Are You a Terrorist?: Absurd, PC Air Marshal Quota System Says Yes

By
The hard-working Air Marshals in the Federal Air Marshal Service (FAMS) have enough problems on their hands.
From silly dress codes and procedures that make them stick out like a sore thumb to terrorists, to incompetent, intractable management, they have a tough job which has been made even tougher.
The past few weeks, a series of brave and justly angry Federal Air Marshals have been granting television and other media interviews around the country. The latest and most disturbing is one from Denver’s ABC 7 News, in which a Federal Air Marshal discusses the new, absurd quota system put into place by FAMS management.

Apparently because the FAMS has fallen pray to the political correctness throughout the Department of Homeland Security, the agency can’t just put Islamic terrorists in the federal terrorist database. No. That would be wrong. Instead, FAMS has instituted quotas, requiring Air Marshals to file a report on at least one , every month, even if the traveler did nothing wrong. This outrage could put you on a no-fly or watch list and affect your ability to travel.
Here’s more from the report:

You could be on a secret government database or watch list for simply taking a picture on an airplane. Some federal air marshals say they’re reporting your actions to meet a quota, even though some top officials deny it.
The air marshals, whose identities are being concealed, told 7NEWS that they’re required to submit at least one report a month. If they don’t, there’s no raise, no bonus, no awards and no special assignments.
“Innocent passengers are being entered into an international intelligence database as suspicious persons, acting in a suspicious manner on an aircraft … and they did nothing wrong,” said one federal air marshal.
These unknowing passengers who are doing nothing wrong are landing in a secret government document called a Surveillance Detection Report, or SDR. Air marshals told 7NEWS that managers in Las Vegas created and continue to maintain this potentially dangerous quota system.
“Do these reports have real life impacts on the people who are identified as potential terrorists?” 7NEWS Investigator Tony Kovaleski asked.
“Absolutely,” a federal air marshal replied.
7NEWS obtained an internal Homeland Security document defining an SDR as a report designed to identify terrorist surveillance activity.
“When you see a decision like this, for these reports, who loses here?” Kovaleski asked.
“The people we’re supposed to protect — the American public,” an air marshal said.
What kind of impact would it have for a flying individual to be named in an SDR?
“That could have serious impact … They could be placed on a watch list. They could wind up on databases that identify them as potential terrorists or a threat to an aircraft. It could be very serious,” said Don Strange, a former agent in charge of air marshals in Atlanta. He lost his job attempting to change policies inside the agency.
That’s why several air marshals object to a July 2004 memo from top management in the Las Vegas office, a memo that reminded air marshals of the SDR requirement.

Political Correctness run amok at the Federal Air Marshal Service. G-d help them.
Thanks to reader, Bill R., and many brave Federal Air Marshals and their association for the tip.

I really do love this one – when we have no many real life threats to do deal with, the paper pushers at headquarters insist on filling out forms in triplicate. Meeting your quota means the forms gets filled out but the real security threats go on being conspiculously ignored. Homeland Security has the wrong priorities – not a surprise given the attitude of those running the department. Their idea of security is their own before its the country. So far things haven’t gone wrong and its due both to luck and the dedication of the professionals who persist in doing the right thing despite the buck passing and obsession with peripheral matters of their bosses back at HQs.
What’s needed are fewer paper pushers in Washington and more people in the field who get the authority and funds to do their job. A lot of the silly political correctness that hampers anti-terrorism work wouldn’t be an issue if decisions were made by those who know the real threats best as opposed those who only know them second hand in their ivory tower offices. The culture of our domestic security establishment is in need of a through overhaul. Let’s put substance into the phrase “homeland security.” The American people expect it.

Quotas aren’t surprising when it comes to the government. They love such things.
When the NWO operatives enacted the events of 9/11, one of their goals was to severely restrict our freedoms. (Police-states cannot tolerate free movements of their people without excessive restraints and surveillance.)
When you fly today, you are often treated as a criminal by uneducated, hostile TSA employees, and should you ‘dare’ defend yourself from the gross actions and violations by these gorillas, you are likely to be arrested.
(Tip: If you must fly, you would be wise to take a videocamera with you to document any excessive or illegal mistreatment you receive. It’s better than an eyewitness. I take mine even when I drive my car because I know that a whirring videocamera is a hellish nightmare in court for a lying, corrupt cop. And don’t allow a cop to intimidate you into turning off your camera; you have a right to protect yourself and you would be wise to do so in an ever-increasing police-state.)
The NWO cabal doesn’t want you to travel easily as we did in the past. They now insist upon making an airplane trip like a visit to a gulag.
Why do you think they installed Norman Mineta as TSA head? This aging nutjob was still nursing decades of pent-up hatred for Americans when Bu$ch handed him the job of Travel Czar.
Mineta told ’60 Minutes’ about how he had his baseball mitt stolen away from him by a US military internment camp guard back in the 40’s when he and his family were sent to a Utah internment camp.
He never forgot that humiliation and he made up for it by making certain that millions of Americans were hassled, investigated, humiliated and arrested at airports across the USA. Mineta was tailor-made for the job and don’t think the NWO cabal didn’t know it.
Mineta also made certain that Muslims were never profiled; the TSA sued various airlines who dared to attempt to protect their crews and passengers by profiling Muslims. Why? Control.
This was done in an effort to essentially place airline transportation under the control of the NWO cabal.
