Me, Good Morning America & One-sided “Islamophobia” Coverage on ABC

By
A few weeks ago, I was contacted by ABC “Good Morning America” producer Mabel Chan for a story she was producing for this past Saturday’s pre-9/11 “GMA.”
The topic was supposed to be 9/11, five years later, and how America’s Muslims are faring. Chan and I spoke on the phone, and she told me she’d be interviewing the TracFone suspects from Dearborn, . She told me of the absurd thesis of the story–that Muslims are the victims of 9/11, five years later. And the story which aired did not disappoint.
Ms. Chan, reporter Ron Claiborne, and ABC News did disappoint, however. While they told their sob story, they missed the real story–that since 9/11 America’s Muslims have been empowered and favored over all other religionists, like never before. I told this to Ms. Chan and gave a lot of examples.

Extremist Muslims For Whom We Should Have Phobia, Post 9/11:

Ali Houssaiky, Osama Sabhi Abulhassan & Osama Siblani

She asked me to send her links to my articles on the topic, and I spent a great deal of time doing that. Then, she complained that she couldn’t access my website, that the articles were too long, that she wanted me to cut and paste articles, that she didn’t understand articles–every excuse you’d hear from a lazy moron, but not a legitimate producer who wanted to put together a good report for a major national network morning news show.
She was completely clueless about the most basic things. And that should tell you something about GMA. I told her how the top federal law enforcement officials in Detroit meet monthly with Muslim extremists who openly support terrorist groups. She asked why that is wrong. I asked her if it would be okay of mob officials got such regular meetings. She didn’t know what “the mob” was. She’d never heard of it. No lie.
When I explained it to her, she got frustrated and decided she didn’t want to interview me for the story, giving me a million excuses, including that she had a sudden medical problem. She promised she’d get an opposing view for this sob story. But she never did. Throughout the 5 minute, 20-second report–very long for TV news–there is not a single opposing viewpoint to the BS, but plenty of apologists for Islamofascism, like Jim Zogby (head of the Arab American Institute) and pan-Islamist academic, John Esposito (of Georgetown University).
The entire story–by reported Ron Claiborne–is transcribed here. The video is here. As you can see for this set-up, they found the most clueless-sounding, intolerant-appearing Americans, with the most prejudiced-sounding clips they could provide of “ugly, bigoted Americans” as the foil for the Muslims. This explains why she couldn’t have me on. I was too reasonable.
The fact is that Islamophobia is a concept creation by terror supporters to avoid addressing the problem: their religion fosters and supports terrorists. What Americans are justly afraid of is supporters of this religion’s extremism and fascism, which would impose their lifestyle on us. They are afraid of the terrorist groups supported by those same religious fanatics, all of whom just so happen to be Muslim.
The story quotes and portrays extremist Osama Siblani, editor and publisher of the Arab American News as some sort of loyal American and patriot. But he is an . He was by a Kuwaiti newspaper. This is a loyal American? No. Loyal Americans don’t defend groups that blow up 300 plus U.S. Marines and civilians. They don’t support and defend America’s enemies.
The story also sobs over Houssaiky and Abulhassan, the TracFone buyers who lied to police and obstructed justice. The lie is not mentioned. But Abulhassan is quoted as saying that he told the police he did nothing wrong. Actually, Abulhassan told Washington County, Ohio sheriffs the exact opposite–that he knew what he did was wrong and that he knew there could be no legitimate purpose for buying that many cellphones.
But don’t count on ABC to tell you that. Don’t count on ABC to tell you that Abulhassan’s and Houssaiky’s investigation is continuing, and that last week, a grand jury hearing was held (details here and here). Or that they will have to plead guilty to lying to police, an open and shut case. Nope, ABC pretended their slate was wiped clean.
Just like the ABC whitewash of Islamic extremists, 5 years after 9/11. Good Morning America? More like Good Morning IslAmerica.
There is a phobia that’s loud and clear here. And it’s not a fear of Islam. It’s a fear of telling the truth about its extremists here in America.

