Another Reason for “United 93”: Moussaoui Deliberations, Day 5

By
Today is Day FIVE(!) of jury deliberations as to whether Al-Qaeda terrorist Zacarias Moussaoui should be put to death.
While yesterday’s deliberations were cut short due to illness of a juror, that it is now day five is evidence enough that “United 93” () is, in fact, coming to theaters tonight too late, NOT too soon.
The decision to put this terrorist–who knew of and was complicit in the deaths of thousands of innocent Americans–to death should be a no-brainer. But it isn’t. The jurors even (which the judge rightly refused because it was not evidence introduced at trial).
If they don’t understand the horrific events of 9/11 and Moussaoui’s prior knowledge of them–and the appropriate punishment (death) for that–a dictionary won’t help.

One wonders what these jurors were looking up. In case the word was “wimp” or “spineless,” a mirror–not a dictionary–might be appropriate, based on the four days of indecision we’ve seen from them, thus far.
Bin Laden is laughing at them–and us, as are the millions of his compatriots who hate us.

While I agree with you that if ever a person was the poster boy for the death penalty, this pig is it, I also wonder if it is apropriate. First, it would make him, a man who failed in his mission miserably, a hero to the piglet jihadist wannabe’s out there. Secondly, I would like to see what would happen to him if he were in a general prison population. He would be the only person in the joint that would be considered lower than a child molester by the rest of the cons. He would wish he were dead every minute of every day.

JohnnyCab is on point in his comment above, but also maybe the jury is factoring in what everyone with common sense KNOWS–Moussaui is lying http://www.trinidadexpress.com/index.pl/article_opinion?id=147695776
Anyone even vaguely familiar with police work knows that for every high profile crime there are plenty of confessions, usually made by sheeple desperate for attention.
http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/print/CTVNews/20060420/moussaoui_defence_060420/20060420/?hub=World&subhub=PrintStory shows that the Reid-Moussaui plot would play better as a “Dumb and Dumber” sequel than anything LOGICAL, so the jury is probably worrying about what is more important: their souls or their lives (because they will surely get a plethora of death threats if they bring in the WRONG verdict).

I don’t need to post 50 links along with a bunch of tin foil hat type of silly non issues while spouting a million cliche’s like a certain you know who.
He’s guilty, give him death. Who cares whether he is supposedly to be seen as a hero or martyr?
Just simple common sense, simple common justice.

I dont think this PIG will get his ass kicked in prison. On the contrary, the muslim groups in prison will give him protection while he attempts to convert others while in prison. He could become a Jihadist wet dream as a prisoner. Plus even non muslim prisoners probably have anti-american dispositions. Moussaoui could be a hero in prison.

If he is put in Prison he will last than two weeks before some con will shank the pig.
They will be bidding for the right to do justice unlike the wimps on the jury.

ScottyDog,
In a sick twisted way, I hope your right. However, how are the 93 WTC terrorists doing? Sitting pretty in prison from what I understand. They only caused a lot less damage and death but the goal was the same…

I think death is what he wants. Instead we should put him into the general prison population in the worst prison we have (choose one). Then let Big Bubba bend him over every hour for the next forty years.

“Bin Laden is laughing at them–and us, as are the millions of his compatriots who hate us.”
But Debbie why does he hate you?
He’s Rambo 3 – trained by the CIA to fight the Mighty Red War Machine in Afghanistan, you should all love him cos all Americans dig Rambo don’t they?

Nortcliff, you are *sure* a clever guy, aren’t you? Maybe you will have a chance to meet bin Laden or one of his disciples some day and ask your cute little question.
