Remember all of those cool video games from the ’80s–PacMan, Frogger, etc? Well, what would happen if all of those old school games took over New York City? It takes 2010 technology to see it . . .

As cool as it looks, many of us here in NYC just sadly cannot “enjoy” it like the rest of you guys. I was here on 9/11 and almost lost my husband. Our livelihoods were nearly ruined and fighter jets flying low cover over our eerily quiet neighborhoods was something else. I guess it’s a little PTSD for me but I find nothing appealing anymore about ANYTHING attacking my city when it is a daily miracle that these Islamic demons have not done harn to us yet once again. Sorry folks. I know I am too sensitive but… please understand.

Yeah, that’s a point well taken, I think. While being a “cool” concept, in the abstract, the setting was a bit too “close to home,” even for some of us who aren’t from NYCity.

Pretty cool concept, I agree, though as much as I enjoyed this for what it was, 9/11 did cross my mind too. Zookeeper, if half the population felt as strongly about the real thing as you do about this animation the country would be in much better shape. Sadly, like everything else that really matters, it already seems it’s been mostly forgotten.
I wonder if the intention of the producer was to maybe remind us of that day. Probably not, but just maybe…
On a side note, when my kids saw this video the first thing they said, even though they understood it was just computer generated, was that they felt bad for the people in the cars. I don’t think playing (age appropriate) video games distances normal healthy kids from reality, I think those that are influenced weren’t really taught right from wrong to begin with, and unfortunately there’s plenty of those around.

For those of you offended by this video because it was in new york city and throwing 9/11 into it….tells me you completely missed the point of the video.
The point of that video was to tell the viewer that videogames wants to come out of the TV and turn the world into a digital place to live.
I got a big kick out of the pacman and donkey king apperances!!

Dear Squirrel3D, I am glad that you were spared the horror of that day but don’t dismiss what happened and the fact that many people were permanently impacted by it. FWIW, those Israelis are truly amazing for enduting jihad shite on a daily basis.

Horney, while we Israelis had major security problems 8-10 years ago, things are very calm now.
I have less concern letting our children out to play in the streets of Jerusalem than I would if we lived in NYC.
That’s not to say there aren’t problems or problematic areas, but the overall picture is one of every day living.
But when the time comes, and it will, I hope there’s Israeli political and military leadership that will knock the balls off of the Arabs and Jihadists that try to lay a finger on us.
Later today, one of our sons has his IDF graduation ceremony from 1st stage basic training. Other than the lousy army boots they give him, he’s one happy soldier, ready and waiting to do what needs to be done when deemed necessary.

Of course this has nothing to do with 9/11, it’s just that certain scenes can trigger memories of other events, some not so pleasent. What came to mind the first time you saw Darth Vader and the Storm Troopers?…though I’m quite sure that one was intentional.
I thought this was an excellent video, very imaginative, the Tetris part being my favorite, but why is it the worst always happens to New York and Tokyo? 😉