Islamophobia implies that your fear is irrational. The reality is, not fearing Islam is irrational. What would they have called being anti-Nazi in the 1930’s. Naziphobia?

Add ABC News to Scholastic, Seventeen Magazine, The NY Times, The Washington Post, and al-Jazeera.
What did Jilted Carroll say? Something to the effect that we need a better-informed public?

Sad to say, there needs to be a few more attacks against us, before the public REALLY gets galvanized on this. The really bad part is, if the GOP is in charge, the Leftie Loonie Dems will say: “see, Bush sucks”, yet if it happens on the Dem’s watch, they will say “Bush should have stopped this in its planning stages”.

ON 9/11: TERRORISM IS ALIVE AND WELL
BY: FERN SIDMAN
As the world stops to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, it appears that the war on terror has only just begun.
According to a JTA news release of 9/11/06, it would appear that Al Qaida is still planning attacks on the USA. The report states that “On the fifth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, Al-Qaida urged Muslims to attack Israel. In a statement aired Monday by CNN, Ayman al-Zawahiri, Osama bin Ladenís deputy, warned the West that it would suffer further attacks by Islamic terrorists. ìYou gave us every legitimacy and every opportunity to continue fighting you,î he said. ìYou should worry about your presence in the Gulf, and the second place you should worry about is Israel.î
In remarks that attested to the fact that the statement was recent, Zawahiri lambasted the United States for supplying Israel with weapons and urged the Muslim world to ìrush with everything at its disposal to the aid of its Muslim brothers in Lebanon and Gaza.î
On the Iranian front, The Jerusalem Post of 9/10/06 reports that, “Iran maintained its refusal Sunday to suspend uranium enrichment as the Europeans gave signs that they might be willing to open talks first if Teheran would commit to a freeze soon after the start of negotiations. “The issue of suspension is a thing of the past. We won’t return to the past,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi told a press conference in Teheran.
It is clear that the Iranian government does not fear the threat of international sanctions and is planning to fully implement their uranium enrichment program, thereby creating a nuclear arsenal which threatens the very existence of Israel and the Western world. According to a report from the Israel Today web site, 9/11/06, the head of military intelligence Maj. General Amos Yadlin, warned that “international sanctions would not stop Iran from developing their nuclear program. Iran is showing great confidence and is continuing to enrich uranium. They are stalling for time, and now they want to continue with the research,î Yadlin said. ìWe assess that the international pressure must be increased, but the pressure and the sanctions will not stop them.î
Today, former Iranian President Mohammed Khatami spoke at Harvard University. While condemning the 9/11 attacks on the United States, he expressed his full support for Hezbollah in their battle against Israeli “colonization”. According to a JTA report of 9/11/06, “He also mounted a defense for his successor, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who has stirred international controversy by calling the Holocaust a ìmythî and set up a cartoon competition and academic conference dedicated to those who question the extent of the Nazi genocide. ìI personally believe that he really didnít deny the existence of the Holocaust,î said Khatami.
If this kind of blather wasn’t enough for one day, Israel Today (9/11/06) also reported that, “Head of Military Intelligence Maj. General Amos Yadlin told the Israeli cabinet that Iran is expected to give between $150 million to $180 million to Hizballah to rebuild Lebanese homes bombed by Israel during the war. He also said that Syria is looking into creating a Hizballah-like guerilla organization to fight Israel on the Golan Heights. Yadlin said in the meeting that Hizballah is currently looking for new ways of resistance such as using the Palestinians to open multiple fronts, a move which was unsuccessful during the war.”
