLY DO NOT GET THE POINT. THE OTHERS YOU MENTIONED WERE MOSTLY SINGLE CASES. IN THIS CASE, IT IS ALMOST THE ENTIRE TEAM, AND YES, THEY ARE THE TEAM FROM THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN. I KNOW YOU DON’T LIKE THAT, BUT FACTS ARE FACTS. IN THE FUTURE, PLEASE LIMIT THE LENGTH OF YOUR COMMENTS. THEY ARE WAY TOO LONG AND DISCOURAGE OTHERS FROM POSTING OR READING OTHER COMMENTS.

thirdgoatfromthesun,
that’s all very impressive.
must have taken you a while to put that together.
now do another list, for me, if you will, please.
from your list, please indicate the countries that are currently in violation of UN deadlines for U enrichment procedures.
from your list, please indicate the countries that are in violation of IAEA inspections regulations.
from your list, please indicate the countries whose president has call for the annihilation of the country of israel.
i am sure that this list will be equally long and extensive.
i would appreciate you help in this matter.
thanking you in advance.

Deb, what d’ya expect from a country full of dopes?

KOAJaps on September 26, 2006 at 4:02 pm

The Iranians have always had a good weightlifting team, winning Olympic medals long before Ahmadinejad was even elected president. What a drug scandal has to do with nuclear enrichment talks is beyond me. Using that same vein of thought, you could point to the number of U.S. cyclists, football, baseball, track athletes that have admitted to doping or have been caught in the last decade..and you know Iran does not have the benefit of a lab like BALCO or an association like the USTAFA or the USOC to cover it all up. These aren’t just single cases either. Especially in light of the recent admission by U.S. Cyclists and the Track and Field association.

. . . . . . and carry a toothpick, Exactly!
We, the crass unwashed, agree that the Jihadists are thriving and multiplying on our series of pulled punches since before overlooking the 1983 bombing of 241 Marines in Lebanon.
I, being more crude than average, suggested months ago the precision bunker busting of Iran*s 24 – plus nuclear plants.
That would have pre-empted the recent Lebanon / Israel war and focussed conflict where it belongs… in IRAN.
Iran and *Madmud* who support Hezbollah who draw fire upon little people in Lebanon and peel off greenbacks to make them happy.
Iran and the clerics who support Muqtada al Sadr and his *Black bands* who dash about Basra and other Iraq areas in Toyota pickups, lopping off non-paying ransomed heads. [The Red Zone .. Steven Vincent].
The Pope had nothing to apologize for!
It*s obvious that the clerics have ordered uprisings on any and all of the slighest affronts.
How foolish we are to pull our punches while they continue to close in. = TG

Ms. Debbie
In no where my post that I am mad because the suspended team is from Iran. What I said is doping in a sports even has nothing to do with the national security issue for us like WMD. I said you are taking a position based on a sport event and that is not appropriate. Following is a group scandal and we can not judge the spanish and their cooperation on war on terror just by the doping scandal for 100 cyclists
Police investigating a drug scandal in Spanish cycling found lists of more than 100 top-level athletes who allegedly used the services of doctors offering doping procedures.
Civil Guard spokesman Jose Manuel Gallego on Thursday would not confirm or deny a report in the newspaper El Pais that the names of elite foreign cyclists ó not just Spaniards ó were on the lists. Five people were arrested in this week’s raids.