Hezbollah can now continue to appear as a hero to the Lebanese people by bankrolling the rebuilding of their homes and providing a wide variety of social services. It is also clear that Iran is financing the military buildup of Hezbollah forces to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars. Now that Syria has announced the formation of its own Hezbollah like terrorist organization, there is no doubt that the terrorism will escalate exponentially.
On another front, it was also reported in Arutz Sheva (9/11/06) that the warring factions of Hamas and Fatah have come to an agreement to settle their disputes and create a national unity government. According to the Arutz Sheva report, Abu Abbas of Fatah and Ismail Haniyeh of Hamas have agreed to form a unity government hoping that the international political boycott of Hamas will be removed. The report states, “The two Arab leaders announced in Gaza this afternoon (Monday) that they had agreed on guidelines for the new Palestinian Authority government.
Abbas’ Fatah party was trounced by Hamas in elections earlier this year. He said that the new government’s diplomatic plan is based on the Prisoners’ Document – a paper drawn up this past May by several leading terrorists imprisoned in Israel. Among those who formulated the document were Fatah’s Marwan Barghouti, who is serving five life sentences for murdering Israelis, Abdel Halik Al-Natsheh of Hamas, and Islamic Jihad’s Bassam Al- Saadi.
The original goal of the document was to restore coordination between the PLO (Fatah) and Hamas, without granting recognition to Israel. The document calls for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, in Judea, Samaria and Gaza, without withdrawing claims to the area known as pre-1967 Israel, within the Green Line.
The so-called “right of return” for millions of Arabs to Israel is emphasized five times in the paper, and the PLO’s stage-by-stage policy is also reaffirmed.
Significantly, the Prisoners’ Document encourages further terrorism – in violation of the Road Map plan’s fundamental demands – by calling for the “widening the circles of resistance” and for the “release of all [terrorist] prisoners” held by Israel “by all means.” Support of “those who bore the burden of resistance, in particular the martyrs’ families” – i.e., suicide bombers and their relatives – is encouraged.”
At least Hamas is open, honest and forthright about their intentions. They always have been. So much for those who believed that Abu Abbas (Abu Mazen) was dedicated to furthering peace. So much for Prime Minister Olmert’s attempts to include Abbas in his convergence-realignment plan. So much for those in the Bush administration who attempted to present Abbas as “the voice of reason” within the PA camp. Mr. Abbas’ ties to terrorism go back all the way to 1972 when he was a finance officer for the group called Black September which was responsible to the murder of eleven Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympic Games.
Let us face facts. Terrorism is alive and well. It is a burgeoning movement within the Islamic Fascist world. The historical background of this movement deserves closer examination. Al Qaida terrorist activities did not begin yesterday or the day before or even on September 11, 2001. It did not even begin in February of 1993 when terrorists bombed the World Trade Center.
The first evidence of Al Qaida terrorism manifested itself on the evening of November 5, 1990 in New York City when Egyptian born Al Qaida terrorist and operative El Sayyid Nosair murdered Rabbi Meir Kahane, ZTK”L. Within hours after the assassination, the New York City police department labeled this horrific crime as a routine homicide, without even investigating the suspect.
According to an article by Seamus McGraw on the Court TV web site, crimelibrary.com, it states, “As authorities would later discover, the bullets fired from Nosair’s gun were the opening salvo in a war, a war waged by Islamic extremists against America and its interests. Within three years of the Kahane shooting, a group of men closely linked to Nosair, men led by the blind Sheik Omar Ahmad Abdul Rahman, would launch the first attack on the World Trade Center, setting off a deadly bomb in the basement of the towering building. Later, members of the cabal would be accused of planning a reign of terror against New York, plans that included attacks on the city’s bridges and tunnels. And a few years after that, a handful of terrorists, under orders from Osama bin Laden and his Al Qaeda network, a network that counted some of Nosair’s allies among its members, would ultimately topple those towers, and attack the Pentagon.”
And now it would appear that New York City Police Department detective John Molelli has broken his silence concerning his investigation into the crime. According to Arutz Sheva (9/11/06) Detective John Molelli was the first one “to find and examine the papers in Nosair’s rented house in Cliffside, New Jersey. Molleli found and closely examined boxes of notebooks and other papers written in Arabic, complete with diagrams that revealed the existence of a terrorist cell operating in the New Jersey ñ New York area. The papers included plans to attack a number of targets in New York City, including the World Trade Center. Police found photos of the Twin Towers, the Empire State Building and the Washington Monument. They found manuals on how to make bombs. They also found written materials promoting terror attacks on American soil. He broke his silence about the evidence he found and its link to the World Trade Center attacks this year, the fifth since the Twin Towers were completely destroyed in a terror attack that rocked the world.”
The report goes on to say that, “The evidence was quickly removed to the offices of the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and was largely ignored until the 1993 terror attack on the Twin Towers. Six people died and 100 were injured in the bombing. In the wake of the attack, the boxes that Molelli had discovered in Nosair’s rented house and which had been confiscated by the FBI were finally opened and closely examined, and the Arabic was translated. Nosair was later convicted as a co-conspirator of Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman for the 1993 bombing, as well as conspiracy to attack New York landmarks and assassinate U.S. politicians. Both men were sentenced to life in prison without parole, plus 15 years. It was only after that trial that Nosair was also convicted of murdering Kahane as part of the ìseditious conspiracy.î Nosair continued to manage the affairs of the al-Qaeda terror cell that continued to operate in the U.S. and on September 11, 2001 succeeded in completing the job it attempted in 1993 — the destruction of the World Trade Center.”
It is clear that US authorities never really made an effort to investigate the murder of Rabbi Kahane. It is clear that the New York DA who prosecuted this case made no effort at uncovering facts that could have lead to Nosair’s conviction on murder charges. The murder of Rabbi Kahane was of no importance to authorities. It is also clear that the negligence displayed by the NYPD, the FBI and other investigatory agencies in thoroughly investigating and prosecuting this case directly lead to further terrorist attacks, culminating in the 9/11/01 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Thousands of lives could have been spared if the US government made a concerted effort to get to the bottom of this heinous conspiracy, rather than immediately sweeping it under the rug.
Terrorism is indeed alive and well. At this moment in time, the world mourns for the victims of 9/11. It is a date that will live in infamy, a date that has signified a drastic change in the world in which we live. We mourn for all victims of Islamic terrorism. As Jews, we know we are the major targets of terrorism, we always have been and will be. It is time to acknowledge that our fate and destiny is not in the hands of the savage and ruthless terrorist organizations who threaten our annihilation. Our fate is in the hands of our Creator, the Almighty G-d of Israel. We must never fall victim to the fear that terrorists seek to place in our hearts. We are a people who acknowledges and fears only the Master of the Universe. Through our faith and trust in G-d, we know it is He, and He alone who has the power to eradicate our enemies.
Let us remember and recite the words that we utter after our daily prayers. “Do not fear terror that comes suddenly, nor the holocaust of the wicked when it comes. Plan a conspiracy and it will be annulled, speak your speech and it will not stand, for with us is G-d.”

Disturbing. These journos sound like over eager students trying to impress a teacher. I know that the more knowledge I get on the real islam the more it scares me.

Today, on the Left, there’s sympathy for Islam as a victim group and a rescrudence of hatred for Jews among the “enlightened” crowd. Which explains the bias on the “Good Morning America” broadcast. Debbie’s not just a Jew and a conservative – she’s written and spoken out against the group liberals have adopted as a pet cause. Sure, there’s hate in this country. But its not directed at Muslims. Jews and Americans come for a lot of it. Have we learned the lessons of 9/11 five years later? Given the tenor and thrust of the ABC piece, I invite every one on here to draw the sensible conclusion.

Who said Mozlums are innocent of terrorism? They are still at it — ONE way tickets, Mozlum names, Yemen, etc. etc.

ROMULUS, Mich. – A man with a one-way ticket to Yemen attempted to board a plane with a knife hidden in a book, authorities said.

Mohammed Ghanem, 21, of Hamtramck, was jailed Saturday on $500,000 after being arraigned on a charge of possessing a weapon in the sterile area of an airport.
Ghanem was arrested Thursday at Detroit Metropolitan Airport after Transportation Security Administration officers detected the knife “artfully concealed” in the book, airport spokesman Michael Conway said.
Someone had carved out the inside of the book and placed the knife inside it, said Ghanem’s attorney, Nabih Ayad.
“He said he didn’t know where the knife came from,” Ayad told the Detroit Free Press.
If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison.
Ghanem was born in Yemen, a republic bordering Saudi Arabia whose 18 million residents are primarily Muslim. He is now a legal permanent resident of the United States and was returning to Yemen to get married, Ayad said.
Ghanem works as a busboy and lives in Hamtramck with family members, but he had a one-way ticket to Yemen, authorities said.

On the anniversary of 9/11, I can say without reservation that we are no more safer now than on that day. As long as the liberals, the media, and the gutless wastes of DNA we have in givernment continue to pander to and play mamby-pamby with the Islamofascists and the rest of the Jihad excrement we will never put an end to it.
Terrorists and their twisted mindset are akin to cancer…you don’t eradicate it by talk or throwing weak, politically correct action towards it; you attack it aggressively and destroy it!

Very interesting thread. Here’s my two cents…
1. As to TV news producers, I have worked with several, and they are all VERY stupid. But, more than that, they are overworked, vastly underpaid, and feel that they most toady up to whoever is in charge to get ahead. Thus, the mindless Leftist bent, which they also picked up in journo school.
2. As to FBI/government inaction and incompetence, pleae remember the first rule of bureaucracy. You get promoted or retain your job by INACTION, no action. And, if you must act, make sure it is largely cosmetic, and you can take immediate credit for it.
Unfortunately, as this philosophy moves into the highest levels, it becomes indistinguishable from treason.
3. As to the Left siding with those who would kill them, you must realize that to be a true believer on the Left, you have to beleive it with an absolute religious faith. This is easy for them, since they are all atheists, but still need soemthing to believe in.
Thus, no matter what else happens, they must view everything through their sick prism. If Ethel Rosenberg preferred to die and leave her kids orphans, rather than to betray the great cause (although it was obviously found out), then nothing the Left ever does should surprise you.
That is what “useful idiots” are all about.
To paraphrase the greatest Jew of all time…
“Better they should have a great millstone hung around their neck, and be drowned in the depths of the sea…”

Islamophobia Questions – answer YES and the ëphobiaí will go away!
Will Muslims confirm that the expressed desire of some of the faithful for a worldwide caliphate is to be purged from their teachings (and their websites) and will Muslim leaders publicly renounce all those that support this worldview?
Will Muslims do something positive toward the radical elements within their own ranks by purging Mosques of radical clerics an hold them legally accountable for those that act on their instructions?
Will Moslems actively seek to broaden their junior schoolsí curriculum and ensure that only students, that have reached the age of reason, attend institutions that are dedicated exclusively to studying the Qurían?
Will Muslims actively and constantly rebuke, loudly and publicly, those that undertake violent jihad and denounce the concept as being defunct and belonging to another time (much as the Christians have done with their revolting concepts of the crusades)?
Will Muslims actively return to the now practically abandoned practice of broad spectrum ìijtihadî and as a world religion start a process of enlightenment in a similar way the Christians did with their period of reformation?
Will Muslim scholars and clerics actively endorse a program of democratization and work conscientiously and consistently seek to remove dictatorial governments?
Will Muslims walk away from the concept of a theocratic state and acknowledge that civil law must always out way sharia law?
Will Muslims publicly rebuke governments and organisations that fund violent Islamic movements in foreign lands, such as the one that has existed in Thailand for some years?
Will Islamic religious leaders publicly denounce brutal regimes that are involved in ethnic cleansing such as Somalia and Sudan and volunteer armed forces to United Nations missions involved in attempts to install democratic governments in failed states?
Will Muslims, through a process ijtihad suppress and deny the sura and hadith that are highly offensive to non-Muslims by insisting that their followers acknowledge and accept that they refer to specific historical times and events that no longer exist and therefore render them void?
Will Muslims allow those that wish to leave the faith to do so without retribution?
